@tanaka2687 I feel like that's pretty weak, we're not even a year into Switch 2 and the current lineup is pretty sparse. Haven't seen the Yoshi game or Fire Emblem since they first showed them off, and theres got to be more in the pipeline.

Need an actual Direct at this point. Maybe next month.

Its between Gen 7 and Gen 2 for me. My favorite gens so I am biased.

Ended up grabbing the upgrade, this is one of my top 10 games and im glad for the performance increase, even though it played smoothly already.

@Dark_Isatari Same, the previous game had gorgeous character art.

Ive heard good things about it, looking forward to it and MGS4/Peace Walker.
Peace Walker in particular as I've yet to play it and I cant find the HD rom online.

Will get it eventually. Wasn't a huge fan of the 3ds remake, but I'm hoping Reimagined will change my view of VII. Didn't help that the 3ds version had input lag in battles.
If they make a Reimagined VIII I will be on it day one, Dragon Quest VIII remains my 2nd favorite game of all time.

Great game, loved it on PC. Not sure if I'd double dip.

Hope the new Koopaling stuff is substantial, the additional multiplayer content doesn't interest me. But I'd love for more of Wonder, pun not intended, but it truly is a wonderful game. My favorite 2D mario, and in contention for favorite platformer.

@Dr_Awkward I'm not screaming about anything, but you seem to want to die on the hill of your AI generated dialogue options, so you can have them. Enjoy your "reactive" NPC's with poorly generated dialogue.

@Dr_Awkward Ignoring your jabs, but why would you even want your world building NPC dialogue to not just be written by a human being? As it currently stands it does not save time, or come up with quality dialogue or story. You could just have a human being hand craft it, rather than have someone prompting and then editing said output. Even taking away any plagiarism claims it's not worth it, as there are still plenty of other issues with generative AI. Its not any more efficient than good writers fleshing out their own game, and it won't surpass the quality of a normal writing process.

@Dr_Awkward Your knowledge of Gen AI is half baked, and plagiarism is literally only one aspect of why it shouldn't be used. And you'll have no way of knowing if that "in world lore" was trained on their own content. Even then, human written content will always be superior. This isn't some "new technology bad" Satanic Panic, theres myriad examples of how inept it is at simple tasks.

@Nep-Nep-Freak It doesn't matter if a person makes something similar or not totally original, as long as its not plagiarism. Its made by a human, not an AI. GenAI is always plagiarising from someone, and theres no actual human element to it. If you want to play GenAI created games be my guest, but I have no desire to touch them.

@MarioLinkSamus The problem is how it's "creating" what it comes up with. All that data, art, etc. has to come from somewhere, and it's taking that from non consenting parties to generate what it comes up with. Even were it using data entirely from within the company, that's only the tip of the iceberg. Ultimately its not creating things of quality or care. Look to the latest debacle with Larian, their own higher ups who are forced to use Gen AI such as the lead writer has stated what its putting out is of poor quality. Its not augmenting them, its only something to get in the way of actual human creativity.

@MarioLinkSamus Thats not what generative AI means. Procedurally generated or NPC AI is entirely different. Generative AI takes from other existing sources to spit something out, and doesn't result in what you've suggested except potentially speaking to NPC's via microphone, which would have to use GenAI to pull responses from.
GenAI should never be part of the creative process for many reasons, because its scraping that data its using from someone else's work and mashing it together.

Ubisoft continues to crumble. And the GenAI investment is yet another reason not to buy their games.

I must agree with the comments above. Its just an okay game with good bosses, graphics and music, but poor design choices such as the desert/crystals and a completely unimportant story.

Got to meet Charles at a convention years ago. Wonderful man, nothing but respect and admiration for him.

After the opening stint with him it was fine. He just spoke way too much in the segment you were with him.

Just finished SH2R, they did a fantastic job with it. Looking forward to February.

I've yet to play Cronos or Silent Hill 2 remake, but given how well received they've been they have my attention. Fiending for more horror games.

I recently beat Divinity Original Sin 1. Started another playthrough of 2, but I've also finally given Hades 1 some of the time it deserved. Had it forever but never gave it its due. Finally beat my first run last night. Excited to continue.

I hope it gets a bit more in the near future, but ill likely be starting a new game today.

Wonderful, was just wondering if it would get one. Ive been wanting to do another playthrough so this is great timing.

Just beat it last night. Solid game, great music, graphics and boss fights. Didn't mind the side characters beyond Myles early on. Desert area and crystal collecting bring it down a bit, if that was tightened up or removed it'd be an easy 9/10 for me. Story was also just a bit. nothing. Also really short.

Even as someone who hasn't played Shovel Knight, im pretty confident that the game will likely be quite good, and will sell well.

I wouldn't mind getting Kirby, but absolutely not for the price theyre selling them.

I love the insane amount of content and quality in it, but playing the online demo actually tempered my desire to play it. Going to be a great game for sure, but maybe not one I grab day one.

@Jack_Goetz Wonder was, pardon the pun, wonderful, my favorite mario platformer, so I'd disagree there.

Been playing since last night on Switch 2. Really enjoying it, though I wish model/texture quality was a bit higher, and I really noticed the lack of voice acting. Still, very fun game so far.

In theory the Japanese one is better, but I hate how some of the faces are drawn on it.

I already have these digital. But having IX physical is tempting.

Thank goodness, I didn't want this coming near the games.
