Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has issued a video statement in which he addresses several controversies that have rocked the company in recent months.
The statement – which was pushed to social accounts prior to the Ubisoft Forward event yesterday – addresses recent allegations of misconduct by Ubisoft employees, as well as the furore surrounding its Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad smartphone game.
Regarding the misconduct allegations, Guillemot said:
This summer, we learned that certain Ubisoft employees did not uphold our company’s values, and that our systems failed to protect the victims of their behaviour. I am truly sorry to everyone who was hurt. We have taken significant steps to remove or sanction those who violated our values and code of conduct and we are working to improve our systems and processes.
We are also focused on improving diversity and inclusivity at all levels of the company. For example, we will invest an additional $1 million over the next five years in our graduate program. The focus will be on creating opportunities for underrepresented groups, including women and people of color to join and thrive at Ubisoft.
We are at the start of a long journey. Real change will take time. But I am determined to do everything in my power to ensure everyone at Ubisoft feels welcome, respected, and safe. And to rebuild the trust our teams, fans, and players have in us.
Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad – Ubisoft’s new mobile title – has triggered criticism due to the way in which appears to portray a movement similar to Black Lives Matter in a negative light.
Guillemot addressed this issue with the following statement:
Around the world, this year continues to be a time of societal unrest. I want to be clear. Ubisoft stands for equality and respect for all. Unfortunately, one of our recent mobile games included content that was inappropriate. This kind of oversight cannot happen. We are putting in place safeguards to prevent it in the future.
We condemn anyone using our game as a proxy for hate or toxicity. We fully support the Black Lives Matter movement. And today, we are making an additional donation to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
Guillemot also resisted calls for his resignation from the company, stating that he was "fully committed to leading the change at Ubisoft, and to ensuring we always uphold and exemplify our core values. In the company, in the industry, the community, and in our games."

I think people fail to realise just how large Ubisoft are. I’m not gonna make excuses for the dreadful things that have come out recently but it’s a company with 18000 employees and it’s hard to maintain control with that size a workforce. Things will fall down the cracks. That Elite Squad debacle was a bloody car crash though, who even knows why somebody would sign off on that design combined with the plot.
Reminds me of the "We're sorry" meme from south park....
empty pointless apology with no actual change
well from a company that rams SJW down your throats and all this stuff was reported to managment. Sort your own house out before you preach.
These overly produced, generalized corporate apologies are always too saccharine and completely unrealistic.
They never feel genuine or believable in anyway.
Talk is cheap, as they say...
I feel like they just make these sort of things to appease the public and return doing their regular BS once more, as soon as the heat dies down and they are back behind closed doors.
It’s a start. It was also intentionally generic, put out before UbiForward so that it would get pushed down by tweets about UbiForward itself, and their excuse for not including in UbiForward proper was ridiculous; so it’s not a very good start. Much more to be done here, and it doesn’t help that this is the first sites like this one have reported on it at all.
@Anguspuss Surprised it took three comments before somebody mentioned SJW boogeymen.
@Rika_Yoshitake Except for the money that they are donating, but I actually read the article, and you didn’t.
Classic non apology.
Specially when numerous misconduct reports were buried at HR and some of them were accusing high executives with close relation to Guillemot.
Oh, and the way they deliver it, just before a big games announcement and through a parallel channel is disgusting.
I'm not getting any Ubisoft product until they really change things there.
I was always of the opinion that the more one virtue signals, the more dirty stuff they’re trying to hide. Just like a lot of male feminists turn out to be molesters, a company that openly falsifies history in the name of “inclusivity” turns out to run an awful business environment. Same with Naughty Dog, all that talk about empowering women while kicking the women that worked there out and making the workplace miserable.
@TG16_IS_BAE $ 200K a year for a big company like Ubisoft is less than pocket change. It doesn't change anything.
@SmaggTheSmug Yeah, it turns out that actually the really nicest people in the world are the ones you meet at far right rallies. Good Christian folks who don’t try to virtue signal and instead are perfectly open about how racist, sexist and homophobic they are, we should all aspire to be like them!
"it’s a company with 18000 employees"
@nessisonett I'm surprised at that. I knew they were big but not that big. I'd have guessed around 3000 at most.
@SmaggTheSmug What??!!!!😕😕😕
@OorWullie Yep, I was shocked too. Google gives a specific figure but it’s only a wee bit above 18k. It’s because they have so many studios I think.
Gotta love these corporate apologies created by a PR firm. I'm in the wrong business I feel like between companies and celebrities PR firms are killing it with all the clean up work there is nowadays.
Nothing beats the classic tearful yelp from Jimmy Swaggart:
"I have sinned!"
I can't wait to see a Kickstarter page pop up for $1 million to help exorcising their company of evil people.
@TG16_IS_BAE Money they are donating... becuase the need to be seen to be doing something because they are desperate for this to go away.
Why not donate directly to Black Lives Matter? The NAACP is probably the weakest organization they could have donated to.
@nessisonett I don't think anyone is criticizing Guillemot because some worker around the world was assaulted or molested. The protection of abusers runs deep within the company structure, and that's something that can only be done with the people at the top either turning a blind eye or being part of the machine.
Jim Sterling has great videos about this: https://youtu.be/BRhYT5Lgp98
Ubisoft apologizes: Fans outcry its not sincere?
Ubisoft don’t apologize: Fans outcry they don’t apologize?
There’s no pleasing anyone these days.
Get Woke, Go Broke
@BumpkinRich Or maybe they really do want to make change. Don't be so negative.
@71nk0 Yep, the problem with a company that size is that there isn’t the proper scrutiny put on the actions of these people though as it follows a hierarchical structure. All it takes is one regional manager in the hierarchy to bury it and 99% of your company won’t know anything about it. I don’t doubt for a second that Guillemot knew about this though, some of those guys were exceedingly close to the top.
@71nk0 How do you know that donating money to charitable organizations doesn't change anything? Are you being pessimistic or do you actually know something that we don't?
this really doesn't benefit a lot of people if they choose to complain about it
@Y2JayRome This is not an appology, this is damage control.
Don't talk about the abuse, here's some games.
@ReikoMortis Exactly.
@ReikoMortis Thats what diversity is. Whats happening at the moment is crap people get hired because of who they are.
They're so sorry that they didn't bother to put the apology on their show last night, blaming "time constraints" of a pre recorded show that they determined the length of
@ReikoMortis At the moment, practically 99.99999999999% of developers are white men. ‘Diversity BS’ is an attempt to even the playing field. There are so many factors that affect the diversity of video game workers that your statement is entirely naïve. Just take 5 seconds to research before posting.
Here’s a very good and recent article that will educate those who don’t know a thing about actual diversity.
https://www.mic.com/p/game-developers-conference-2020-report-reveals-developers-attitudes-on-diversity-in-the-industry-21745574/amp
@nessisonett Hey it's Captain Woke himself
Anyone else remember when ea was asked to comment on how they were voted worst company in america by consumers and responded: "because ubisoft is in france" lol
@TG16_IS_BAE I don't know anything more than anyone, but from all the information that has been leaking for the past months, it's difficult to be optimistic about the true intentions of the executives at Ubisoft.
I feels more like they are sorry they got caught and how could that impact their income than anything else.
@nessisonett not to offend you somehow but you know the vast majority of Christians are not like that and the ones that are don't even REALLY believe in Christ the way they should if they feel obligated to be homophobic, sexist, etc and discriminate against them. You know this Right? Just don't want a bad picture of christ in someone's mind based on a couple of crazy people.
@TG16_IS_BAE I will see if they can go a few months without having to issue an appology before I get my hopes up.
Couch multiplayer brings people together. Online multiplayer keeps us separated.
@Ghostchip I went to Catholic school. It’s more that the sort of people who make a big deal about being Christian are those who act a certain way. Or they use it to hide behind. I have no idea how half the teachers at my school got away with using language like ‘infidels’ when referring to minorities or telling outright lies about homosexuality but that’s that. I don’t blame the entire religion hahaha!
And to think people buy their games. Sad.
@Y2JayRome To be fair, there is "pleasing anyone". They could have apologised properly instead of tweeting a video right before a livestream that works result in a load of tweets pushing it down the feed while everyone spoke about their new game announcements. That was designed to be buried.
I think Guillemot is a genuine person and have no reason to doubt his sincerity. At the very least he deserves the benefit of the doubt. He has acknowledged that mistakes and crimes have taken place and is looking to reprimand those responsible and safeguard against similar crimes being repeated. He wants to work toward a safe, positive and just environment within his company and he is already trying to achieve it. He is already putting money down so it's not just empty words. Give him a chance.
People need to cut Ubisoft some slack already. It's a big company thus things can easily go under the radar. They apologized and attempt to do better, let them at least attempt to do so before completely demonizing them. For me personally, Ubisoft has always been one of the more progressive triple A studios with no oversexualised playable female characters and including all types of humans in their games. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Diversity of thought is what matters.
@Judgedean I doubt the Captain is too concerned about the opinions of someone whose forensics skills involve repeating the same attempted insult.
@nessisonett Nah bigger companies than Ubisoft manage not to harbour employee abuse for years on end. Ubi's leadership have been a special kind of negligent.
@JimmySpades Aye, he be repeating the same arrrrgument.
So Ubisoft fully supports defunding the police? Irresponsible.
@JimmySpades he is though cuz he's Woke
@JimmySpades Of course. I will certainly not be looking at the color of ones skin to judge diversity of thought, that would be a bad strategy and also racist.
@scully1888 I understand your point, but I think you're making it out to be much more seedy than it actually is. It takes two seconds to scroll through their tweets and see it. It's not as if the video has now disappeared and they're trying to sweep it under the rug. They obviously wanted to focus on video games, so they got the elephant in the room out of the way so the focus could be on fun.
There's literally nothing wrong with that. Here's our apology and update on the situation, now on with the positivity and the real reason people are here. You're completely overthinking it, IMO.
@scully1888 also, on a positive note, they are adding the video to the main video. So it could be a result of people being unhappy with it being a separate video. I'm sure you weren't the only one who was bothered about it. I know it's a bit backhanded if they only did it because of pressure, but still, it's more exposure for that apology.
@scully1888 I also just think it's a bit disingenuous to the people at Ubisoft who weren't involved in any of the abuse. Could they have given it a grander audience? Yeah, that's fair. But they are obviously ashamed, and they know that anyone who wants to see the apology video can find it easily. For their less informed fans, they probably just wanted to give them a video game focused presentation and not muddy the waters with something some people didn't know about.
That might seem like burying it, but it would also be strange for that to be the first thing someone heard about it if they're not super into the industry.
"Hey, there was this big scandal in case you didn't know, and here is our apology. Now here's video games."
Just seems weird. Those who needed to see it, saw it. That's my take.
@scully1888 I know I keep going on (😆 apologies) but I do think as gamers we have all that we need. The scandal didn't affect us personally, and it would be so presumptuous of us to think that we know even a fraction of what went on or is still going on behind the scenes.
I'm sure those affected have been given their apologies, acknowledgement, what have you. They don't need us to be raging on their behalf. What we got, as the public, is acknowledgment, apology and the promise to repair and do better.
If we can't be happy with that, then what chance do we have as a society? It's not forgive and forget, but I don't think everyone associated with Ubisoft should be damned and dragged through the dirt for some people's mistakes. This was a way to move forward, so I really hope you come around to the idea and let it go. It's not good to hold on to this resentment. Let's focus on the vidjagaaaaaaammmmes!! 😃
P.S. I don't work for Ubisoft 🤣🤣
@BumpkinRich There you go.
@71nk0 Okay, I just don't like to operate off of assumptions.
@BumpkinRich Maybe they actually want to help. I wouldn't rule that out, automatically.
I'm waiting to see how long it will take for the comments to be locked like that one Brie Larson article.
@noobish_hat lol you wouldn't want to show them the Quran then. Makes the Bible look PG rated in comparison.
@Arkay And I nor any sane person doesn't support orange turd-backed authoritarian facism.
@nintendope64 I'm sorry, but I don't go along with any of that at all. Just saying "hey, forget about that, let's just focus on the games" is a massive insult to the people affected.
@Arkay Joseph McCarthy says hi.
Yves, you're an okay guy, but you haven't put out a game I wanted to play in almost ten years.
@EVIL-C good for you! That's what freedom of speech is for!
@scully1888 I really do understand your stance, and I think you're entitled to it and it really could be seen that way.
I just meant that as the public who weren't directly affected by the abuse, apart from being disheartened and angry over them, we got a video apology and acknowledgement, which is all we really needed. We don't know how they have handled it personally with the people affected.
Maybe they haven't been in contact and this is all they got too. In that case, it would be absolutely awful. But I don't believe that's the case. I fail to see what more they could have done. Maybe putting it at the start of the main stream would have been enough?
Here's my take in a male dominated software development industry. They only apologize whey they are caught with their pants down. If they really wanted to make change they do so long ago. This is why many industry doesn't have female workers but indie companies with female workers and they are enjoying more success there. This is why I don't believer the apology is sincere to start with.
@nessisonett give me honesty any day of the week. I'm not a fan of sjws or anti white woke types and I don't try to hide it. Love me or hate me it's no bother to me.
@Arkay Indeed, so flag burning is protected speech and thus not deserving of jail time. The same with peaceful protesting does not equate to jail time. Unlike many on the extreme right, I actually support peaceful demonstrations of views I disagree with. That's called being principled. chumpists should learn that.
@Arkay neither do I. If they didn't riot and destroy I'd be open to at least listen to their points but anyone who riots and destroys is automatically shut out by me I don't wish to associate with such people.
@nessisonett bro I feel you catholic schools are WEIRD.
I am never more outraged than the people actually in the situation.
Ubi employees seem to be back at work and no news of them all walking out on the company because changes they made are not enough.
Moving on.
@nessisonett what's wrong with being a white man? Nobody is stopping anybody getting into games development. We already live in an equal opportunity country so what's the problem? So called progressives are really just fascists in disguise who want to take from others because you haven't got the guts to make something yourselves.
@noobish_hat I'm not going to argue about religion before I was asking a question to the guy not converting him. I will say this: the bible says not to do those things but people misinterpret what it means. You can believe what you want though I am not preaching on a nintendo site lol I am here for mario not messiah
@Brummieendo90 So your argument is ‘I can be racist if I want because it’s a free country’. Sure...
@itslukec I've reported your comment. If the point here is to prevent people being abused, you've failed your own test. Personal attacks are always tempting to indulge in, but shed only heat, not light.
@EVIL-C I'm not even on the right. Not even from the States to begin with, but I don't agree with vandalizing, looting, burning down buildings is all.
If they were actually peaceful, then it would not be a problem.
But do you honestly think you can get it in a room full of [redacted]
@JimmySpades This is the single most disgusting comment I've seen on this site in some time.
@Arkay No point in arguing. In these kinds of threads there are the same people that start arguments and blame it on some invisible fascists.
I am glad I live in Europe so I don't have to deal with such crap.
@Spanjard Seriously, report JimmySpades' comment there. Racist, sexist trash like this should not be tolerated here.
@nessisonett,
I think what he was trying to say was a lot of people that virtue signal to others are rarely without reproach themselves, they tend to tell everybody to live by strict moral rules, while ignoring these high standards themselves, a lot of celebrities an politicians are like this.
@Arkay Neither am I, and my avatar should be clear as to where I'm from. But being neighbours, what goes on there does have influence on us, as well as the rest of the world.
It's silly that it's come to a point where it must be said that vandalizing, looting, etc... is bad, otherwise maybe some assume one supports it? It's so obvious what the correct stance is.
The vast majority of protesters are peaceful, be they left or right. Even those lockdown protests, which were largely right wing. The majority were not violent. Certain folks in the media will highlight a few very specific examples of BLM protestors acting out violently, and quickly condemn the entire movement as violent thugs. It's BS and very dishonest. We've had huge sympathy protests in Toronto since this began, with almost no violence.
@EVIL-C We’ve also had many protests here with no violence. The fact that the stance against systematic violence is being painted in the media as violent itself is bizarre but not unexpected.
If they didn't riot and destroy I'd be open to at least listen to their points but anyone who riots and destroys is automatically shut out by me
@Brummieendo90 Perfect! I don't riot and destroy to make my point. So, here goes:
I don't blame the BLM protestors for marching and protesting as they do. There is far, far, far too much police brutality in general, and much it falls on minorities. You get me?
@Brummieendo90 I'm largely what would be regarded as "progressive", and you saying they're "fascists in disguise" is complete and total BS. Maybe try asking some "progressives" directly what they believe in on a variety of socio-economic issues, instead of listening to chump and the MAGA cult at faux news and on Youtube. Just a thought.
@EVIL-C,
True, but that does no take away from the fact there has been a lot of deaths and violence towards the minority concerned because of these issues, in Chicago I believe 8 or so children died because of these protests, heart breaking to be honest, and let's be honest here, it's rarely the peaceful people that push an agenda.
So if you have a movement like BLM where their solution is worse than the actual problem, you have got a real issue.
@nessisonett Yeah that's the mainstream media for you. Even the "radical far-left commies" at MSNBC as the right thinks of them, paints BLM as nothing but thugs and looters, while still blaming Russia for these protests. It's pathetic. Their interests lie with the corporations, CEO's and the elites. Same with most elected politicians on the left and right. This culture war stuff is just a smokescreen to distract from the real problems.
@EVIL-C,
Totally disagree with this, if anything the media has rarely reported the violence caused by the protesters, they have always shown the authorities in a more violent way.
@Ghostchip Im glad someone defended Christianity. I'm not even a Christian, but that it's being labeled as a bad thing is absurd.
@Losermagnet,
Correct, like with every movement or occupation there will be good and bad within it, the left only focuses on the bad and makes it out to be the whole organization is somehow corrupt.
@nessisonett AAHH yes the mandatory sexist,racist,misogynist trifector when labeling people that don't adhere to the woke brigade 🙄. All those words have lost all meaning at this point
What a mess. Why do you guys even leave comment sections open for articles like this?
Sure. You might hope that the community can be better behaved and people will be tolerant of each other, learn from each other...but it's the same people bickering back and forth about nothing. Every time. About literally nothing. This isn't ancient Greece. We aren't scientists and philosophers debating each other in an open forum.
It's just noise.
Ubisoft issued an apology. Great. Information received. No one really needs to react on it.
@Losermagnet well just because people are Christians does not mean are good people get out of jail free card but people claiming to be doing bad things in Gods name is just misinterpretation of the bible (which is terrible) and that's what gives people the idea that the bible supports racism/sexism when in reality it says all men and women are created equal and also says not to judge others for who they are. The group that does misinterpret the bible thankfully is a minority but these people obviously are the ones getting in the news because of there bad deeds although kind of regretting talking about God on a nintendo site this is where I look at link not the lord lol. My puns are bad.
@johnvboy exactly pretty sure you explained it better then I did by miles
@Lindhardt we are here to talk about BLJs not BLM's just kidding I've been doing cheesy puns and I couldn't resist
@PlayedNSlayed Trifector? Are you from Bristol?
@johnvboy eh, personally I think both political ideologies have been making an effort to discredit the other. But, respectfully, I don't want to discuss politics.
@Losermagnet,
Don't blame you fella.
@johnvboy One still can't deny the sheer number of cases where authorities use excessive force, like so called "wellness checks" ending with gunshots, injuries, death, etc.. Police aren't a one-size-fits-all solution, yet we've made them into that role. Also it's easy for those to dismiss deeper systemic issues when they've never been marginalized in any way.
"We're sorry we got caught and promise to do better in the future"
Shrug. It's a big company. Can't fix it all. Also, sigh. Another easy way in for underrepresented groups.
Why bring the best person for the job when you can bring some diversity to bolster your SJW rating?
The skin color of your employees does not matter. Their sexuality doesn't matter. Their genders do not matter. Their physical health does not matter unless there's a specific reason it would compromise their work. Their mental health matters tremendously.
Invest the money in mental health instead of diversity.
@EVIL-C,
Of course not there are issues, but are they as widespread and systemic as some are claiming?, not in my opinion, as on the whole these are hard working people doing a difficult job.
Whoa. That Bloomberg article is insane. Guess I can't support ubisoft anymore.
@EVIL-C I agree with nearly everything you've written, and yet look at how this thread has unfolded. On the one side, comments from JimmySpades and nessisonett that are, frankly, bigoted - let's attack one group in the name of defending another. Stupidity as old as time. On the other side, comments by Arkay and Brummieendo90 labeling the protestors "communists" and "rioters", completely missing the point about state violence. Classic denial. Do you suppose they've heard each others' points?
Most of the other posts are cynical about Ubisoft's motives, and the usefulness of the actions taken. Can you blame them? I cannot.
And are we any closer to solutions? No wonder some say this thread should never have been opened, or should be closed ASAP. There really is too much noise here.
In the meantime, we have a game from Ubisoft (Immortals) that borrows from a Nintendo game (BOTW) that borrowed from Ubisoft in the first place (the ubiquitous towers unlocking the map). Eastern and Western developers incubating and advancing each other's ideas even while they're, technically, in competition. Does that suggest anything to you?
A nice cheap apology, way easier than actually cleaning house.
The fish rots from the head, this guy should be looking for a new job. He might have never met these people, but he is responsible for their actions.
@COVIDberry I agree and think that this site should strictly stick to gaming only, and not what gaming companies do in general.
But you know that threads like these generate waaay more clicks and exposure.
Also you hit the nail on the head about who actually the bigot people are here
@Lindhardt Naw I think it’s you that doesn’t understand what Communism is or what the organization of BLM represents. The founders of BLM literally claim to be “trained marxists”. Terrorism by definition is the unlawful use of force to further a political objective. I’d say $600 million in property damage, 900 injured police officers, 30 deaths, the calling for the destruction of then nuclear family, and the calling for violence in the suburbs absolutely fits the description of terrorism.
@noobish_hat You don't know the link I was trying to make regarding your comment about evil teachings in holy books??? It's a valid point to make - you can't just judge one religion and ignore the others. Do you not agree with my earlier statement?
@C-Threep 100% right. I was surprised the Ubisoft CEO mentioned BLM as most people and companies are realising BLM doesn't actually stand for equality and improving black communities. Most black communities don't want to de-fund the police and don't support BLM. Most of the people in those "peaceful BLM protests" are just woke white idiots.
@johnvboy Widespread and systematic enough... If you ask me.
I remember when I first learned how to drive. My Dad spent more time explaining how to behave WHEN I'm unfairly stopped (that's when, not IF). A good friend of his was shot, getting his license and registration, after a Policemen specifically told him to. I was taught to always keep my hands on the steering wheel. Also, to keep silent when told that I "resemble" a suspect in the area.
@SmaggTheSmug
Agreed!
@Lindhardt The statement I said about the nuclear family is directly from the BLM website, I’ll post it here instead of your reddit thread:
“We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure”
https://blacklivesmatter.com/what-we-believe/
If you’d like my opinion on the matter, I’d say all races (especially the black community who has 65% single parents) need MORE nuclear family structure. Fathers abandoning their kids and mother being incentivized to essentially marry the government is ruining communities of low incomes.
Here’s a NY Post article (not exactly an alt right source haha) regarding violence against police:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2020/06/08/more-than-700-officers-injured-in-george-floyd-protests-across-us/amp/
Here’s an interview with BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors where she literally admits to being a “trained Marxist” : https://youtu.be/p7C6tNjiRKY
No alt right echo chamber here dude. Just facts that your left wing echo chamber seems to ignore for the sake of the narrative.
"Fully supports BLM"
And I'll never buy another Ubisoft game. Good riddance.
Don't give money to people who hate you.
I will never again buy another Ubi Soft product because of it’s cucking to the Left.
We a so sorry we got caught...
Video game companies that are dead to me:
Bethesda
Konami
Naughty Dog
Ubisoft
Wales Interactive
@Lindhardt Right on. Internet arguments can feel intense because you can’t sit and reason with someone, you have to frantically type while trying to work or whatever else is going on. It’s all good. Interestingly many of us want the same things but are looking at it from very different perspectives
@BLAZINOAH good dont buy there games anymore
@Lindhardt actually its injustice not the police.
and the administration
different converstation for a different time. this is nintendo life.
This is just another reason why I've already committed myself to only supporting Japanese third party companies. I try to always support Nintendo first-party unless a Japanese third-party releases a really Fantastical jrpg but other than that I do stay as far away from Western third-party products as possible
@Rika_Yoshitake Someone needs to call Captain Hindsight.😉
@Amin_Parker You don't think shady things happen at eastern game development studios? Just because we don't hear about it doesn't mean it isn't happening.
If you make good games I will buy them, whatever else is happening is unfortunate if true and unfortunate if false.
@Arkay
More than 93% of the protests have been peaceful. The same cannot be said for the counter protests.
But we have a new drinking game: take a shot whenever someone uses the term 'woke'. We'll all be pissed in no time.
@k8sMum Woke is the dumbest word right up there with lit
The fact any of these horrendous actions are happening at a massive corporation with a significant foothold in the industry is revolting. No apologies can make up for that. Only real serious actions. This is disappointing.
@Ghostchip
LMAO. Somebody at EA actually responded with that line?
@nessisonett What? Are you obsessed or something? You know that people who aren’t virtue signaling SJW points aren’t automatically Trump-supporting alt-right Christian racists? Between far left and far right there’s a whole lot of normal, decent people that don’t dictate to others how they should be living their lives and don’t support racial segregation.
@UmbreonsPapa Naughty Dog had like 70% turnover rate, which is unheard of in video game industry. And the main guy fired the woman who created Uncharted plot so he could meddle with it freely, ironically to promote “feminism“.
@noobish_hat I've only read bits of the bible and Quran (as 99.9% of people who comment on it have). I bought up Islam because of the similarities you mentioned.
It's strange that you hate Christianity because of those reasons you bought up BUT get upset when I refer to another religion (which you knowledge just now are similar).
I think people who have more sympathy with the far left if they weren't so hypocritical in how they are offended.
@the4seer,
I get that, but is that proof it's widespread, I am white and remember being stopped by the police when I first learned to dive and had a new car, they assumed it was stolen.
Don't get all woke up on me when I clearly show you your hypocrisy. You say both are garbage but get upset that I bought up Islam!? If you can't understand how you are contradicting yourself on each reply, then that explains a lot about you.
@johnvboy Widespread... No. You're right, that experience does not mean that it is widespread.
Systematic, Yes... I will probably have the same conversation with my children, when they start driving 💯
That being said, I appreciate the Reply. Although, we have different views on these issues. I respect the fact that we can debate maturely.
@COVIDberry I don't remember what I said haha. But you do what you have to do to sleep at night.
@the4seer,
No problems, but I do think that there can be issues with the police for all groups of people, but I still feel on the whole they are good people doing a great job.
@SmaggTheSmug,
The problem is that if you do not fully support the left and their views you are far right, when in reality there are many positions left and right.
@Lindhardt,
When you look at any of these figures it's easy to view it a certain way to support a position, but the main issue with murder rates is people tend to look at the percentage based on all the people in the country as a whole, and what percentage of the overall population a certain group of people represent, this is not the correct way to look at it as the majority of people are law abiding, and will therefore not put themselves in position where they are likely to be injured of even killed by the police.
You have to look at the percentage of the overall criminal population a certain group of people represent to make a fair judgement.
Against denying the very fact of Russophobia.
Is rejection of the world from Russia.
There is absolutely no threat from Russia.
Enough speculation.
The world has no future without Russia, and this is a fact.
@ReikoMortis Glad to know you're okay with people being harassed. No one should NOT feel safe going to work. This sounds like someone who harasses people or has never worked a day in their life.
I love how there are people who can't just agree that you should be left alone at work and shouldn't be harassed for ANY reason. How is it in 2020 we still have people who think like this? And how have the comments disintegrated into ***** that's completely off topic? Go to work, do your job, leave people alone, and go home.
@Rika_Yoshitake Low stupid hater
Imagine having your comment deleted for not agreeing with riots and destruction of property.
Excuse me for thinking differently, NLife.
