Not to sound mean but as a board game designer that has worked with 2 video game IPs this game feels very tone deaf to where the board game industry is currently.

To give an illustration, saying they have a 'Dynamic Board Game System' with a modular board is like saying you just invented the wheel in 2020. It's really important to do your due diligence before entering a certain market you aren't really experienced in and update yourself on where the board game industry is at currently because they're so far ahead of this it isn't even funny. Roll-and-move games are generally viewed in the board game industry like maze games in video games, a dead genre, and a game that uses components to randomize the board is called a modular board, which in itself is 30+ year old concept in the board game industry.

I'm not saying this is the perfect film but reading through some of the negative reviews it's pretty clear if you're over the age of 50 and can't comprehend why people play video games you won't enjoy this movie.

This is the most disappointing game-related thing I've head all year. This was a great game with terrible controls that would work perfectly on the Switch.

If he's tickled pink that would be the proper idiom in this scenario. This could be one of those moments people have where they've been saying the idiom wrong their whole life and the article writer is just discovering this now.

Nintendo is at the height of their hubris with this online service. They think we're just going to buy it because they're Nintendo. They've given us virtually no information but we should just trust them. Get your heads out of your asses.

I don't think 'fake' is the right word here. That gives the impression it's a copy or counterfeit of an existing game, or that the game never existed and this is made up by a fan. Counterfeit board games are a real issue facing the tabletop industry and China right now. This looks like a wholly original game that stole assets from Nintendo but did exist and was sold as such.

This is a good thing. When no one pre-orders maybe Nintendo will realize how serious the issue is of the fact we still know nothing about this actual service and how disorganized they've been regarding it.

Hopefully more info on IDWs Sonic board game (Crash Course) coming in Sept.

I can't wait for them to implement the online fee so I have a reason to stop playing games so much. I'll never subscribe to it unless Nintendo stops being weirdly vague about it and commits to what they're actually offering.

This is the second Retro/Star Fox rumor I've heard this month but it's completely different in its description of the game. I think it's Retro themselves spreading lies.
