Steel Empire may be a distant memory to Japanese and North American players, but Europe still doesn't have access the cult 3DS steampunk shooter.
Publisher Teyon previously stated that the game might not make the jump to the Old World, but that decision seems to have been overruled as the game is currently waiting on a USK rating, after which point it will be released in Europe.
Originally released on the Mega Drive / Genesis in the early '90s, the game was later ported to the Game Boy Advance. The 3DS version is an enhanced remake, which we happily awarded 9/10 to when it arrived in the US.

I completely forgot about this one. That's how long this had been out of the radar's reach.
Hopefully they get a fair price on this since it's arriving so late. I'm still not buying on this till it drops below 15$
@Spoony_Tech same here.
Great news! Wanted to get my hands on this for a long time. The price is pretty eye watering though.
Excellent news! I'd just about given up on this ever coming to Europe.
I had completely forgotten about that gane after hyping it for so long. Glad we're finally getting it.
"Many feared that this world be the destruction of mankind."
Better late than never...
But it's worrying, that companies are so damn slow with these inexpensive digital releases in all regions. Is it really so much of a hassle?
They already made all the translations work for the west, by releasing it in the US. So it should be the most logical thing, to release it as soon as possible in EU as well ?!?
You would think, that the companies would try to get as much out of their investment as they could, by making it available to everyone. But are the sales numbers of European E-shop games so bad, that it doesn't pay off?
Love the art work in this game.
I have the original one on the Megadrive. Apart from the gorgeous graphics, it really isn't all that special IMHO.
@pubjoe I know. That bugged me too! :0)
Long time coming looks like a good game from what I remember lol.
soooo expansive
I had the pleasure of reviewing this 30 dollar game at launch, and I can definitely say that if its cheaper than the equivalent of 30 pounds or euros, say around 15 or 20, it is worth the price. However, just like NL's review comment for 9/10 games, "if you only like racing games and this is an rpg", if you don't like retro side scrolling SHMUP`s then this probably isn't for you.
Awesome
I'm going be that obnoxious dude and comment about the other software Europe haven't yet got which definitely is a distant memory right now Flipnote Studio 3D.
Extremely overpriced game. Too bad. I really wanted to play it, but with $30 I can get almost any full retail game.
Any possibility for an Australian release?
Cool, all depends on Price though
That trailer tho.. I expected to see gameplay darnit
