Publisher Deep Silver originally revealed Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package was coming to the Switch at Gamescom 2018. When the official name was confirmed months later, it suggested the game would include all of the previously released DLC.
It turns out this isn't actually the case. A listing on 365games.co.uk reveals the Bloodsucker Pack and Unlockable Pack won't be included in the Switch release:
Two DLC packs - the Bloodsucker Pack and the Unlockable Pack, have been omitted for game balance and improvement based on feedback.
As noted, the exclusion of these packs is tied to game balance and improvement based on feedback. Below is the Steam description of the Unlockable pack and a look at the Bloodsucker Pack:
The Unlockable Pack gives access to all unlockable items, upgrades and bonuses that weren't chosen during normal gameplay. Now you can have it all!
Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package arrives on the Switch on 10th May 2019.

I wonder if the Unlockable Pack will be paid DLC later...
>_>
Is it being left out entirely, or are those packs just getting released as DLC in the traditional sense? That's an important distinction.
Well, not having literally everything unlocked from the start makes sense, that's fine.
The Unlockable Pack sounds like a cheat DLC... be nice if devs stopped making those... including those stupid OP-armor-at-the-onset DLCs.
Actually, those two DLCs were never included in "The Full Package". They remained separate DLCs.
Saints Row: The Third - The Almost Complete Package.
I bought this game back on PS3.
(it's brilliant, if you like open world games you owe it to yourself to play it.)
the unlockable pack being gone is a no brainer.
the bloodsucker pack, as far as I can tell, was for multi-player only, and didn't do much?
I don't think it was "left out based on feed back"
but rather left out for "improvement based on feedback".
Doesn't sound like a huge loss all in all really.
I had to make a mod to disable the Bloodsucker DLC on Steam (before the days when you could choose which DLC to install). It basically removed all challenge to the game, all money and xp perks unlocked, easy health refills by taking a person hostage. Well, I say disable, but I made it so the content could be unlocked through normal playthrough, which would have been a better way of implementing the DLC.
The unlockable pack basically gives you all rewards from completing the story at the start of the game, so no big loss there
Yeah it hurt the game by having this stuff in the game.
Unless it is $15 - this is all irrelevant 🙄
That’s fine, those DLC were not really improvements. Those NES SP editions that everyone dislikes? That’s what this DLC was. Might as well load up the game into the credits screen.
@JackEatsSparrows I always put those NES SP titles on the bottom row since I’ll never play them.
Do we know the price of this game yet? If it’s full price then no, I’ll play it on my Xbox for free. If it’s cheap, then i’d Love to have it on my Switch
Saints Row: The poor man's GTA until a new GTA comes out
Since I never did play the original SR3 I probably won't care about them missing contents especially if they were never in the game to begin with.
@Kainbrightside
Yeah I played it first on the XBOX 360 and loved it. Then I bought it on PC with the bloodsucker dlc and realised that having all those money unlocks and xp boosts just wouldn't do. So I spent several hours browsing forums and trying different fixes until I found one that worked (and was actually better than the fixes other people had supplied, which locked out all the bonuses that were part of the vanilla game). After that I didn't touch it for a couple of years XD. Stupid thing is that a REALLY simple patch could have fixed the issues people had with it.
If you want to keep the bloodsucker dlc on and choose which parts to activate you can find the mod here:

@N00BiSH
The poor men eat like kings it seems
@N00BiSH SAINTS Row the poor man's GTA lol you should be thankful you get saints row on switch because it's a million times better then that [removed] they call GTA the GTA games are boring too realistic and not fun the only have decent one was San Andreas but all these newer GTA games are about micro transactions I hope GTA never comes to switch because the game is terrible saints row series shits on GTA because it's actually fun to play game is funny cartoon and has online coop campaign if anything you have it wrong buddy GTA is the poor man's Saints row
@Agramonte @Agramonte well if you think its irrelevant if its not gonna be $15 or less you sound like a clown of course it's not gonna be $15 you sound like a cheap fk saying that game will probably cost between $40 - $60 I fell like the $40 or $50 price tag would be fair I probably end up paying full $60 for it if it comes down to it it's either you want this game or don't and this game to me is a system seller was one main reasons I bought a switch after hearing this was coming out but to even think this game with all the dlc will cost $15 I get its old but still that will never happen
Might get it when it's in a 10 dollar bin some day.
@PENGUINOFGOTHAM It is a $15 game, even #4 is a $15 game. It can't cost $60 to port an ancient game with nothing new.
Not been living under a rock waiting to pay 4X more for games we all have had access to for years.
@Agramonte yes I get its like a $20 on ebay sealed for older systems but this one includes all the dlc which was sold separately and I'm sure dlc worth at least another $15 to $20 if $15 max you pay that's up to you just don't surprised when it's not at that price
that developer is trying to make a profit and selling it that cheap with every dlc included they be losing money I would get it if this old game ends up costing more then $40 and people being mad but to me if it's listed at $40 I think that's a fair price and Imma buy it regardless because i was a big fan of that game back on ps3 put over 300 hrs into it
even if its above that $40 and even tho I think its kinda a rip off to pay that much for such and old game it's cool if you are not wanting to pay that much for an old game like that it all comes down to if you really like the game and are willing pay what ever it cost for it
but don't expect it to be $15 I laughed when I seen that if it ever costs that much you know it would be a digital only game because to sell it at that price physical is losing money with manufacture costs and costs of having buy more expensive game cartridges
I was about to get pissed, but that kind of makes sense. However, why not allow us the option to toggle that stuff? Or are they holding it back to make another $5 off those that want to skip all the hours of unlocking stuff? I know the answer my inner cynic believes.
@PENGUINOFGOTHAM So release it as digital. The same as on Steam ($9.99 Base, $14 with all DLC). They can put it on the eShop like Capcom did with Okami (Put the extra $5)
Sure, make retail more expensive - but not like they need the top line cartridge. It is a 10GB game.
Eh. It’s got all the DLC as far as I’m concerned. Those sound like STEAM addition cheats they quickly realized was a bad idea.
@PhilKenSebben
I agree having options is the best end result, but I don't think they're going to sell the last two as additional dlc, they've heard too many complaints. Fortunately the only new gameplay element they introduce is a perk that changes the neck snapping function of human shields into a neck bite which restores your health. So we're not missing out on much.
Is there any info as to whether there will be an additional download for this,or will the full thing be on the cartridge?
I saw the title and was about to riot. But then I read which ones were being left out, and I actually think it's a good choice. Neither of these things really added anything to the game. I ended up having to mod them out on Steam, because they sort of killed any challenge. Not that the game was terribly challenge to begin with, but still.
@Heavyarms55 It says left out for balance and improvement which i assume means the switch cannot run them. On that basis i don't see them ever being released. This system needs an upgrade.
@Agramonte and selling a G7 open world driving game from an established franchise for 15 bucks out the gate is supposed to sound relevant to the publisher. Or did I accidentally click on a Shakedown Hawai article and discussion instead?
@PENGUINOFGOTHAM Please mind your language!
@YANDMAN
Balance and improvement to gameplay, not to the stability of the Switch.
@shaneoh Yeah, that move broke the game a bit imo. Thisll be my third (heh) dip into game, so Ive experienced these enabled. Definitely cant argue about excluding them.
"Full Package" - "Full of Bullsh*t"
So, they've only omitted two cheat codes that were initially disguised as "DLC"?
No loss at all, really. Kids these days have to pay for their cheat codes.
@YANDMAN That doesn't make a lick of sense. By balance, I assume game-play balance. Unlocking everything probably is nuts.
Much ado about nothing, Two DLC that people that actually played the game know that they both were big mistakes in the first place. People will leap all over it and blame switch hardware (really???) and say hilarious stuff "not the full package" but really we dont want these in the game. Paid for cheats.
They can add... A,B, Left, Up, Left, Left, Down, B, B Start in to make up for it....
This is no drama and nothing is missing.
So why call it the full Package??
Even on Steam the Full Package does not include these DLCs.
I won't miss what I never knew so I'm not fussed.
Why not even make them available in the post game or something? Seems strange to not give people the choice.
Doesn’t sound a great loss. Curious to see how it runs but generally looking forward to this.
So its the Full Package then. The original release of the Full Package didn’t have this DLC either. We aren’t missing anything.
@joey302 Because it includes everything that was supposed to go into SR3 and not the two pay-to-cheat DLCs which break progression and gameplay respectively.
@YANDMAN lol no, it's an exp/perk boost and an animation that raises your health... that's pretty much it.
@Bunkerneath it's all the dlc. These are just bs that i don't even remember the ps3 version having.
@PENGUINOFGOTHAM you do realise your username is that of a narcissistic villain? Anyhow, i purchased the full package on ps3 years ago and even then it was 30 dollars new. I'm not sure i could justify more than 20 on this one. We'll see.
The unlockable pack makes sense because it wasn't actual content. You just paid two bucks and it unlocked everything. It was pretty much a paid cheat. The bloodsucker pack is a little fishier, I think. The perk it gave was admittedly really OP, but the costumes and stuff could probably still work. Frankly, I would rather they just include it in full. It's already Saints Row 3, it's not exactly a competitive game.
@Agramonte it's listed at £32.99 on 365 Games, bit pricey but standard Switch tax it seems.
I just hope, that the port will be better than the "HD" Ports from SR4 & Gat Out of Hell on XBOX One ... There are so many annoying framedrops below 20fps on xbox .... (even on X - so it's just a bad port)
i mean, sr3&4 are basically the same. same engine, same graphics ... so i hope they have ported that game with more "love" over to switch. i don't wanna play sr3 with 10fps xD
@PENGUINOFGOTHAM
Saints Row the Third is $14.99 on the Xbox One store, the dlc package is $9.99. So if they made it $25 - $30 on the Switch it might be reasonable.
Switch owners' standards have to be really low for them to get excited over recycled games from last gen
@CaPPa saints row 3 the full package has just been posted up for preorder on Amazon will officially cost $40 for it for physical copy or digital copy not bad that's the price I wanted to be no more then that I think its fair at least it wasn't switch taxes and they didn't try charge $60 like most companies would I just added it to my cart am about to secure my preorder
I love this game, put multiple hours into it, had so much fun, never knew there was dlc until they said what was coming in the switch game lol. I'd be happy just to play the vanilla game, can't wait to play it all over again!
Lol:The not so full package!
Saints Row The Third: The Full Package NEVER included these two packs, not on PC, not on console and wont on switch. This is because these two packs pretty much change details to the game which you can't unchange. The bloodsucker pack for example changes the neck snap animation to sucking blood from somebody, the unlockable pack ruins the choices in the game by simply giving you everything. They will most likely be seperatly bought. But it doesn't really matter since the DLC in this game are all pretty much useless besides Gangsta's in Space, Genkibowl VIII and The Trouble With Clones.
