Re: RCMADIAX Confirms Two Wii U eShop Releases This Week

@Quorthon I totally empathize with your concern. I do agree that the once championed E Shop is quickly being degraded but Nintendo needs to step in and clean this up. The fact that we have games like Shovel Knight are being drowned under way too much garbage. It's the Wii curse all over again, where the system produced some real gems but they were buried under a mountain of garbage. Maybe the E shop needs a separate category for budget titles so they stay off the main page. It does appear that the EShop has lost a lot of steam and with Dan Adelman gone they need to keep things at full throttle. My biggest concern with the Eshop is why they don't go after failed but amazing kickstarter projects like Shadow of the Eternals or Taxi Journey.

I consider these to be like IOS games and since the Wii U has a tablet that can operate without a TV, I feel like these games can have a home here. Since the prices are also low, I feel like the hate is a bit unjust. Now Tested with Robots on the other hand is a simple and poorly made game selling at a premium price, so that does deserve hate as it clutters our Eshop with overpriced shovelware.

Re: Preview: Picking Up The Pace With Proun+ on 3DS

This is one of the rare times when I think a game will be better on IOS as opposed to the 3DS. I do find it odd that there aren't more amazing indie games available on the 3DS. Although having said that, I still cannot wait for Gunman Clive 2!!!

Re: Soapbox: Fan Expo 2014 - A Nintendo Fan's Experience

Mrclaycoat

This was the first fan expo I missed but I can tell you that Nintendo really screws this one up. The year the 3DS launched, both Sony and Microsoft had big spaces and Nintendo had a trailer (literally a hitch trailer) with 6 or so 3DS inside, 4 playing the new Star Fox 64 3D and one for Zelda and one for Pilotwings. I had my 3DS with me and they seemed surprised! "OH you have one???" The summer of 2012 had me really pumped for the Wii U and they were no where to be found!!! Ubisoft had one system available on a tiny wall for Zombi U, but sadly they had no plan of player usage so I stood for over 30 minutes in a line of 30 or so all watching the same guy play on and on and on. I left. Just as I was leaving, I noticed a Wii U behind the big WB banner for Batman Arkham City. It was empty as no one knew it was there. Last year they had no presence again. Not sure why they seem so intent on missing this boat.

SIDEBAR- Although Fan Expo is getting a bit lame in my opinion as it continues to get more and more expensive and exploited in my opinion, if you have a 3DS, BRING IT! You'll have a non-stop flow of new visitors to your system and will complete all your puzzle pieces in no time

Re: Catch Up on All the Bayonetta 2 Direct Videos Right Here

Mrclaycoat

I'm going to get this for sure but that Direct was terrible!!! It had the creepiest perv vibe at moments and the dubbing was just painful. Whomever approved that video should be fired as it almost made me want to wait to get this game. Release the Reggie! The man is a hype machine and that's exactly what the Wii U needs. This game must be a hit for the system!

Totally loving this game. Bought it along with Scram kitty and this is by far the better of the two games. The trailer make sit look a bit harder than it actually is, I highly recommend this one!

Re: Review: Mega Man 6 (Wii U eShop / NES)

What's odd about this score is that I remember (if memory serves me correctly) that Nintendo power themselves didn't think too highly of the game upon arrival. Funny how it's 15 years later or so and now the score has improved.

Re: Feature: Where Are The Super Nintendo 3D Classics?

Mrclaycoat

They stopped the NES 3D classics after just a few and the virutal console on the 3DS is just sad. To quote Field of Dreams " if you program them, you will make tons of money" but sadly the Kevin Costner of Nintendo decided not to build a baseball diamond, instead he just kept growing corn.

Re: Cross-Buy is Now a Thing on Nintendo Platforms

Nintendo needs to make the jump and have this started with the virtual console. I haven't purchased a VC game in a long time and don't plan on it until Nintendo get's their act together. The day cross buy exists on the VC, I'll start making it rain.
