Picked up the three Splatoon amiibo today so the restock probably applies across Europe (i'm in the Netherlands). Also saw one mega Yarn Yoshi but 40 euro is a bit too steep for me.
Pokemon Shuffle is actually very playable without spending anything and doesn't really pester you. Unlike Badge Arcade but i'm not complaining... beggars can't be choosers
@OorWullie Actually, the Echolocator is one of the reasons i've been sticking with my trusted N-Zapper for all this time. It is really very useful whether you're defending or attacking. I feel blind without it now
I'd like some more free plays (like in Pokemon Shuffle) but the game itself is fun and most of the badges look nice. And nobody's forcing me to "pay to play"so i've got no complaints really.
@rjejr yeah but there isn't a single game in that top 10 that i would pay any money for. I don't need 99% of the multi-plat blockbusters because they bore me to death.
three words: FREE ONLINE PLAY. A 30$ per month subscription may seem like small change to hardcore gamebro's but it quickly adds up to a substantial amount of money.
@linforcer The SoQ was gutted by the courts who judged it to be an unfair policy towards 3rd party devs. Nintendo are no longer allowed to refuse a license to sub-standard or bad games.
@Spin interesting! It did remind me of the Twinbee mechanic but i never knew this was the start of the series. i used to play this weird Japanese import game on the SNES that i really loved. Years later - no internets in those days - i found out it was one of the Twinbee games. Konami used to make so many excellent games back in the day!
I'm thinking / hoping that MK8 will offer one more DLC pack towards the end of the Wii U lifecycle. Judging by past performance, the next console will probably be backwards compatible so it would make sense to rekindle interest in the ultimate "evergreen" title
Nice. I really love the way that Nintendo supports games in this way after launch. Splatoon is the prime example of how to keep a game fresh and exciting for many months. And it should be noted that most of the Big N's DLC is free to download without paying extra. A big plus for someone like me who has a very limited gaming budget.
@Captain_Gonru thanks for the info! I'll have a look-see if i can find them over here in Euroland first. Transatlantic shipping charges have gone thru the roof
"You're so mean! I want a new Zelda right now and i want it to be the same as my favourite Zelda but different and with sprinkles on top or i'll hold my breath"
It's simple... the majority of Nintendo products is purchased by children or their parents and not by "mature" dude bro's. If they spoil the family friendly image they are doomed.
I've got one near mint & boxed NES stashed away and another one that's been hacked to remove the region check so i can play PAL and NTSC carts. Hooked up to a big old CRT TV and a 5.1 sound system. i've got about 250 NES cartridges and my current faves are Bubble Bobble, Metroid and Gradius.
