I always find Thomas at Digital Foundry's videos interesting. You can hear the enthusiasm for his subject matter in the tone of his voice. Just listen to him talking about atmospheric scattering and the way shadows are mapped from source.

I usually say hello to the other islanders and try out a few emotions, but I wasn't really aware that these interactions affected some sort of friendship rating.

I check everyday for Redd at the secret beach, it must have been over a week since he was last there. It would be nice to see a bit more of him!

It looks quite fun - like a Minecraft and Diablo mashup. If it turns out well on Switch I'm certainly interested.

I tried getting into Grid Autosport, but I have to be honest with myself. Horizon Chase Turbo is much more my level. I absolutely love this game, it really seems to pop hand-held as well. I bought the Summer Vibes DLC for a couple of quid and that's wonderful too.

I ordered a physical backers copy. There's lots of stuff going on in the world that's a shed-load more important than receiving a video game late. I'm looking forward to playing this game on my Switch whenever it arrives.

Like most things they do, I'm sure Google are throwing a ton of money at Stadia. EA don't get out of bed for anything less than a huge pile of cash.

I wasn't really aware of the game before reading this article, but having watched the trailer it's very much on the wishlist. I'll keep an eye on things from here.

Played it for the first time last night. I'm not sure that I've ever played a Streets of Rage game before, but growing up I certainly played tons of side scrolling beat em ups and I fancied a bit of a nostalgia trip. I absolutely loved it. For me they completely nailed it. It plays like a dream on Switch too. Before I knew it, it was one in the morning.

I've already had some fun with Animal Crossing. Hopefully I'll be able to spend some more time on Humpalooza later, and maybe a little Streets of Rage 4 (which I treated myself to earlier).

I actually liked a lot about Starfox Zero. Sadly if they ported it to Switch they'd have to leave that horrible two screen dynamic behind.... wait a minute!

I backed the kickstarter and I'm certainly looking forward to playing it again. Like JoeDiddley I wonder when my backers copy will arrive, but to be honest I'm not ready to break away from Animal Crossing at the moment anyway.

I think I paid four quid for this in a sale the other day. It's pretty good, but I haven't had much time to play it - I'm looking at you Animal Crossing.

I'll probably squeeze in a bit more Animal Crossing, but I fancy something "a little bit different" too. Maybe Astral Chain or Daemon X Machina. I have both of those to finish.

I love Platinum Games, I really do. But I think we're all in danger of hearing a little too much from them at the moment... if indeed that point hasn't already been reached.

They had it in stock at Game and Shopto this morning. I thought I'd caught the Game one but I ummed and ahhed too long and it went out of stock in my basket.

I am more than ready to replay Super Mario Galaxy on Switch. Love that game.

Well I bought it for the price of lollipop in the recent Doom sale. I'm surprised at how much I''m enjoying it. I thought I'd never get round to playing it, but I have and I really like it.

I picked it up my pre-order from Smyths on my way into the office this morning. I have to admit I really only bought it for my seven year old - who really enjoyed the demo - but I'm sure I'll get some pleasure out of helping him out. It's far too expensive, but the resale value of physical Switch games is so high, that I won't lose much money even if I sell it in 6 months time.

I've been playing Dragon Quest XI since before Christmas. It's an amazing game, but I'm getting to the stage where I'd like to play something else now... This weekend I will be playing more Dragon Quest XI. I hope to finish it in time for Animal Crossing.

I've never played an Animal Crossing game before. I have to say at the moment I don't really "get it", I'm just being swept along with the wave of enthusiasm.

As long as Platinum continue to bring amazing games to Nintendo platforms, I don't really care if they're exclusive or not.

I've backed a standard phyiscal copy. It should work out about £35 including postage to the UK.

I've been playing Dragon Quest for so long, I won't know what to do with myself when I'm done... probably play another game or something.

We are also focused on initiatives that keep consumers playing... except for where Super Mario Party is concerned.

I think I'll just keep chipping away at DQXI until Animal Crossing arrives.

This is clearly a game that I'm going to enjoy, but I just have too many games to to get through at the moment. I'll have a go at free demo though and put it on my pile of shame if it ever goes on sale.
