Next month, Monster Hunter celebrates its anniversary. We're now also close to the release of Monster Hunter Rise on the Switch. With this in mind, Capcom has announced via Twitter that it will be hosting a total of three live stream events in March.
This includes a digital event on 8th March, new gameplay, hunting tutorials and a director Q&A on 9th March, and a community broadcast on 11th March. Notably, there'll be information about Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2.
Monster Hunter's social media account is also taking questions for game director Yasunori Ichinose on Twitter. To send one in, all you need to do is reply to the tweet attached to the above one. They'll then be answered on the 9th March live stream.
In related news, yesterday Capcom showed off Apex Monsters and the new Rampage Mode in Monster Hunter Rise. You can learn more about this in our previous post. Will you be watching these upcoming broadcasts? Leave a comment down below.

All I really want to hear about is the great ace attorney. I guess that’s too much to ask.
I’m strangely not fussed about Rise. I still play 4 Ultimate as well. Perhaps this stream will change my mind.
I don't need to hear more about Rise. I'm sold.
Definitely want to see more of Stories 2, though.
I'm sold on both, specially Stories 2 even if they haven't shown much. I enjoyed the first one so much that it's sure that I'll get this one.
So the first event will be on 8 March 2021 9 pm Surabaya time.
I will watch MonHun Stories 2 trailer.
Monster hunter 2 for me.
Rise is pre ordered, no need to do more convincing, Capcom. However, I am excited to learn more about stories 2.
Stories 2 info nao!!! I wanna know what the battle system will be like, I was actually pretty okay with the first game's battle system but I don't mind changing it up some. I will admit some large monsters ended up being partially luck-based, which was annoying.
I own an unopened copy of MH stories that I bought on a whim so that I exceeded a certain value to trigger interest free shopping. I will definitely play it as soon as I’m sold on both rise (preordered) and stories 2.
Yay, Stories 2! I missed it in the Direct, but I'm glad to see we'll be getting info about it soon. Hopefully they'll give a release date as well. Maybe in summer too? The famous leak said June, but I see it to close, considering it hasn't been shown yet.
I'm glad for the fans that this new episode is just around the corner but I feel that the release of MHGU on Switch isn't that far enough for me to want this one.
I don't care, I know I love it since playing the demo, already pre-ordered.
Capcom is gassing up the hype-mobile, I see.
Sit down, Direct. The grown ups are talking now lol. (joke people) Looking forward to these.
Not my thing but I hope people like it.
It's crazy how that Wyvern Riding demo in Monster Hunter Rise was so bad it turned me off the series and I just can't pick it up again.
Looks like it could be some stories bits too!
Capcom you dont need a digital Presentation for Monster Hunter Rise, i already conviced i need this game(in fact Monster Hunter Rise is gonna be my birthday present in early april).
For anyone that is interested, the Nintendo UK store have the Monster Hunter Rise amiibo up for pre-order.
Hope to hear more about Monster Hunter Stories 2, including its release date (supposedly in June according to the Capcom leaks, but that could be delayed).
The 2nd Monster Hunter Rise Demo should be announced at one of these livestreams.
I'm definitely watching. The portable team are really kicking it out of the park in showing not just what the RE engine is capable of, but how much more powerful the switch is than we expect it to be. Seriously these guys made the celebration title as their last game so they're used to giving all they've got. I'm glad that they're also proud of what they have made, showing us not just awesome trailers but also showing us actual gameplay and mechanics which is incredible as there's many big games that try to avoid this until release day. Sure, there's people who think it's over hyped, but since it's such a massive thing in Japan it makes sense they're going to be showing it off like crazy.
Also very excited for more stories news. They've hinted in the most recent trailer at the end there will be cross over DLC for both games so that alone is very interesting indeed!
@echoplex GU was a re release of Double Cross on the 3ds. It's actually been four years since the original Generations and work for Rise was started roughly around when it was finished. It's been baking a while in the oven.😊 it's the portable teams time to shine while the team that made World/Iceborne are busy with their next one.
@Ryu_Niiyama so they should be! The portable team for Monster Hunter have been working on it for 4 years. They're proud and want to show how much love they've sunk into thier game.
Super excited for this. The game cannot come soon enough!
@Meikahidenori Thank you for explaining that. Still, as a recent player of MHGU it feels a bit too soon-ish ! The only one I had played before was Tri on Wii. I still might jump on the hype train when Rise releases
