@Max_the_German hot take: super metroid's controls are why i don't like it too much legitimately whiplash after the smooth-as-butter gba and dread games needed a controls romhack to find it playable
@SilverM tbf outside of Metroid, MvDK and Pokemon Snap most of those are niche, i think most people are awaiting the more talked-about IPs (Kid Icarus, Star Fox, and F-Zero)
@littlegreenbob Pokemon SV had a big issue particularly cause it kinda rendered the entire landscape at once, even if you were far away from any areas.
@LexKitteh While i get where you're coming from, I can't agree personally. Yes, they've had the same VAs for decades and skilled ones at that, but I don't think that discredits the modern-day English VAs. Maybe it comes from your sub preference but they aren't perfect either, many times the lines sound a bit monotone in the japanese version when the scene doesn't match that sorta tone.
Can we PLEASE make these the last NES games for NSO, Nintendo???? IDC if there's still a classic or two missing, move porting resources to the newer systems!
@johnedwin if I had to wager, ps5 owners are generally adults with more stable incomes to afford the game on launch. There are a decent chunk of people on switch who fit that description as well, but the majority of switch owners are children or families who might have to budget often, thus they'd have to wait till Black Friday or Christmas to get it.
so do we know if this'll be something you can buy with the game separately, comes with the game while stock lasts, or is it gonna be in every copy they make?
Sunshine for sure. i've tried beating the damn game for the past 8 years, and only just recently beat it in March. I absolutely DESPISE the mission shine requirements, especially given how horrid the fluddless levels get after the first 3 worlds... the sand blocks after the wood gear caused so much rage, and then the rotating block elevator... urgh.
I've seen people shocked that sakurai played Spider-Man 2. I think they forget that most people who work for X big game company aren't restricted to game on their company's system, and can play what they like (with limits legally obviously)
I loved this system, I apparently even played it when i was little so it's kinda fate that I do lol I'll also love how they used the same name worldwide
@Moonwatcher i think back in the gen 5-6 days, when they did events at, say, a mcdonalds or walmart (here in the us anyways), it felt a lot more special, especially when you didn't even know. it also helped that rarer pokemon weren't given out like candy lol
Tonder if there'll ever be nintendo stores in less-popular states, like mine of good 'ol NC. Raleigh is one of the largest cities in the US by population, so i think it'd be a good spot. This store looks great though
@Turbo857 iirc the sheikah parts you'd get in botw were hinted at being repurposed for the towers. it's very likely any non-destroyed powerless guardians were salvaged for parts as well
i actually really like the kapp'n tour and camping ones, (and the party set is cheap which is good), but yeah the buildings being only being 3 walls and not even technically that since it's horizontally cramped where they're only about 4-5 bricks wide is lame, even with the filler props they added. also, why does nook have a dog tail in one of the images? XD
imagine if TPC and GF were actually this quick and transparent with their updates, or any AAA studio for that matter... millions to billions to their name and yet they can't afford basic bug fixes
@LXP8 nope, they work independently of the app. i've used homebrew to make custom ones as well as downloading some of the ones that were on the app, and they work fine
@MrJellySandwich I'm hoping for kapp'n's boat and dock, the island shop from New Leaf and/or different houses for the styles in new horizons (as well as the style from the first game)
God yes, I know it's weird but my favorite part of this game has always been the food and drinks you can concoct up, looks like maybe a tea of some sort in the image
The FC is only ok in comparison to FIFA's trashy legacy editions, so this is fine by me. Though if you're gonna buy an FC game, either go for this one only and don't buy any after, or wait a year to see if improvements happen
@Not_Soos I freaking loved the super brawl stuff There was also one for that Tuff Puppy cartoon that was basically "baby's first Fire Emblem" yet I still enjoy it more than FE standard lol
@Porky wasn't there an article on this where most shiver members in JP just voted for her and never actually played the splatfest??? The popularity vote is a large factor in her winning even if they don't win too many games

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's N64 Library With Namco Classic 'Ridge Racer 64'
i get mirrorfate was rude about this, but to be fair the vast majority of switch users would be more excited for a dk64 or DKR than ridge racer lol
Re: Poll: So, Were You Accepted For The Nintendo Switch 2 Hands-On Event?
maybe if they didn't cater to the same 9 darn cities every time and chose a venue not 3 states away from me I'd actually have applied
