Capcom UK must be desperate. Too bad they didn't send merch to sites like GoNintendo. Those guys are awesome when it comes to reporting on factual news..
Since when has Glen Joke, been qualified to write opinions on which games he prefers. His guides already show he has barely even plays the Monster Hunters games (he copied info from a previous game entry, that is not 100% accurate to Switch version).
Would would I know. I don't have to earn my living writing tabloid clickbait
Really thinking of playing the 2nd one without having to pay for Switch version. Thanks NL for posting the Twitter link to the game sharing website GOG games article with a link back to free games yesterday.
I see, Glen Joke is allowed to run wild again and spread misinformation. Next he will be calling Monster Hunter a beat em up game? This is him put time and effort into his content?
One argument for fan made games, could be on the basis on 18+ games. Personally Nintendo is failing to meet the needs of Adult gamers. We could have had a violent version 18+ of Luigis Mansion, that aggressively advertises 3D for the HD TV target on 3DS. Instead Nintendo just goes for a straight port.
Oh well, guess they can look forward to SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy
Is it really that hard to say "yes I am not involved or "no I am not involved"? Stop behaving like an overpaid politician or a overweight PR spokesman and give a straight answer.
Miyamoto should have taken the same approach as Mario Tennis Aces, and released a bare bones single player with very little content and levels. It's too difficult to play games that are challenging. Also he should have shown more confidence that it has always online DRM. Nintendo fans have shown they will accept games that require an online connection ,even with single player modes.
Saint Miyamoto, once again trying to justify always online DRM. I suppose if he really wanted to, he would ask everybody to smash up their Nintendo Switch in order to appreciate its hardware value, even worse everybody would comply, only because it is Miyamoto.
Ironic, how Saint Miyamoto is preaching for the industry to deliver fixed price games, yet is holding a smartphone with Super Mario Run installed; a game that is clogged with always online DRM.
His "wise" words do indeed have an effect on the weak minded.
After receiving several scuffed parcels and even one smashed up package via Amazon, I wouldn't even buy games from them if they were 50% off. The Pre-Order discount cancellation is nothing to lose sleep over, unless you enjoy receiving your games and Blu Ray/DVDS in poor condition.
Not really news, as was obvious for a while now, except for the 200 KB of load though? There is a good reason Switch won't be getting music or themes any time soon. Adding stuff like that would just slow it down. I'll happily take a minimum OS, over bloatware any day of the week.
Pokemon Go: The real intention isn't F2P, but in fact to spy on Android users. I am surprised nobody figured this out sooner or later. By allowing uprooted access, it even hopes to compete with social media and our time, by hiding Pokemon to catch.
Tempted to grab Dark Souls on Switch, as never played the series before. However, I get the impression Bamco is trying to sabotage sales, with their poor PR lately. Who decided to announce a discount trilogy on other consoles? A bold overweight family member thats who.
This will be the last push to get adult own 3DS owners to see the advantages of 3D and to also encourage people to upgrade their 4K TVs to 3D. Hopefully if this does well, we may even see an adult Luigi's Mansion game rated 16+?
Atari was once a decent company. Now its just run by fat smelly old men, who put profits before actual development. Just so they can live in their horrible oversized mansions.
@Moroboshi876 From what I understand, their emulation accuracy of games leaves a lot to be desired. Most of their games are just slapdash, so they just about run, albeit with glitches and/or not faithful to original. Their Steam games are a good example of this.
Is this a joke? Back in 2015, the European version of Club Nintendo was awesome. Nowadays MyNintendo just aims to patronise its loyal fan base.
If Nintendo wants people to use MyNintendo, it needs to do something about those poor rewards. Not sitting at work all day day dreaming, content whilst scoffing pizza from Pizza Express and hiring overpaid fat people, who don't have a clue about gaming.
Might get Metal Slug 4 later down the line. Even if one of worst in series. Thought RBFF 2 was latest this week to arrive? I guess will be coming out next week?
Tempting. Though this is actually the first Pokemon game, I am not getting excited for in a number of years. @Cobalt , and there was me thinking something was wrong with me for not being interested in the Let's Go games. A wiff of Pokemon Go mechanics, just kills it for me.
Magnificent. It's great to see the standards of 30fps being adapted here as opposed to 60fps, which just sounds slow and glitchy. 30fps also sounds like it meets the ISO specification better.
Re: Prehistoric Isle 2 is a pretty solid game. It's 7 in my book. The game suffers from lack of variety in bosses, and level design loses its momentum after 3 or 4 levels.
@Heavyarms55 By that logic, the Wii U should have been called Wii-NES-U, as that had nearly 90 NES VC games on it. Neo Geo on Switch barely has 85 atm. Don't worry that evil Hamster company will stop releasing Neo Geo games near Jan/Feb next year. Though who else can be the scapegoat for the lack of NES/SNES games on Switch, lol.
@JLPick From what I have seen, most of the hate didn't come from how long this game took to release. Whilst I haven't played it, it does look very ugly and washed out and doesn't seem nice to play. Shantae 1/2 Half Genie took longer to arrive, but wasn't panned on arrival. That one was a great game.
There are several games on this list I wouldn't rate so high or low
Metroid Prime Hunters isn't what I call "solid game material". Take online multi player out of it, and you have a dreadful single player mode, that recycles generic bosses and a poor ending. Level design was pretty naff as well. The bounty hunter stuff characters were a total waste of opportunity, and just there to hunt Samus down. Nothing compelling about them.
Metroid Fusion does quite a bit different to the series. I would even say it was more creepy and tense than Super Metroid, thanks to the X Parasite storyline. I would swap that with MP3.
Metroid Prime 3 did add motion controls and also an interesting storyline line of Samus and allies becoming corrupted by Phazon, but is easily worst in series and felt out of place in MP series. Not excellent but a solid entry.
Metroid Zero Mission. Great remake, too damn short to put so high on list, even by Metroid standards.
I'd feel bad if I backed the base game let alone the actual handheld version . I remember Shantae was a project around same time, yet that turned out to be a very nice game.
I see brand new copies of the Wii U version for just £5. Worth the plunge?
It's a subliminal message. If you look VERY carefully at the data dump, you will see those functions are meant to brainwash people into buying Nintendo Labo.
This sounds nice for Switch owners. However I am deeply concerned that ROM sites that are offering those games out of the kindness of their hearts for free download will be forced to pull the games in fear of being shut down. Worthy newspiece, so such sites get a voice?
It is very selfish that companies like SNK are trying to profit from their IPs.
It's a scam. The 99.5% of the human population don't need a power bank. Portable chargers are only meant for those who are hardcore hikers and mountain climbers.
@HappyRusevDay - You forgot to mention they also remove comments when there is incorrect information by authors. I remember, when one of staff back in vc-reviews days removed a user pointed out that had corrections for a SNES being released in Europe.
loved vc-forums.com though. Was run by people who actually cared about gaming.
I guess this is a litmus test to see how well a mediocre low budget Mario game sells through expensive advertising as opposed to developing fully fledged game that got proper development time?

Re: Video: How to Get Started in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate
Got Monster Hunter 4 on my 3DS. Cool game, but couldn't properly get into it. I guess I may have rushed it slightly. Can't remember what put me off.
I am not going to watch the video.

Meh, i'll stick to the VHS version. Will be waiting till the definite 4K remaster, which us fans have been crying out for a long time now.
Re: Switch eShop Sales For Blossom Tales Are Twenty Times Higher Than Steam Sales
So it sold 20 more copies than the Steam version? Safe to assume that as there is no sales data, which means the game sold that badly.
