Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 4th)

To give someone an idea of how I feel about that Nintendolife review of My Time At Sandrock being 5/10 because of its performance. My wife, probably the center of the target demographic for this game, doesn't even acknowledge any of it. Personally I don't really notice it that much either, even pre-patch. If anything it runs a little better than Portia.

I think maybe, just maybe, a professional review should be for the audience and not the reviewer.

Being more experienced reading if a game is good or not having been playing since the Atari, I was able to see passed that review. But if my wife saw a 5/10 review for this game she wouldn't have bought it. She's having a blast with this game. So what is Nintendolife's objective with their reviews, because it doesn't appear to be objectivity.

For what it's worth my wife picked this up at launch (she was a big fan of My Time At Portia) and the performance hasn't affected her at all. I personally haven't really noticed it being a big issue either, but I'm from a different era that maybe has a higher tolerance for this stuff. She loves supporting the smaller developer too at launch.

I think if you're a fan of Portia go ahead and pick this up. Nintendo World Report gave it a very different review (8.5/10).

Re: Reminder: Splatoon 3's Chocolate Splatfest Is This Weekend, Which Team Will You Pick?

Dark chocolate is the sophisticated person's choice, however I know the hardcore players don't actually care about what they prefer. They will try to min-max the system to lock in a strong lead, and the majority of plebs will obviously choose milk chocolate.

As for white chocolate, I don't even acknowledge it and it is interchangeable with 'vomit' as a third choice. It's not even technically chocolate, just coagulated oil. Disgusting garbage for animal humans.
