@TheWokesterGamer It's the same game but the developers rebranded it twice. It was known as Asphalt Legends Unite for a while, but now simply Asphalt Legends.

The annoying thing about the game is that I can't use my mobile account on Switch and I can't be bothered starting over due to the excessive grind. The only F2P games on Switch with cross progression IIRC are MMORPGs and World of Tanks Blitz.

@Not_Soos Most of the announced games are multiplatform and I don't even need a PS5 to play most of them. Besides, most PS5's so-called exclusives come to PC after a year, just like Death Stranding 2.

Still no news of a physical release? The game is over 8 GBs and quite hefty download.

The game also magically shrunk form 5.2 GBs to 1.3 GBs, even the Switch 2 version.

@Pak-Man Ahh the good old days of TF2 trading. I remember selling my Max's Head for $120 and scored quite a few bargains in the Steam sales.

@MirrorFate2 You can always wait for a port of Poker Night 2, starring Ash Williams from Evil Dead, Brock Samson from Venture Bros, Claptrap from Borderlands, and Sam from Sam & Max.

It's a good game, but frankly most people bought the game for the unlockable Team Fortress 2 items.

It's also worth noting the update is significant and adds over 2 GBs to the existing version. I hope to see some significant improvements.

@The_Nintendo_Expat Taito Legends alongside Capcom Classics Collection and Midway Arcade Treasures were amazing collections, especially considering how many games are included. It kinda sucks that many the Taito F3 games are still unavailable on modern consoles.

Anyone know if the original physical, non-F2P version is still playable? Even offline?

@masterLEON It's worth pointing out that Hamster also backported their AA2 emulator to PS4 and Switch 1, and comes with similar features including save slots and rewind, minus the time attack mode. So if a game has a AA2 version, then the AA1 version uses the newer emulator as well.

I wonder if there will be a physical, non game key version for Switch 2 down the line. The upgrade pack is 20 GBs and I really don't have much space left.

I lost interest in Terminator 2D due to the constant delays. Apparently this is due to some ridiculous parity clause so that the digital and physical versions are released on the same day. But what's wrong with releasing the digital version first and use the sales to fund the physical version a few months later? Furthermore it screwed over Steam users because they don't even get a physical version to begin with.

NHL I'd rather play Halo 3 than any modern FPS. I'd love to see a port of Master Chief Collection on Switch 2.

I had to delete the game since it couldn't run on my Switch Lite at all. The save file is bloated to 2GB and it takes several minutes to simply oad.

I'm still waiting for multiplayer for Turok 3. It's bizarre how half of the original game got ripped out, and the campaign is far too short.

Nice. As someone who grew up with the SNES, I always use Y to attack and B to jump, so switching to the NES type controls always messes with my fingers.

I'm waiting patiently for Outfoxies, the Smash Bros before Smash Bros. Mach Breakers, which used the same hardware, is already out on AA.

@CC13 That's Midway right? WB now owns them and they're quite strict with licensing out their old games, although with the Mortal Kombat compilation recently it's looking better.

@Moroboshi876 I know what you mean. I had to buy the Switch physical version of Shredder's Revenge twice because they kept adding DLC.

@SillyG These games are actually consist of false advertising, with AI generated images containing no nudity or sex whatsoever.

@Hank_Scorpio I'm even willing to settle for a remaster, as long as they get rid of the cops that shoot up for running and the ninjas with x-ray vision that can see through your disguise from across the map.

According to the eshop, it's 14 GBs. Better clear up some space or pray for a physical copy down the line.

And Digital Eclipse actually fixed the problems with MK Trilogy on PS1. The loading times are gone and Shang Tsung's morphs no longer slow down the game.

I really feel bad for the developers, they poured their hearts out to create one of the best NES platformers, only for it to flop because the audience thought it's one of the unlicensed Bible games like Super Noah's Ark.

@Aneira Really? Lots of people like Night Striker as a decent alternate to Sega's Super Scaler games, and the Zuntata soundtrack is superb. Only the Sega CD version is kinda bad due to the poor graphics.

SW Republic Commando recently received an update, but seems it's still listed as incompatible.

I need to confirm first whether this release has the entire game on the card. IIRC the original physical version requires a 9 GB update.

@Ganner Sadly I don't recall any of Midway's games appearing on NSO, and WB is doing their best to gatekeep them. IIRC Smash TV last appeared in the Midway collection for the PS3/360.

@JJtheTexan I've played Phantom Fury on PC, and sadly it feels unfinished like other Slipgate Ironworks games including Graven, Kingpin Reloaded, and Wrath. Graven was supposed to have a Switch port but it got quietly cancelled.

@shamok Nah, the console versions didn't even get the latest 2.0 update from October 2021, which added the weapons rebalance and inventory revamp.

@Corvus96 LRG's problematic business practices are well known, from unfulfilled orders, missing collectables, and delays, to PC games being sent out on CD keys, to 3DO games on CD-Rs. The Doom collection in particular has DRM and doesn't even have the latest updates which requires another GB download. And they're not some small indie publisher, but owned by the Embracer conglomerate which also releases many of LRG's supposed exclusives under the THQ brand. So in case of physical releases, I generally import them from Asian countries, and only purchase from LRG as a last resort.

Delaying a digital game over some collector's trinkets only a small minority will buy is one of the most boneheaded decisions I've yet heard.

I assume WB/Traveller's Tales lost the license to the Marvel games?

Shadow Warrior next? It got an updated version back in 2013 but was not ported to any consoles IIRC. Hopefully Nightdive can work something out with Devolver.

@Truegamer79 Human Revolution actually sold and reviewed very well. It's the follow up Mankind Divided that flopped, and that's not helped by its use of microtransactions and the game's story and scope was drastically downsized.

Damn, why couldn't they get Nightdive to port it instead? Aspyr is known to use AI assets to "enhance" graphics from older games and bloat up the game's size to boot. They even used AI to give Lara Croft new lines in the last Tomb Raider collection rather than paying the old voice actress.

@Dimey To be fair, these games are also available individually for less than $10 each on the eshop, so the collections are more aimed at collectors wanting to own physical copies than the average person.

Furthermore the emulation quality of those ROMs are generally considered to be decent to great, and far better than the PS2/PSP compilations we got over a decade ago.

@Switching Did you forget when Piranha Plant was released as a early purchase bonus for SSB Ultimate, and the first Fighter Pass was available for pre-order the same day the game was released?

@Serpenterror There are some Neogeo games on Switch that are available outside of Arcade Archives. That includes Breakers, Rage of the Dragons, Super Dodgeball, SVC Chaos, Windjammers, plus the Visco Collection that contains Andro Dunos, Ganryu, and several others.

@GrailUK Nah, sadly since it was developed by Sammy, now part of Sega, they aren't on board with Arcade Archives.

Worth noting Pop'n Bounce aka Gappolin is exclusive to the compilation, since it was never released separately.
