Now we know what those cup icons that were discovered by some hackers are intended for. Makes you wonder if the actual DLC course data isn't already on the disc too
Pokemon Snap U would make a lot of sense. The touchpad controller is made for a game like that and it would probably draw in a lot of younger players to the platform.
I really wonder why Nintendo insists on releasing so many mediocre NES games that nobody ever asked for. Such a waste of time and effort. Put out the best 20 or 30, ditto for the SNES and then move on to the N64 and Gamecube classics.
Although the VB was indeed never released in Europe (now there's one advantage of staggered releases for ya!) there is one on display at the headquarters of Nintendo Benelux here in the Netherlands.
Hah! You can still find the odd Sonic Colours for Wii on sale for peanuts with an equally horrible "exclusive" figurine. I'll just wait till this one is priced down to 10 euro as well.
The Stamper Bros. at Ultimate Play The Game were essential in development the early British 8 bit home computer scene. They set the standard and produced 100% machine coded and original arcade quality games software when other companies were churning out really awful shovelware They were also the first Western company to notice a quirky new Japanese home console called the Famicom and the threat it posed to their existing business. They sold the Ultimate trademark to Ocean, started Rare and met the challenge.
@Geonjaha
It all depends on HOW they implement this. It would be easy to filter out opponents that have or do not have the DLC. Or they could just replace the Mercedes kart with the default kart if you don't have the DLC. There are more ways to skin a cat (or kart)
These cards really hurt the industry here in the Netherlands. You could see the NDS shelf space disappearing in all the shops and this left only a few Nintendo releases and the latest Pixar/Disney shovelware available.
I have been waiting for this update but understand how delays can happen. A couple more weeks won't matter because i've got Mario Kart 8 to keep me happy
Yet Nintendo always scores the worst in Greenpeace annual electronics report. Why? Because they don't play along with that theatre and don't submit the data Greenpeace demands.
Content is king. Amazon is a very succesful retailer but has no experience in generating the kind of high-quality content you'd need for a viable alternative to the Big Three.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Leads Nintendo Nominees in Golden Joystick Awards Voting
Zelda should pick up the best handheld game award but will probably lose out to something like Flappy Turd
Re: Register Smash Bros. on Both Wii U and 3DS and Get a Soundtrack Disc for Free
Very tempting to get both versions now
Re: Reaction: Picking Apart The New Nintendo 3DS And New 3DS XL
Certainly don't need a new XL but will just as certainly get one anyway.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Update, Mercedes Karts and DLC Pre-Orders Now Live
@TeeJay
It puts some extra money into Nintendo's coffers in this financial year instead of next year when pack #2 is released
Re: Mario Kart 8 DLC Coming In November, Features Zelda, F-Zero And Animal Crossing
Now we know what those cup icons that were discovered by some hackers are intended for. Makes you wonder if the actual DLC course data isn't already on the disc too
Re: Review: Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)
Bought this when the GBA was still current gen. What a mistake!
Re: Microsoft's Phil Spencer Lays Down Ice Bucket Challenge to Reggie Fils-Aime and Shuhei Yoshida
The Regginator is so cool, that water will freeze the moment it hits him.
Re: Talking Point: The Pokémon Trading Card Game for iPad is a Smart Move
Nintendo shares are already up on this news so investors seem to agree.
Re: Expect a 'Shocking' New Pokémon Project on 26th August
Pokemon Snap U would make a lot of sense. The touchpad controller is made for a game like that and it would probably draw in a lot of younger players to the platform.
Re: Nintendo Offers Condolences to Robin Williams' Family and Addresses Petition
The NPC could be called Mork
Re: Clever Flower Pot Lets You Plant a Pokémon Among Your Home Décor
Clever and cool

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Ambitious amiibo Plans - Pros and Cons
Pricing will be key.
Re: Skylanders Trap Team Tablet Starter Pack Poses a Fresh Challenge to Consoles
AFAIK most tablets - certainly those marketed to kids - have a rather underwhelming GPU? Wonder how this will perform.
Re: Zen Studios States That Wii U Pinball News is "Coming Soon"
How about some bug fixes first?
Re: Steel Diver: Sub Wars Gets an Upgrade to Version 3.0
send short pre-set messages? Excellent!
Re: Gallery: A Closer Look At 13 amiibo Toys
All very lovely but i don't like the poses that require support beams (like Link's).

Re: Review: Pop'n Twinbee (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)
The co-op mode is very good indeed
Re: Hacker Claims to Demonstrate an Exploit to Mod a Wii U System and Mario Kart 8
Wii U doesn't need homebrew. it is very easy now to become an offical developer and most of the Wii homebrew was really terrible anyway.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Should Beware the Slippery Slope of Sponsored DLC
If you don't like it, don't get the DLC.
Re: Review: Pac-Land (Wii U eShop / NES)
Pity.. the arcade original was quite a challenging game and sucked lots of coins from my pockets.
Re: FIFA 15 Is Lacing Its Boots For A Wii And 3DS Appearance, But Is Skipping The Wii U
Frankly, who cares about FIFA anymore? In my opinion it's just shovelware nowadays.
Re: E3 2014: Amiibo Figures Will Have A Price Tag Comparable To Skylanders And Disney Infinity Toys
If Nintendo is clever, they'd price them below the Skylanders and Disney toys.
Re: Mario Maker to Include Additional Graphical Styles, Sharing Levels is "Really The Whole Point"
I'd really like to be able to import graphics and/or sounds.

Re: Russian Phenomenon Tetris Celebrates Its 30th Birthday Today
My first Teris was a 3D version for PC that also included the classic 2D evrsion
Re: Star Fox's Iconic Blue-Marine Is Descending To Steel Diver: Sub Wars
Nice update but i'm a bit disappointed in the new Artic Circle map; it's too claustrofobic for my taste
Re: Month of Mario Kart: Clones And Alternatives to Nintendo's Classic Series
Don't forget about Street Racer, a very enjoyable kart game on SNES that's actually on a par with Super Mario Kart except for the character roster.
Re: Nintendo Announces The GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U
Applause
Re: Steel Diver Version 2.0 Delayed, Now Targeting Early June
I have been waiting for this update but understand how delays can happen. A couple more weeks won't matter because i've got Mario Kart 8 to keep me happy
Re: Poll: A Tale of Two Blockbusters as Mario Kart 8 and Watch Dogs Arrive This Week
MK8 doesn't have to "win" the weekly charts. The best Nintendo games are evergreens, they keep selling throughout a console's lifetime or even beyond.
Re: Here Are Plenty of Lovely Hyrule Warriors Screenshots at Which to Gawk
Oh yeah... me want!
Re: The Wii U Version Of Super Smash Bros. Will Utilise The NFC Nintendo Figurine Platform
I knew it! Smart move i think

Toad a human? FAIL
Re: Philips Claims Wii And Wii U Infringe Two Of Its Patents, Seeks Ban In The United States
This makes me - a Dutchman with strong ties to Philips - very very sad.

@SuperCharlie78
10/10 for sure.
Re: App Supporting 3DS Tethering With Mobile Confirmed for Japan
Smart thing to do
Re: Satoru Iwata Believes Nintendo Can Establish a "New Core Business" to Join Video Games
As far as i know, Sony and Microsoft also manage to do some other stuff so i don't see a problem.
Re: The 2014 My Famicase Exhibition Is Packed With Fascinating Flights Of Fictional Famicom Fancy
Syllabus... that's just brilliant.
Re: Satoru Iwata Announces 'Nintendo Figurine Platform' to Utilise NFC for Wii U and 3DS
Finally! I called this immediately when the Wii U was unveiled so they took a bit of time but that's OK
Re: Talking Point: What We Want To See From Nintendo's Next Handheld
They won't ditch physical media because they need the retail channel to sell their hardware and retailers won't touch a download-only console
Re: Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure Could Have Been a Nintendo Exclusive
The obvious answer is that Nintendo could be planning something similar (i'm thinking Pokémon).

Already done a couple of years ago. Google and you will find the free (!) images.
