Re: Video: Nintendo Kindly Reminds Us That amiibo Exist With This Timely Festive Commercial

@Viagro Yes, if they released a slew of small scale games that were wonderful to play, then yes I'd be over the moon. Dillon's Rolling Western for example was a wonderful game that I really enjoyed. Xenoblade X is being polished and will impress of course, it's just everything else, literally everything else they are offering this holiday season that is embarrassing. And that's the point as one potentially amazing game in a sea of rushed uninspired games doesn't seem like the Nintendo we knew and could brag about. But now seriously, let's petition a new Dillion's rolling Western for the Wii U!!!

@LaVelle I think you nailed it. Mario Tennis and AC Amiibo Festival are clear examples that Nintendo are abandoning their mission of delivering nothing but the very best in Video game experiences in favour of churning out thin games at full price to push Amiibo. Remember when the fans here could say "well the Wii U didn't get that 3rd party game but whatever, it looks rushed and empty of love, we'll stick with Nintendo which takes their time and delivers nothing but the best" We can't even say that anymore.

Amiibos are becoming easier to get as many stores in my area seem to carry many different ones now and there aren't moving at all. I feel (and it has been stated like a million times by others) that Nintendo screwed this one up big time. The first batch sold like hotcakes so Nintendo decides to do nothing and leave us hungry. Makes sense? So finally after like A YEAR! They start to do a good re-stock which is fine...BUT where is the killer game that would utilize these figures in a unique way that makes others say "damn I need to get with this!" Well that ain't coming folks. So, people have stressed and tried to collect items that will go down in memory alongside the beanie baby and for what?

This is a great...GREAT game for introducing your kids to video games. My son is 6 and a huge snoopy fan. When we play, I play as woodstock so I can assist him by showinbg him where to go by flying to certain parts and also knocking out enemies if he gets overwhelmed. Seriously great fun for that exact purpose.

Re: Timing Of NX Launch Could Help Nintendo Grab Some Of Sony And Microsoft's Market Share, Says Analyst

After seeing how well the Wii U was supported in all avenues by Nintendo, I cannot see a justifiable reason to support the NX. I will cautiously wait and see what happens but my money will probably go to another console or Steam Box as that would have lots of current hits and also a huge selection of classics (many of them old Nintendo classics for some strange reason)

Re: SNES Title Super Star Wars Coming to PS4 and Vita

@ikki5 I remember renting it as a kid and I just couldn't beat that boss to save my life. I would grind till the wee hours, eventually opting for the weapons code (thank you Nintendo Power) that boss needs Chewie and the Plasma Gun or it's over. I was able to beat the rest of the game without any extra help eventually and when you finally blow up the death star, well there were tears running down my eyes. So epic.

personally I loved this game so much although I suck at first person games and never did get very far. It's so scary, it's great. My only complaint was that it was a bit too dark consistently. I'm fine with dark parts, they add to the realism of the game's situation, but damn it was always just so dark that I could barely see what was happening at times. If I can play "king of the Zombies" online, I'd be one happy camper.

Re: Rumour: More Evidence Mounts of Twilight Princess HD

@MrPuzzlez agreed, I was so pumped for skyward sword but the fetch quests killed the game. i couldn't even be bothered to finish it. I'll be perfectly honest so please don't shoot the messenger but I haven't loved a console Zelda game since the N64. I liked windwaker and I liked twilight but they weren't magical.

Re: Rumour: More Evidence Mounts of Twilight Princess HD

Mrclaycoat

@shani Windwaker cost full price and this is the company that feels justified charging $4.99 for Urban Champion so over charging for nostalgia is their bread and butter. Also your comments about Halo and Uncharted are opinionated which is fine BUT the point is the fact that Sony is giving their customers 3 very popular games in one collection with beta for the new game for the price of one game. Servicing their fans big time. Microsoft is giving their fans 4 very popular games that like it or not are hugely popular and have had a massive impact on gaming in general for the price of one game, again servicing their fans big time. In fact Microsoft is offering their customers more N64 games plus 20 or so more classic games (many from nintendo consoles of the past) on one disc for $29.99 again a massive service to their fans. nintendo gives us a rumour of one remake that given their history of charging full price on nostalgia will in fact be at the very least $49.99 if not more.

Re: Rumour: More Evidence Mounts of Twilight Princess HD

Xbox gets the Halo Master Chief collection (multiple high end games in glorious HD) Playstaion 4 gets the Uncharted Nathan Drake collection (multiple high end games in glorious HD) both of these collections will sell for the same price as one retail game. Nintendo might...MIGHT make an HD remake of Twilight Princess and will sell at full price by itself...um yeeeeeeah

Re: PS4 and Sony Enjoy Dominant Week in Japan With Price Cut and New Releases

Mrclaycoat

I don't see why people are arguing against a price cut? Are you shareholders? Systems sold at a lower price still make more money than systems sitting in a warehouse and hopefully those extra systems sold will lead to more people that are happy with Nintendo, playing Nintendo products and more games being sold and who knows maybe just maybe Nintendo can help salvage it's Brand just a tiny bit going into their next generation. It really worked for Sony and the PS3.

Re: This Is The Last Real Console Cycle, Proclaims Industry Analyst Michael Pachter

I've been saying for years that consoles are on their way out. I duuno, seems to make sense to me. the integration of Windows and Xbox, the Steam box rolling out and who knows what Sony can do to integrate their games with any of their other industries. Nintendo will do what they want because they are in the same boat as Citizen Kane and can keep making their own waves in the ocean while they can afford it.
