Phew! Did any catch your eye? In case that wasn't enough, you'll also find a few more discounts in the usual European Nintendo Download this week.
As you can see, all offers end on 23rd May so make sure to grab anything that takes your fancy before that date and let us know which ones you go for in the comments below.

Good sale. I am still waiting for a Mark of the Ninja sale.
Gets excited... Then sees it's for Europe
That's some sale. A lot of really good games there. I think I've more or less got all the ones I want though (I buy too many games).
I guess Nintendo of America doesn't want my money... ok.
Sees Huge European sale
Doesn't see game you want on list
Gets sad
@Kalmaro Region free?
Steamworld Heist will be purchased by me now!
If this comes to North America I'll probably get Ninjin and maybe Apollo Justice
No love for Wii U... I hate that
Awesome sale.
For now picked up prison architect and wulvenblade 😀
Though I have my eye on others......with the other one on my wallet😋
Americans are chopped liver I guess.
Of course, no Stardew Valley. That game never goes on sale.
SteamWorld games on heavy discount is pretty nice, I decided to support Image&Form and grab SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Heist Ultimate Edition. I already have SteamWorld Dig 2 digitally and physically.
I don't yet have SteamWorld Quest though, I'm awaiting its physical release. Actually, a physical release for all of these games eventually would be nice.
Speaking of which, Aegis Defenders is getting a physical release from Limited Run Games. The game has a demo available in the eShop, I'm going to try it.
If this was in North America, my wallet would catastrophically fail and my memory card would be OBLITERATED.
Anyone complaining it's not in the US :
setting up a European account and buying games would've taken up less time than writing your comment.
I will definitely get wonderboy. Was waiting for a sale like this, because i wanted this title but wasn't eager on paying 20 euros for that.
@abbyhitter That is the game I am waiting for to go on sale also.
@ChromaticDracula Good to know NoA protects our wallets
At first glance I can't see any games that I'd be interested in, I'll have another look on the Switch itself later just in case
Absolutely going to be Valkyria Chronicles for me...an amazing game at an excellent price - SOLD to the man throwing his money at the screen!
Great sale. Definitely picking up SteamWorld Heist (70%!!) and probably Valkyria Chronicles as well
Everyone please go buy MEMBRANE! It's a wonderful little puzzle game, and for €0.79 it is a no-brainer!
A sale with games I'm interested in? And a decent discount to go with that!?
Well done Nintendo
Nicely presented. Now everyone should get the Steamworld games, especially Heist!
@Tibob But paying electronically with U.S. currency is not so easy.
Forgotten Anne for me!
Enjoyed the demo and the animation/world was really cool. So for just under a tenner, I can't really say no.
May get Steamworld Dig 2 and one of the Resi Revelations games too if i'm in a real "Treat Yo Self" mood
@fiben1002
All you need is to buy credit from sites such as PlayAsia or PcGameSupply.
The first time you're wonering where you're going, but once everything is set up you can enjoy sales from both continents !
I also saw Celeste was on sale in EU until 14.5.19, finally going to get this for sure.
Nothing from my watch list.... oh well....
Interested in Unruly Heroes! Any thoughts on this game my fellow Koopalings?
Great sale. Picked up Kingdom: New Lands and will probably pick up SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition.
@Tibob PcGameSupply only has U.S. and Canadian. PlayAsia has GBP and EUR but at that markup it practically defeats the purpose of buying on sale.
Me: April was a busy month for my Switch I hope May is nice and quiet.
Nintendo: Here's a fantastic sale on a bunch of games that we see are in your wishlist. I hope you wasn't planning on finishing the games you already starting before buying more.
Me: sigh Here I go again...
You should get Valkyria Chronicles. The amount of content you get for that price is crazy
70% off Steamworld Heist! I knew my patience would pay off
I'm wondering where all the people who usually grab crosses and holy water whenever the word "digital" is mentioned ended up. Not in this comment section, it seems.
"Go digital". No thanks.
The odd good title there. I'm a physical collector when i can. But obviously most of these didn't get a physical release. Tempted by Worms WMD for Switch and Megaman Legacy for 3DS
@AlexSora89
I strongly prefer physical where available, but the reality is these options are very infrequent and don't make up the most profit for these indie developers.
I won't shy from a discounted digital offering if I could still indulge in a physical release down the line.
Heck, I've bought Xenodrifter for less than 2 quid in the past, but would pay a premium to get that physical along with my copy of Mutant Mudds Collection.
Abzu definately this week!
Bastion is £2.12 at the Russian eshop
@fiben1002
Wow ! I never realized PlayAsia was so pricey.
And as I'm in Europe, I never noticed PC Game Supply didn't provide european credit.
Sucks !!
@rushiosan Meh, I could mess with settings and get them but I'm too lazy. I'm bad, I know.
Any word if this is coming to NA?
Humm it appears that I will have to buy quite a few...
just bought road redemption. boom. #oldschoolgamer
I`m done waiting for Nintendo of America. Just created an European Account. What an age we live in!
Edit: I`m getting Valkyria Chronicles. I would Highly recomment: Celeste, Night In The Woods, Oxenfree and Horizon Chase Turbo. Four Amazing games!
There are a lot on here I was waiting for a discount on and a fair few I haven't heard of.
@abbyhitter if you want it that bad just buy it already, not that expensive for the amount of game time you can put into it in my opinion.
@abbyhitter I doubled dipped at full price both times. 100 percent worth it.
I'd bought Steamworld Heist before I even thought to check to see if I had money on my account. Also grabbed Bastion. Never got round to it so I've got it now and it'll be getting played...some time.
Yooka-Laylee and maybe Grip. Anyone recommend these two?
@Tibob but what about us with OCD and need everything in one spot. I like having all my games in one room. Not some in this room in this rack and some in that room in that rack.
Now I will say, I don’t know what’s entailed when it comes to switching shops and redownloading/managing account info etc. it’s just the metaphorical dividing of content, even if it’s not actually divided that throws me off.
I get irk’d merely by the thought of it.
BUT you make an extremely valid point - I always forget that’s an option now to switch regions. For those that can deal with that, your day has come!
@abbyhitter Get it from the Brazilian or Argentinian eshops. It's around 4.50
@brunojenso Yooka Laylee is really cheap at this price. People say a lot of bad things about it, but I reduce that criticism to 25% true and 75% exaggeration. It's a very good platformer for this price
@ChromaticDracula
What do you mean ? Everything is in the same spot, even though it is not FROM the same spot.
Horizon Chase Turbo is definitely worth getting at that price, in case anyone was pondering buying it. Super fast retro styling and loads of fun.
Valkyria Chronicles on Steam: Check.
Valkyria Chronicles on PS3: Check.
Valkyria Chronicles on PS4: Check.
... and now I'm very shortly going to have Valkyria Chronicles On Switch too. Might actually have to play it one day
Also picking up:
Wulverblade (finally on sale)
Horizon Chase Turbo (probably)
Kingdom: New Lands
... and I've got a shortlist of about 6 more to tempt me too.
Pick GoNNER (70%, 3€), a bit of an underrated gem that was worth full price for me.
It's a roguelike platformer with great controls, visuals and music. I have roughly 20 hours on it, though admittedly I've never beaten the final boss
@John_Deacon Cheers bro, that's the vibe I get. Totally decent game reviewed under harsh light.I think I'll take the plunge and make up my own mind.
Once again Nintendo of America fails us. 😑
Definitely time to take the plunge on Steam world Heist!
Valkyria Chronicles and Oxenfree are phenomenal value at those prices!
I’d been waiting on a SteamWorld Heist sale, but I was never expecting 70% off.
Playing my 3DS quite a bit at the moment. 3DS or Switch?
The 3DS version is even cheaper, but more content for Switch. Is the 3D effect any good?
@Dellybelly Dust off your screen. Watch again the sales.
@RupeeClock
Tell me about it - I've finished writing my first novel (Italian language-only, so far - I'll do a proper translation myself further down the line, but the fact English-speaking people do appear in it and are treated as such while the protagonist is Italian requires some cultural reworking of a good bunch of the dialogue) and published it via Amazon, but sadly its reliance on coloured text - which I'm trying to work around these days - combined with its 400-page length resulted in one expensive doorstopper, so of course digital-only ends up being the better alternative for emerging artists in any medium.
That said, I was just trying to get a good zinger in. I enjoy some friendly banter with the no-digital guys here on NL!
Hmmm time to get The Messenger and Valkyria Chronicles I think!
Also maybe Wonder Boy but isn’t it Monster Boy that’s the good one?
@Starvald I love a good deal as much as the next person but have to say Mark of the Ninja is worth every penny full price. Give the devs some support and buy it! I just wish there was a sequel...
@abbyhitter I used to wait on a sale for it myself for quite some time until I finally gave in and just bought it. It ended up being my second most played game on Switch (just behind XC2) and being one of my favourite games of all time. If you are really interested in it, just buy it full price. It's not expensive at all and you will not regret it. It's an amazing game.
As to the sale: sigh, Nintendo. I already spend way too much money on the eshop in April as is. But whatever, time to buy even more games
Is anyone not able to see some of the games. Was looking at GRIP Digital Deluxe but unable to find at the discounted price. Or do I need to use the switch as a few weeks ago found starlink 80 version for sale for 35
Damn those are some good deals. I might buy Yooka-Laylee for €20,-. I heard some critical voices about this game but it looks like a fun collectathon
A lot of these games are now on sell in North America. Just bought Mutant Mudds Collection and Fast RMX.
Not been on my switch for ages since returning to pc (laptop) gaming. Had to partake in this sale though. I actually bought katana zero yesterday but today I've grabbed steamworld heist and Wizard of Legend for £10 ish
Once again, we get the "Nintendo of America sucks" posts, but NoA is actually hosting a similar sale. 😛
Anyone with a PC/Laptop, GoG have a sale on right now. Can recommend Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights.
Irrelevant games mostly. I would only consider New Wonder Boy and RE Revelations. Why no discounts on AAA titles?
No Blossom Tales... No Gris...
Thankfully, this is valid in Australia as well!
There goes my weekend…
There are A LOT of games either backlogged or I had a passing interest about on that list. It's far too large a list to NOT come to NA, so I'll wait. Some of those games like Manticore and Kona have never been on sale, so that tells me it'll come to NA.
Let's hope NA doesn't stand for "Not Applicable" in this case-- I'd see myself out, but everyone left already...
Yes! Pang adventures for me!
Some of these games have also gone on sale in NA, but not all of them. So far, I'm gonna pick up Aegis Defenders and Beat Cop (not on this list, but on sale in NA). If Golf Peaks, OlliOlli, and Tangledeep get discounted in NA, then I'll bite on those as well.
Besides that, I already own a lot of the games on this list, and I sort of regret not waiting them out now. There are some excellent bargains to be found here on great games.
@klingki I just noticed Golf Peaks had a sale & got it. Waiting to see if Tangledeep does too.
@Dellybelly Well then i guess you've bought everything by the sound of it. I on the other hand haven't picked loads of these games as i think the base prices are too high. Just got all the Steamworld games for ridiculous prices and Celeste is looking tempting along with The Messenger and Bastion. I'm sure there are others that I've overlooked before and are now in this sale. Each to their own though i guess
I own Bastion on 3 consoles now, just bought it again today for Switch. 7 bucks. That’s an insanely amazing deal. Obviously so many of you have played Bastion, but if there is anyone out there that hasn’t don’t miss the opportunity to basically get a steal of a deal. Tons of great sales but next to the Steam World games I’d put Bastian right below them.
Guns, Gore and Connoli! Loved the second one, just brought the first one. Show the game some love, you won't regret it!
@LADDLY Thanks that's a good enough reason for me 👌
@Dellybelly I'm not doubting what you're saying regarding exclusives as it's the reason Nintendo consoles sell, but there are plenty of indie games that deserve attention. And a lot of them, the really good ones,have generally sold the best on the Switch. For example, Dead Cells and Hollow Knight have been some of the best games I've played over the last couple of years, Hollow Knight especially, and I can't wait for the sequel that's coming. More great games is only a good thing in my opinion regardless whether they're mainstream or Indies and with the sale at the moment it certainly encourages impulse buys of games I've glossed over previously. The problem I have is finding time to play them 😆
@Rhaoulos Already done! Bastion next I think and maybe Celeste,oh and maybe The Messenger too. Nintendo please extend the sale to after payday!😄
@PlayedNSlayed I bought Bastion and Velocity 2X.
Celeste is really hard but really beautiful and worth the frustration of dying 1500 times to get to the end. Although never managed to finish bonus levels.
@backup368 Good look on Golf Peaks. I somehow missed that one, but now I’ll be grabbing that as well.
I’m also considering Darkest Dungeon. I’ve been on the fence about this one for a while, and I’m not totally sure if I’m gonna like it or not. But it’s tempting...
Forgotten Anne because I really enjoyed the demo, Steamworld Heist because I loved it on Vita and at that price I'm happy to buy it again.
@PlayedNSlayed if you grabbed it I hope your enjoying it, it’s hard for me to describe my initial feelings of the game when I first played it, the narrator of the storyline is absolutely amazing. The story is good, gameplay is amazing! Definitely let me know what ya thought.
@Dellybelly i enjoy playin games in bed. Regardless of how old they are. I refuse to buy xbox and ps4 and pcs are god damm annoying
@Dellybelly no hatred.... ive owned both ps4 and xbox one. Xbox one being a terrible gaming console compared to 360. And terrible customer support. And i just dont like sony... never have. Doesnt mean i am causeing a massive hatred between they companys. Nintendo on the other hand is amazing. Easy to use and just my style. I refuese to buy crap and the only reason why i would buy a ps4 or an xbox one again is to play my old dvds and cds.
@JoeDiddley I bought it for Switch and it plays great. That's the only thing I know.
This sale is also live in Australia.
@MaxlRoseGNR
In the NA sale there are some Wii U games. The drinkbox, image and form ones.
Might have just not been mentioned here.
@Dellybelly your on a nintendo web site bagging nintendo products and endorsing others.... the only person who is causing conflict is you. Ive supported other console. But only to disapointment. Im very happy with the swith and their really awesome controllers. I use the pro myself. You should pick one up. If ya not fan boying over the other consoles to much
Jesus wept let's get the topic back on the sale chat please. It's pathetic listening to the childish banter.
@PapaPedro
MEMBRANE was a pretty good recommendation, enjoyed playing through it 100%, it's fairly short and doesn't outstay its welcome.
Had a mini splurge in the sale so overall I've bought:
Wizard of Legend
Gonner
Pang Adventures
Coffee Crisis
Galak-Z void edition
SteamWorld Heist
I had some coins as well so that haul only cost me £20.
Oh and I also got mana spark for £1.80
Oh and Katana zero 2 days ago lol
@Starvald Absolutely.......patiently......waiting 🧓
Finally grabbed Windjammers and had an absolute blast in multiplayer
@Dellybelly enjoy ya life annd quick picking unneccesery fights
@Dellybelly i love the joy cons. Im sorry you havent looked after your controllers very well. No need to dis something thats amazing but ok. Its your life. Continue your hatred towards others if you must
@brunojenso tell me what you think after you get it and play
@Pickle_Rick
Have a good one with Gonner ! By all means don't spoil yourself with videos or wiki stuff : figuring out the game is the best part !
@John_Deacon Cool, Will do.
@Tibob
Yeah it's quite good so far. No idea what's going on but I like it.
Downloaded Bridge Constructor Portal and was not disappointed, great game and very funny!
@Dellybelly
I bought my Switch for an indie game. Blaster Master Zero. Also soon after for Vostok Inc. Some people actually prefer the indies on the Switch.
Also even if you hate 95% of the o does on Switch. At nearly 1000 indies on Switch, that’s still 50 games for you.
@Dellybelly Bought my Switch for Isaac.
My most played games :
The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth : 135h
Zelda Breath Of The Wild : 115h
Into the Breach : 75h
Shovel Knight : 75h
@Dellybelly mate your a tool... ignore
I'm still sticking to physical copies.
@Oubie I dug it. Didn't go too far in yet but it reminds me a LOT of Rayman Origins. Beautiful art
Here's to hoping for naruto trilogy being on sale finally next week
Ended up picking up eight more of these to throw on the backlog. Too many good games to play.
The Mario Kart World Tour Beta is live in Japan. Heavy monetization. You can gain an advantage by purchasing the rare cars. I hope we get a report here soon.
You know, I just noticed that MEMBRANE was the only title with a 90% reduction in the sale.
"Up to 90%" doesn't hold much water does it?
@RupeeClock It's not wrong though.
And not a single Nintendo published game is on sale.
@RupeeClock welcome to marketing ^^
If you don't already own them, do yourself a favor and get all of the Steamworld games
As an NoA player that has purchased from the Japanese eShop, I don't understand why other NoA players are bummed out about a Euro sale... It's as simple as making a Euro account if you really want to participate.
@Tibob
@fiben1002
The markup is very small on cdkeys. That's where I get my european eshop credit. Nintendolife did an article about it on April 28th.
https://www.cdkeys.com/nintendo/eshop-topup-cards/nintendo-eshop-25-card-nintendo-3ds-ds-wii-wii-u
Alternatively you could set up a european paypal account. I use paypal for the japanese eshop
I bought cuphead which is totally not on sale 😅 but I feel like I should buy something else before the sale ends! Whats everyone’s recommendations? Under $20AU 😜
@Reverandjames I'm pretty sure paypal has a very small conversion fees on international orders but its not as significant as the markup that you would pay for buying japanese eshop codes from third parties.
I got steam world heist.got final fantasy 7 aswell because for 12 quid it's all goodone. also outrun which I hope is a bit of fun
@Reverandjames
I checked it and the average discount across Switch titles is 46.30%
@Pickle_Rick I agree brother.does anyone know if steam world heist is as good as people say.I chose heist over the dig games.hope it's good
@ryobi85
Heist is great but its a totally different game to the dig games. Both worthy of a cash outlay though
Picked up Horizon Chase Turbo. Good game but it crashes in the Playroom menu so I'm kind of disappointed.
Most of these are offered in NA eshop at these prices. I picked up Guacamelee and Steamworld Heist myself but there’s more I have my eye on.. too many really. I can’t recommend Wandersong enough if anyone hasn’t gotten to play it.
One game at 90%. One. And they say "up to 90%". Technically it's true, but... c'mon!
Thank you for the reminder!
Although, anything that takes my interest, that I don't already own, is 30% off or less, so I think I won't hurry to the store this time. When I find time to play something new, I can send those few extra euros the developers' ways. :9
@Pickle_Rick thanks!well long as it's good then all good 👍the dig games look really cool to be honest.I have to many games don't know where to start.I haven't even started zelda yet 😐
Grabbed Steamworld Heist and Bastion very late last night due to this timely reminder, so thanks! (The Messenger and Valkirya C can wait until another pay-day near miss!)
