Re: Review: Crab Cakes Rescue (Wii U eShop)

These crappy little games need to realize that "The Letter's" popularity was an anomaly of sorts and was also at $0.50 for a while. It was a fun joke that we all laughed at, like going to a theater screening of "The Room". But now we have tons of these garbage games filling up the E shop which is sad.

@dumedum for me it depends on the game and of course to each their own. Many NES games are truly timeless and untouchable since my childhood but most of them aren't available currently. True some gems are there are also garbage games like Vollyball and Urban Champion which at $4.99 is insane in my humble opinion.

I've bought a couple NES games on the VC but for the most part $4.99 is way to expensive. PS1 games are only $5.99 for the most part on the playstation store with PS2 games at $9.99, now that's a fair price. If Nintendo lowered their prices, more people would buy these games and more people would be happy with the VC, everyone would win.

Sidebar, excite bike world rally is sweet! I played it online all the time!

Child of Light is amazing, one of my all time favourites for Wii U! I highly recommend it for that price. But I have a question, for $7.50 is Marvel Avengers worth it? I've heard it's pretty bad but I've only played the 360 version with Kinect which I hated, but maybe with the pad it would fare batter?

Re: Talking Point: E3 Highlighted Nintendo's Development Shift Towards NX, and Away from Wii U

This will sadly be my last Nintendo system as I've been burned pretty bad by the Wii U. I was a day one buyer, floating high on all the promises that were squandered. The difference between Nintendo and the other two big boys is that Sony and MS have both sucked it up to ensure their fan's support and to save their brand. Song took a HUGE cut on the PS3 and poured money into new games when the system didn't take off and this E3 we saw MS listening to their fans and winning back some hearts and minds. Nintendo has done neither and are now scaling back production on a 2 1/2 year old system. This lack of support is very telling on how they value it's loyal core audience which are really the only people who bought this system. So I'll take the not so subtle hint that I'm not important enough to please (and I'm not asking for much, just some support with games) along with all the failure to do anything decent with all the proposed features that made the system so unique and move on.

Re: Nintendo Gets Tough With Miiverse Bans, and Some Users Aren't Exactly Pleased

Reason # 7352 why Nintendo hates success. I'm all for the Miiverse being a safe and happy place, free of vile hatred. In fact that's one of the things I love most about their community as opposed to Sony and Microsoft. But it's HOW they go about it that sucks. They are that parent that despite all their good intentions, just doesn't get it and never will, and the children suffer oh my how they suffer. Won't someone please think of the children!!!

Nintendo can do what it wants with their franchises that is true, just like George Lucas could add as many aliens as he wanted with his Star Wars movies. Fanboys still ate it up at the box office and similar types will eat this game up too. In fact the game might actually be a lot of fun sure. Problem is, George Lucas became irrelevant as he ignorance for what his fans wanted went to far and Nintendo just accomplished this as well. They've been testing the patience of Wii U owners since day one, and sooner or later fans will leave. And die Hard fans are a stubborn bunch, once they leave, they don't come back. And that's the real problem for me. Not just this one game, but the presentation as a whole cannot be compared to any other event at E3 this year what they represented didn't evoke any significant positive reaction. MICROSOFT- We have tons of exclusives, third party games and the Hallowlens! SONY-We have tons of great exclusives, third party support and yes we listened to our fans, FF7 remake in full HD! NINTENDO- We have Mario Tennis and an Animal Crossing Board Game and an empty release calendar for 2016!
