Super Mario 3d World And Bowsers Fury

The very first review of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury has now been published by Japanese publication, Famitsu. The verdict arrives just over a week ahead of the game's official release.

Famitsu's scoring system has four different reviewers rate the game out of ten; in this case, the magazine's reviewers opted for scores of nine, nine, eight, and ten, resulting in an overall score of 36/40 (thanks, Ryokutya2089 / VGC).

As noted by VGC, Famitsu awarded the original Wii U version of Super Mario 3D World a score of 38/40, a slightly higher score than the publication has given to the new Switch game. The review reportedly calls the Bowser's Fury mode “a lot of fun”, while also praising the new mode's challenge and replayability and the online functionally offered in the base game.

We'll have our very own review of the game for you a little nearer to the game's release, so make sure to stay tuned to read our thoughts. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury launches exclusively on Switch on 12th February – and you can pre-order it now.
