MediaMarkt in the Netherlands also jacked up it's price from a very reasonable 12,99 euro to 14,99. They've been restocked this week but only with the most popular characters likecMario, Yoshi, Pikachu etc. Marth, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer or even Kirby are nowhere to be seen
MediaMarkt in the Netherlands has a "buy two, get one free" promotion for all figures, games, DVD's etc. They sell amiibo's for 12,99 euro so you get three for 26 euro.
Erik Voskuil isn't just another fan though... he has an extensive collection of pre-gaming Nintendo stuff and is probably the world's leading expert in Nintendo's early history outside the company.
They're selling alright... a large retail chain has a "buy two, get one free" deal for all amiibo, Skylanders and Infinity figures. After two days, all the amiibo in the 3 stores near to me have nearly sold out. One store had some Pikachu and Peach figures left and that was it. Glad i managed to pick up six different models before they ran out of stock.
great... i paid a lot of Club Nintendo stars for that soundtrack. And now i can't order it or anything else because im not a UK resident. Nintendo please get your act together and launch a pan-European online store
When the DS was about to be released, i received a special offer from NoE to purchase a limited edition VIP Pack with SM64 game and Metroid Hunters demo and a lovely T shirt for the same price as a regular DS. Best of all: you got your DS like two months before the official release date. Very cool!
The Hyrule and F-Zero tracks are truly amazing! The rest ain't bad either but those two really stand out. And i did not expect any of the DLC tracks to be playable online so that's a big plus. BTW: I noticed the update brought back a lot of high ranked players who had probably drifted off to Smash Bros 3DS
People never mention the fact that the Wii U has a free online service. That saves me a lot of money over the years. Xbox One and PS4 charge you to go online and it's not cheap if you're on a very tight budget.
One of the few games where the sequels are actually as good or even better than the original! DKC 1 is just a bit too difficult in parts IMHO; DKC 2 is better but DKC 3 gets everything exactly right.
HINT: if you are trying to get Nintendo to do something for you, don't start off by insulting them. Otherwise they might think your brain is seriously underpowered.
@rp17 Correct, i was talking about those clear plastic poles. Lots of Japanese anime figurines also have them and usually it just doesn't look right. And in this case (amiibo) it's not difficult to come up with a pose that doesn't require them.
@chucknorrmis
I 'm still not convinced. A couple of thousand consoles will not make them do anything. Let's say 5000 consoles times 50 bucks (and they don't make 50$ per console) makes 250.000$. That's next to nothing for a multi-national company like Nintendo and certainly not a major reason for region locking.
Oh please... how many people would actually buy a Japanese console to play import games? Even here on NintendoLife it would only be a tiny minority and i'm pretty sure that would not even offset the extra cost of implementing region locks. I sure hope this guy doesn't do any programming because his logic is seriously flawed.
My circle pad broke off after many, many hours of frantic Animal Crossing New Leaf play. But Nintendo came to the rescue and installed an entire new pad assembly, free of charge.
MK Double Dash!!, Rogue Squadron II, Waverace Blue Storm, 1080 Avalanche, WInd Waker... the list of GC classics is pretty impressive in my opinion. First home console i ever bought was a black Cube with Mario Kart. Good times!
A more substantial or higher fence would send the wrong signal and make no difference when someone really wants to enter the grounds. But you can be sure the fence is just the visible perimeter - every inch will be covered by camera, motion detectors and other electronic devices that will pick up anything before it even crosses the fence.
The NES livery looks awesome but by not including a pre-installed game they basically jacked up the price by 40$. Smart move because hardware collectors will snap this up regardless.

Re: Rumour: Villager, Marth & Wii Fit Trainer amiibo Discontinued
In Europe the amiibo have only been on the market for a little over one week. Nintendo is NOT going to discontinue some models so soon after launch.
Re: Rumour: Villager, Marth & Wii Fit Trainer amiibo Discontinued
Yep, i'm willing to bet that this is just a rumour and probably started by amiibo speculators looking to cash in quickly.

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! (Super Nintendo)
OTOH i think this one just hits the sweet spot with regards to difficulty. DKC 2 really is a bit too difficult with lots of instant death traps.
Re: Video: Super Mario Bros. Invades TV's Dancing With The Stars
This is the kind of publicity that money just can't buy. And a testament to the long-lasting cultural impact of Mario and his makers.

That limited edition is a must buy.
Re: Video: Try Not To Overheat As You Watch Excitebike Arena Footage From Mario Kart 8's DLC
@mowerdude Unlikely, unless they somehow setup waiting rooms for DLC and non-DLC owners. And repeat that for the next DLC etc. So i doubt it.
Re: Poll: Should Nintendo Follow Microsoft's Lead With A Wii U Price Cut?
Today i spotted a pack with the basic 8GB console, Wii Party U, Nintendo Life and a WiiMote for only 199 euro. So no further price drop is needed.

Please nintendo, stop with those awkward poses already. If a figure requires a support structure, it just doesn't look good.

look at the picture. The box has a European PEGI rating and a German USK rating. So the bundle is coming to Europe.
