I'm just sad that they look to be dropping main support for the Wii u so fast. Reminds me of the old Sega days when they started losing their fan base's confidence. If you liked Nintendo's E3, good on you, but really there's nothing much to defend here since they didn't really do much of anything anyways (aside from the obvious Metroid Franchise Tarnish) I'm more shocked that they even bothered to make a video.
@Cyberbotv2 exactly! Whether the wii u is a success or not is now irrelevant. Nintendo needed to keep supporting it so they do not tarnish their brand but that's just what they did. The PS3 had a terrible launch but they addressed the backlash and sucked it up and saved their brand and turned it around. Nintendo has burned their die hard fans time and time again.
Why even bother Nintendo, why even bother. Having no major secret games unveiled kind of solidified Nintendo's lapse into being irrelevant. At least for consoles, as the 3DS still looks to have a healthy amount of games coming. As a Wii U owner, I feel very let down and their inability to salvage this situation has tarnished their brand big time. There are a million things they could have done to fill this massive continuous void of games. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, I gave them patience, but this is my last Nintendo Console sadly. I'm going for the Steam Box I think, unless NX blows me out of the water. Going back to the unveiling video of the Wii U, several features still haven't been implemented which is sad. I love Nintendo, but damn am I disappointed.
This looks promising but I'll wait to see what U Craft produces before I take the plunge. I have more than enough to play currently and have never played Minecraft so I can wait for a while.
I'm pretty bummed out about this. The videos were getting recycled a lot so I guess this comes as no surprise but I did love cracking it open during lunch and finding a new episode dinosaur office once in a blue moon. My favourite video was "Bear Force One" it was pretty hilarious
I'm intrigued but am totally clueless as to what the heck was even going on. That all seemed very confusing, not even sure what the point of the game is. Is it to collect or escape?
I pre-ordered pac-man which was my first amiibo and probably my last. This is being handled so poorly that it's taking all of the fun out of it. What bugs me the most is that stores are selling these for more money now as well. The EB by my house were selling the new wave for $15.99 for some reason. So are even the stores gouging the customers? Again so many small problems leading to my perspective that Amiibos are not fun anymore and I have no time for the drama.
@MrWalkieTalkie that's the one! Thanks. I've never played Minecraft but really want to sink my teeth into it or something similar. Gonna wait to see what this and U craft look like before settling on Minecraft for I Pad since the Wii U is my only current console
"Don't crash" looks like it could be super fun. A cross of Off Road/Super Sprint and Road Hunter. Good thing too since I love all three of those games. And Super Robo Mouse looks very promising as well. I'm glad to hear that RCMADIAX is staying with Wii U
I seem to remember Slightly Mad stating that they would showcase the true graphical power of the Wii U with this game and how they were going to blow minds and blah blah blah and now they're saying we never actually promised you this game. Sounding more like a politician every time they speak.
I'm going to say Pikmin 3, since there wasn't a single moment I wasn't fully in love with the experience. Child of Light would be a close second. Let's hope the trolls stay away and we don't find "the Letter" winning top spot!
The turbo duo, TG 16's successor was my favourite system of that era. So many incredible games that only I knew about. Beyond Shadowgate, a sequel to the NES game was by far my favourite.
The SNES is in my opinion the best system they've ever put out, it makes no sense not to draw from the hundreds of classic titles laying there waiting to be played again. I would love to see them put out titles like Shadowrun or Secret of Mana
I love this! Reminds me of when the Sega Saturn was filled with great 2.5D games like Clockwork Knight and such and with some polish I think Sonic would fit in very well in a 2.5D world. I'd buy it
The E shop sizzle reel looked great, attack on Titan looked great and I'm going to be a day one buyer for Fatal Frame. This was a good appetizer for E3, but E3 better have a huge reveal, otherwise the Zelda Delay may have been the final blow for the Wii U making it impossible to impact the market share
Very sad to hear this. I was hoping to see him grow and grow on the e shop. I bought twisted fusion/block drop x and liked it very much. I think spiky walls was big mistake on a nintendo platform and really tainted his name.
Agreed, I really wanted this to be a fun game since I love the NES and SNES versions of off road as well as Atari"s Super Sprint. Oh well, at least we have some new DLC for Mario Kart 8 coming soon
I totally agree as many people I know and there fore must think that a significant portion of people will skim the review and look at the score. Leaving the score out kind of coaxes one to actually read the review and decipher if the game is worthwhile for them. Plus sometimes a score number can work against you when compared to another games score.
@sketchturner Totally agree, for me it's gotta be Dr. Pepper and Captain Crunch. This could be a lot of fun though, I'm keeping it on my radar for sure.
I've always wanted to play the DLC for AC3. I've heard it starts painfully slow but the last chapter is pretty awesome. Now the DLC is more expensive then the game itself.
Breath of Fire gets 5/10 and Baseball (NES) for the virtual Console gets 6/10. Normally I agree with your reviews 100% but these are the two that befuddle me.
@Jahir It's one of the few games I'd really like to have off TV though sadly. I'm totally cool with playing most of my classics on Wii mode but the punch out series is something I'd rather play off TV while watching TV...cuz I like to party.
Check out AVGN's review of this game, he nails it perfectly. It'd a damn hard game with unlimited lives and it keeps you hooked against your will. You'll keep playing and playing, finally beating a stage only to find the next one to be 10 times harder. I owned it as a kid because of SF2 and was hugely disappointed at first but I had to keep playing and playing and playing. I couldn't let Ken down.
@Vineleaf Good point. I just grabbed Hyrule Warriors a while back and decided to jump in with both feet and grab all the DLC so I really wanted that damn link to make this complete haha
I had finally decided to buy Link shortly after Christmas and it's damn near impossible (in Canada anyways) to find without paying a premium price online. I've heard that some of the characters were intended to be in limited stock but is this true of all the models? I'd find it odd if they don't make any more Links for example.
Funny, I really hated this game on the SNES back in the day. I also owned a Turbo Duo so I'm sure that played some big part in that since the Duo was the shooter king. I remember wanting to love Axelay and playing it over and over but rarely beating the first level and not ever caring. I think I'll pick it up again when it's up for NA since I still think about this one and why I could never get into it.
