I'm pretty sure Nintendo is ALWAYS working on the next Mario game, just like their R&D department is always working on the next console/handheld. That's how a business works.
I have seen the review version being played in split-screen mode and it is without a doubt the best looking Wii U game so far and gives both the XB1 and PS4 a run for their money. Silky smooth, incredibly detailed and fast... we're gonna love it.
@Anguspuss the Seal of Quality program has been stopped a long long time ago. Nintendo was forced to end it by the courts because third-parties claimed it was used to stiffle competition.
ive said it before: all the home consoles will face exactly the same challenges. Two out of the three major regions are still in recession. And the differences between this and the last gen aren't convincing enough people to upgrade now at considerable cost.
"Nintendo has been in the game long enough to know what does and doesn't work.".Hear hear! And Sub Wars is an excellent example. I haven't splashed out on the full version (yet?) but the game is just as enjoyable for freemium players. And because there is no entry fee, the servers are crowded and there is always a batlle waiting for you.
Back in the day, my ex-GF introduced me to Nintendo gaming by way of Super Mario Wprld but most of all Donkey Kong Country. She was way better than me and couldn't stand it when it kept making the same stupid mistakes... LOL. Those were the days!
@luke88 they say the motherboard and/or GPU are fried because the air vents got clogged up with dust. And according to them that's a user error and not covered by warranty, I wrote them a letter explaining the situation but they haven't even answered.
Way too early in my opinion. Running a couple of servers really isn't that expensive. And because Nintendo refuses to repair my Wii U i'm not too happy that they are now cutting off my old Wii from the internets. Bad move Nintendo!
@1337man1233 well i think that's a given IF the DLC proves to be selling well. Then we'll very likely see scenario packs, more historical submarines etc. I must say i am sorely tempted to get the full price version. The multi-player matches are lots of fun even though i usually quickly sink without a trace
Nintendo of Europe has always depended on local subsidiaries / partners to handle distribution & marketing. These relationships often go back a good number of years but i think they are currently reviewing all their local operations. People have gotten a bit complacent perhaps and it won't hurt to shake things up a little.
I think the USK is also responsible for those big ugly rating symbols on the front of our lovely boxes., often completely ruining a beautiful design. So unnessesary but they just force it on there. And other EU countries get the same packaging.

Re: Super Mario 3D World Double Disc Soundtrack Arrives on Club Nintendo
@mystman12 250 stars for a 3DS game, 500 stars for a full-price Wii U game

Re: Preview: Mario Kart 8
I visited Nintendo Benelux yesterday and they were demoing MK8 to some press guys. It really looks absolutely amazing and very smooth.
Re: Capcom Cuts Profit Projections By Over 50%, Despite "Strong Sales of Monster Hunter 4"
Note how "going mobile" has not solved Capcom problems but made them worse. Nintendo is very wise not to enter that market
Re: Take a Look and be Jealous of This Beautiful Monster Hunter 4 3DS XL
that's quite a simple yet attractive design. Too bad i'll never own one.
Re: Feature: Looking at the 3DS Revolution on its Third Birthday
After all is said and done, Nintendo once again proves that it is all about the games. Games make the platform, not the other way around.
Re: Steampunk Shooter Steel Empire Is Flying To North American 3DS Consoles This Summer
One of the nicer Megadrive shooters but it looks better than it actually plays.
Re: Weirdness: Tetris Multitool Changes Lives, Opens Bottles
me wants
Re: Review: Ice Hockey (Wii U eShop / NES)
One has to question this weird habit of releasing all these at best mediocre 8 bit games when there are so many gems in the Nintendo back catalog.
Re: OutRun Confirmed As The Next 3D Classic Racing to Japan
Friend of mine got the original "stand up" arcade game. Really awesome game to play, even after all those years

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the current install base for the XBox One roughly similar to the Wii U numbers?

This is the arcade game that really sucked the coins out of my pockets. Happy memories

The whole ratings business is a scam.

Re: Investor Wants Nintendo To Create Mobile Titles With Game-Altering In-App Purchases
Once Nintendo starts to take advice from hedge fund managers they are truly doomed. Thankfully that will never happen.
