Pokemon Snap U would make a lot of sense. The touchpad controller is made for a game like that and it would probably draw in a lot of younger players to the platform.

I really wonder why Nintendo insists on releasing so many mediocre NES games that nobody ever asked for. Such a waste of time and effort. Put out the best 20 or 30, ditto for the SNES and then move on to the N64 and Gamecube classics.

Although the VB was indeed never released in Europe (now there's one advantage of staggered releases for ya!) there is one on display at the headquarters of Nintendo Benelux here in the Netherlands.

Hah! You can still find the odd Sonic Colours for Wii on sale for peanuts with an equally horrible "exclusive" figurine. I'll just wait till this one is priced down to 10 euro as well.

The Stamper Bros. at Ultimate Play The Game were essential in development the early British 8 bit home computer scene. They set the standard and produced 100% machine coded and original arcade quality games software when other companies were churning out really awful shovelware They were also the first Western company to notice a quirky new Japanese home console called the Famicom and the threat it posed to their existing business. They sold the Ultimate trademark to Ocean, started Rare and met the challenge.

The co-op mode is very good indeed

Wii U doesn't need homebrew. it is very easy now to become an offical developer and most of the Wii homebrew was really terrible anyway.

It all depends on HOW they implement this. It would be easy to filter out opponents that have or do not have the DLC. Or they could just replace the Mercedes kart with the default kart if you don't have the DLC. There are more ways to skin a cat (or kart)

If you don't like it, don't get the DLC.

Pity.. the arcade original was quite a challenging game and sucked lots of coins from my pockets.

Frankly, who cares about FIFA anymore? In my opinion it's just shovelware nowadays.

If Nintendo is clever, they'd price them below the Skylanders and Disney toys.

These cards really hurt the industry here in the Netherlands. You could see the NDS shelf space disappearing in all the shops and this left only a few Nintendo releases and the latest Pixar/Disney shovelware available.

My first Teris was a 3D version for PC that also included the classic 2D evrsion

Nice update but i'm a bit disappointed in the new Artic Circle map; it's too claustrofobic for my taste

Don't forget about Street Racer, a very enjoyable kart game on SNES that's actually on a par with Super Mario Kart except for the character roster.

I have been waiting for this update but understand how delays can happen. A couple more weeks won't matter because i've got Mario Kart 8 to keep me happy

MK8 doesn't have to "win" the weekly charts. The best Nintendo games are evergreens, they keep selling throughout a console's lifetime or even beyond.

Yet Nintendo always scores the worst in Greenpeace annual electronics report. Why? Because they don't play along with that theatre and don't submit the data Greenpeace demands.

As far as i know, Sony and Microsoft also manage to do some other stuff so i don't see a problem.

Finally! I called this immediately when the Wii U was unveiled so they took a bit of time but that's OK

They won't ditch physical media because they need the retail channel to sell their hardware and retailers won't touch a download-only console

The obvious answer is that Nintendo could be planning something similar (i'm thinking Pokémon).

Content is king. Amazon is a very succesful retailer but has no experience in generating the kind of high-quality content you'd need for a viable alternative to the Big Three.
