Continuing the never-ending avalanche of Switch news coming from Gamescom 2018, Microids has released a teaser trailer for an upcoming comic book adaptation on the console.

The game in question is Blacksad: Under the Skin, a new title based on the film noir comic series 'Blacksad'. Players will get the chance to discover the 1950s New York ambience presented in the original material, joining detective John Blacksad in conducting an all-new investigation.

Aside from the trailer above, details surrounding the game are still rather few and far between. We do have an official synopsis to share with you, however, which details Blacksad's dark corruption scandal:

The early 50s: Joe Dunn, owner of a boxing club, is found dead. Meanwhile, rising star Robert Yale, due to take to the ring for the most important fight of his career, has mysteriously disappeared. Sonia Dunn, Joe’s daughter, takes over the club and must deal with its financial woes. She hires private detective John Blacksad to investigate Yale’s disappearance and to find the missing man. This sinister case will take our investigator to the darkest, most dismal depths of New York.

At present, the game is scheduled to release at some point in 2019. We expect to hear more details on this one in the coming months.

Until then, why not share your early impressions from the game's first trailer in the comments below. Do you like the aesthetic? Are you intrigued by the plot?
