Re: Gearbox CEO Doesn't See Borderlands 3 Coming To Nintendo Switch

At least Nntendo is consistent everyone. They talk big about the importance of third party support and then do all they can to mess it up. Keep up the good work Nintendo! Everyone trash talked the Wii U's launch line-up back in the day but boy doesn't it look amazing when compared to the whopping 4 games the switch will have at launch! Looks like they'll be SWITCHing to being a software only company much sooner than I thought.

@onex oh don't get me wrong this game looks amazing, I am so pumped for this. I feel like this game will exceed all my hopes and make me feel like a kid again. but if I am to play devil's advocate now, it certainly helps the excitement surrounding it's mysteries going into E3 when it is the only Nintendo game being released in 2017 for Wii U (that we know of but it's already almost July so...). That fact alone helps immensely. If Wii U had 20 jaw dropping titles coming out for 2017 then the talk and attention over this game would be more spread out. Keeping in mind that this was one of my top favourites from this year, seriously it blew me away.

This new Zelda looks wonderful but it's not really gair to compare this games online presence compared to the othwr systems. Remember the PS4 and XBOX both had dozens of announcments all clamouring for attention. Wii u had one, one game, no competition. Although I am super excited for Breath of the Wild I can't accept this comparrison as it is not a fair analysis given the multitude of variables ignored. Buying this day 1!

Re: Editorial: Nintendo Did A Solid Job at E3 2016, But That Didn't Ease Long-Term Concerns

I'm shocked Nintendo even showed up to be honest. Having the playable demo space looked amazing but those treehouse videos were PAINFUL! The games they did cover were overexposed by the end. In my mind I'm wondering why they wouldn't just realease all their new trailers strategically online at specific times to keep the interest on Nintendo more spread out ans consistent. Plus you could really stick it to your opponents if say at the same time as the EA confrence you launched your Zelda trailer. To me that's genius. Nintendo is desperate and having so little to offer for the next 12 months on an already very sparse 12 months reminds me of Sega's autumn years on the Saturn. Plus if by the time the NX xomes out with it's "xbox one power" they'll still be inderpowered by the new xbox and ps4 models. Please stop with the hardware Nintendo, you've lost and now look desperate and sad. Refocus on just making those magical timeless games you were once known for.

I still can't believe Nintendo didn't just jump in and scoop this game? Once the Kickstarter failed it should have been a no brainer. Some early work was already done and the first game was a cult hit for the GC plus the Wii U was and is and always will be hurting for good content. The Kickstarter wanted like a quarter million if I remember correctly? That's peanuts for the big N

I've gotten quite sick of the Lego churning out the same game every few moths with a different sheen on it, but this one looks like it'll have some variety. The fact that the only star wars game you can play on Wii U currently is Pinball is so depressing, that I may have to get this for that fact alone. It's so weird that I have to turn on my PS3 to play super star wars...

@Action51 lol buhwha? I wouldn't call this the reason, but it is yet another form of bad news for Wii U owners, but another person showed me that this end date was always stated (although a bit hidden). No my decision on stopping support for Nintendo isn't in stone yet but after the embarrassing E3 showcase this year, the NX will have to literally blow my socks off. Now I tend not to wear tubes socks so that does make it a bit easier but still...

Re: Wii Street U Service Being Discontinued In March, Leaving eShop This Month

@Marlowe1877 well ai don't think anyone can argue that point. I have never had a Nintendo system die on me yet. They make those things to last! Especially GameCube discs, man I've seen some so badly scratched there's no reflection on them at all and they still work just fine. I hope this stays true for the Wii U because that gamepad looks like it may not have that signature Nintendo shelf life.

Re: Wii Street U Service Being Discontinued In March, Leaving eShop This Month

@heathenmagic Exactly! This is why I'm very hesitant to buy into the NX. Not because of this act in and of itself, but the message moves like this and the cancelling of TVii tell it's customers. I adore my Wii U but if you look at the initial Wii U advert video (at E3 in 2011 or was it 2012) so many of the promised features never came to be and some others, like the previously mentioned gets cancelled without any effort to really utilize the apps.

Re: Wii Street U Service Being Discontinued In March, Leaving eShop This Month

@faint Can't say whether it's Nintendo's fault or not (as I stated previously) but it does hurt the perception of accountability with Nintendo's digital services. The obvious example being the outdated account service that STILL exists today. If my Wii U dies, the struggles I'd go through just to retrieve these games would be most difficult and unique to Nintendo's customers and not Sony or Microsoft's. I'm not sure about Game Spy but will look into it.

side note, I really enjoy your passion buddy. Good dialogue is hard to find sometimes.

Re: Wii Street U Service Being Discontinued In March, Leaving eShop This Month

@faint my point lies in my initial post to you, pretty clear dude. Also you said you "think" so you do not "know" so we're all in the dark. The only "fact" is that people who paid for this service are having it taken away from them. A service that was never really supported once released and that, whether Nintendo or Google's doing, hurts a Nintendo consumer on a platform riddled with big promises and poor support, a consistent theme surrounding Nintendo and the Wii U

Re: Wii Street U Service Being Discontinued In March, Leaving eShop This Month

I liked the service and used it a fair bit at first but sadly I haven't since. this is probably due to the fact the NO NEW LOCATIONS WERE ADDED! JFK space station was super awesome and using the miiverse sharing was a brilliant idea that sadly not many people used. Walking around places like the great wall of china or time square New York using your wii u fit board was kinda fantastic too. Just like the Panoramic videos, these are amazing ideas that were dropped the second they were launched. Very sad
