@Res462 They definitely succeeded on that aspect. It would be nice to see a story but the best stories Mario has received were either the DS Mario and Luigi games or the first three paper Mario games.
@Tempestryke Yup. Sonic has been more "anime like" since Sonic 2 (Genesis) when they added the small cutscene of Tails watching the Death Egg explode and then racing up to see if Sonic was alive. I remember thinking as a kid, "What a dramatic ending for a platform game."
@Res462 I never understood the complaint about "overstuffed" in a Mario movie. Especially since the story is practically the same in every game. I say, "Keep it coming."
@ILIKECARGAME Totally agree. YuGiOh's collection included GB, GBC, and GBA games. They could have easily done that. Fans wouldn't even mind if they were split (Red, Fire Red, Ruby, Gold) and (Blue, Leaf Green, Sapphire, Silver). Not sure what they could have done with Yellow, Emerald, Crystal.
@molkom Nah, it is better like this so you don't have to pay every year to interact with your team again.
No big difference. Fire Red has more instances of some Pokemon coming out of the grass and some exclusives. Vice Versa Leaf Green. You need both to complete the Pokedex.
The main draw is that this is simply battle to be the best, beat Team Rocket, be the champion, and catch the legendary Pokemon. Best of all, this is probably the only and final time where your rival actually feels like a rival with a prideful attitude but can match you. Blue (Gary) was always the best rival.
Some dinosaur? You mean the dinosaur that is willing to be sacrificed while I get an extra boost in jumping power while he plummets to his demise? What have you done TOAD???
@somnambulance I don't know. Pretty good to have all of them together and the ability to rewind. However, this is not the collection I am hoping for. Where are Tiny Toons or the Batman Animated Series Games? Where are the Power Ranger Games?
@Drago201 That's because Nintendo has taken care of its IPs like Disney properties. They keep giving them new life in some form or another. Sony and Microsoft kind of forget their IPs that show potential (I.E. Jak and Daxter, Sly, and Ratchet). With Halo going multiplatform it is only a matter of time until Master Chief gets the letter (SSB letter!).
@Zufolobelisk on the contrary. I love how it keeps coming back as a die hard. Similar to Teen Titans Go. I feel he is the Skrull of the videogame universe and will embed himself in other franchises. Just puuurfect.
I feel the selling point for this is the art. Gameplay.....not so much. YuGiOh games got better as they went along when the rules got incorporated.
We should have a YuGioH RPG where you summon monsters. Just make it look cool and summon a few monsters with playable characters from the original show. That would be awesome.
@Greatluigi Yes. I am hoping they making a Pokemon Early collection like they are doing with YuGioh. I can't imagine putting money on a game to build a team up and then having my subscription go out.
@mlt They both have something that makes them different, and I like that. I think Streets of Rage 4 is a better experience than what Double Dragon has been giving out lately.
@Sonicka I am hoping for a collection like the MegaMan Battle Network where you can trade Pokemon within games. Also, some QOL features would be nice (i.e. speed up).
@shonenjump86 Sonic Heroes was a continuation of the Adventure series. It is one of my favorite Sonic games. However, due to the rushed development time and small team, it definitely has some funky glitches. Hopefully they polish it up to what it truly should play like. As for the Adventure series, I am hoping of a remake that also fixes issues. All three are wonderful Sonic games with potential.
@axelhander This is what I like about frontiers. It made bosses be beat with more than just 3 hits in the head. We need more beatem up elements in platformers. I think Kirby does it well enough.
@Crono1973 Yes, being able to resell it is always cool. But when the servers for updating the game shuts down, you won't have a complete game (i.e. Smash Bros. for the Wii U). I can resell the game but for anyone new that wants that version will never get all the DLC. Or what about bug glitches like the Wii version of Skyword Sword? I feel us physical buyers are getting a bit of the short stick with the digital age.
@XCWarrior I love getting physical if possible, but I have been finding the sales for digital can be pretty good. I would like to experience the game without it having it to be high in price (i.e. any old Pokemon game). However, does physical mean anything anymore when updates, patches, and DLC are a thing?
Hopefully they make this shine so that they can try again at a Kart Racer. The third one had potential, but what is the use if a lot of your content is locked behind online play when online is pretty much dead.
We know there is a second system since it was reported Ubisoft was asked (by Nintendo) to hold off on Sparks of Hope until the newer system comes in. If Nintendo is telling a developer to hold off then an announcement of a new system should be soon. Holiday of 2024 sounds about right.
Please make it backward compatiable. It would be nice to reuse those remotes as well.
I am disappointed that this article did not start off with, "Good news everyone." I am so disappointed that I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

Re: Gallery: Here's A Look At Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen On Switch
@BulkSlash I don't know. I'd rather build a team and always have access to the team instead of paying for them every year.
Re: PSA: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Switch Preloads Are Now Live
@Lizuka I agree. This is pretty good. It would have been nice to have the Hoenn games though.

@GameOtaku Looks like only for Switch 2.
BOOOOOOO!
Re: Hamster's 'Console Archives' Is The Closest We'll Get To Virtual Console In 2026
@AlexanderDaniels I am not sure. Those high graphics might be too much for the Switch.
(I had the same comment. I guess they are trying to force the retro lovers to buy a Switch 2).
Re: Nickelodeon Splat Pack Revives Multiple SNES Titles In One Retro Collection
@Lanmanna No. Separately. So a Tiny Toons Collection. A Batman Animated Series collection. And so on.

Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga games are the best RPG mechanics hands down. You are active even during the boss's turn

@GeneJacket A shame. I wonder if Konami will try to continue the Metal Gear legacy properly other than just remakes?
Here is my dream game though: Metal Gear x Arkham Series
