Cult indie horror release Slender: The Arrival creeps onto the Wii U eShop in North America this week, and to mark the occasion the Nintendo edition is getting its very own trailer, packed with jump-scares and spooky scenes.
The sequel to Slender: The Eight Pages, The Arrival originally launched on PC in 2013 and received positive reviews at launch. It was ported to the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2014, and to the PS4 and Xbox One in March of this year.
It's out today on the Wii U - will you be downloading it?

i wish they would add multiplayer similar to luigis ghost mansion where the gamepad user plays as slenderman trying to find the other players...but im just wishing..
Gotta say this look pretty darn good......could well splash the cash!!
I played it on Steam, and I REALLY enjoyed it. I'll definitely give it a download when I get home to support the developers' porting it to the underappreciated Wii U.
Not a fan of dark games in general but this does Look interesting. Will wait for some reviews and weigh that against the price to see if it's for me.
Finally some good horror games rolling out recently. Year Walk, this one, Fatal frame and more!
Looks interesting. Does anybody know if this can be enjoyed fully without having played the original? Thanks.
The letter meets the Blair witch project lol! I will give it a try!
I'm sorry, but anything created on Something Awful just isn't scary.
I will defo give this ago looks cool and fun plus can't get enough horror over the month of October lol.
@GravyThief No original required!
@Peterocity That sounds like a lot of fun! I'd buy the game on Wii U just for that mode to be honest.
Watch the trailer, and you can spare yourself the game - all "highlights" are already in there.
Still sloppy, still boring, still a ripoff. Though the positive reviews are easily the scariest part of the entire game.
Not a good place to go. World would be a better place without this. That said; I'm 77 years old and know!!
Is Slenderman related to Agent 47?
I actually played this game when it was still v0.9.7 on my Mac. While the remake of the 'Eight Pages' level is decent, it's the underground mine that scared the crap out of me. Large open spaces in the dark, and there's this 'kid' wearing a mask and a hoodie chasing after you. It may not sound very scary compared to Slendy, but trust me. Seeing this kid running towards you in a very long stretch hallway was enough to make me fee uncomfortable with the idea of playing that level ever again.
I heard that the Steam version which actually adds extra material is a pretty good improvement, and from what I see in this trailer, looks like that's the version we'll be getting.
Looks like a cheap ripoff of The Letter.
@GravyThief The original doesn't even have a story. In fact, one of the levels is a remake of the original with better graphics.
Why not coming to 3DS
