Nintendo has teamed up with the famous fashion brand Moschino to create a new collection of items inspired by Super Mario Bros., a series which marked its 30th anniversary this year.
The collection includes T-Shirts, sweaters, bags and other accessories - including backpacks and wallets. You'll be able to pick these up from Moschino's website, as well as stores all over the world.
Here's the official PR:
Power up your holiday shopping with the coolest fashion from the Mushroom Kingdom!
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., Nintendo is announcing a new collaboration with Italian fashion brand Moschino for the new "Super Moschino" collection.
The collection includes printed T-shirts and knitted sweaters, characterized by the graphic of video game hero Mario, along with a series of colorful bags and accessories in leather, ranging from backpacks to bucket bags, and from wallets to belts - all personalized with images of Luigi, Princess Peach, coins, stars and mushrooms that appear during Mario's many adventures.
The "Super Moschino" collection will be available starting on Dec. 5 on moschino.com, at Moschino's monobrand boutiques in Milan, Rome, Paris, New York and Los Angeles, and at the world's most prestigious multibrand stores.

How racy :v (the images ofc)
Found out about this two hours ago and was totally weirded out. Definitely NOT a partnership I could see coming, but nice to see female-oriented merchandise linked to the Mario franchise. Especially considering Moschino's own slogan, "Cheap and chic".
However, being Italian myself, let me be the first to say this: Italy is weird.
There isn't a London store? Would have picked a few items up!
Wish I could get one......
Can't see any of that stuff being cheap - just seems to be targeting the sort of women who aren't going to be into Mario that much anyway. Bizarro.
Imagine a world where everybody is wearing a Super Mario t-shirt, but nobody remembers the games (like what's happened to the Ramones).
shudders
Mario with tools? That's new.
I would love to have a Super Mario Maker ladder.
@ToneDeath
Hey, ho, let's go!
Just to assure you that you're not alone.
@ToneDeath Went into a Multimedia store in South Africa last week and saw loads of Nintendo merchandise - but not a single Ninty game or console... Let's hope that your remark doesn't come to fruition worldwide... That would be a sad day...
I do not know the brand but I assume this is quite cool. I'd definitely want some well made and classy Nintendo gear but I haven't seen much of that.
Well the only connection I get is Italy, otherwise woosh I really don't get the collab.
@ToneDeath I must admit, I don't remember any of The Ramones games either...
Those Mario T-shirt will cost a few hundred dollars, the same shirt can be bought from China for $2.
Maybe they should team up next to make that poor girl some Mario pants.
Don't worry guys - when this gets localized she'll be wearing overalls.
Is she even wearing any pants
@SuperWiiU or is that a Super Mario Step Ladder?
I am really very surprised, with nintendos family friendly image, that they let that girl model their shirts without wearing any pants.
@AlexSora89 I have a "Hey, ho, let's go" badge on my Zelda bag. I feel like I'm bringing together the Ramones and Nintendo quite well!
Easy on the eyes
She needs pants.
@ToneDeath @antonvaltaz I'm pretty sure they were the team behind 'New Style Boutique 2 - Fashion Forward'. Nintendo just licensed it.
It's really cool how they've leveraged that brand power to sell all those T-shirts and stuff. Definitely one of the most influential devs.
@GloverMist
I first heard about Ramones when I saw a hooded shirt worn by a classmate of mine years ago, with an eagle emblem on it, said eagle holding a baseball bat and the phrase spelled out on the top of that piece of clothing. As for the song itself, it was used here in Italy for a late night sketch show, Sputnik. That show borrowed comedians from stand-up comedy shows Zelig (not to be confused with Woody Allen's film) and Colorado, alongside fellow sketch show Super Ciro, but differently from those three shows, Sputnik boasted a lot of black comedy in the form of fictional channels shown as skits, which reached its dark nadir with Neo Nazi Channel (a deconstruction of Nazism as a whole, showing exactly why that mentality wouldn't make sense in today's world). And Sputnik had the Ramones song as its opening.
Regardless of your knowledge of Italian, here's a sample - a fictional news channel known as Disanapianta News Channel ("Made-up News Channel"), where the news are deliberately bogus.

(I wanted to link something after such a lengthy explanation, but I couldn't find the opening of the show properly...)
@ejamer
And there goes my spleen.
Pants are so last year guys.
Seriously though, I don't know why some girls wear pants so short if you can even call it pants. At some point it's just two pairs of underwear.
Pants are stylish, pants are hip (or skirts, ya know what I'm getting at).
@GeminiSaint Super Mario Maker?
@ParkaTron I was going to mention the exact same thing. So daring, for Nintendo.
Why isn't she wearing pants?
@ToneDeath Gabba-gabba hey!
Not knowing the Moschino brand these look like the standard merch you get on the Nintendo website to me.
Still, good to see Nintendo partnering with more companies. Now let's try raising the profile of the non-Mario brands
I'll pass on the merchandise and I'll just have the lovely lady instead.
Come on, all I want is to see Nintendo partner up with Gucci!
@FriedSquid
Which reminds me of Microsoft's ads for the Xbox version of Destiny. Just look it up, explaining it would ruin a brilliant joke.
I want all of it but probably can't even afford the earrings, much less any of those handbags.
I just want to know who's modelling those clothes 😍
As a lover of fashion... This is EVERYTHING! Love it so much. And it's funny seeing some if the comments from people who aren't as... Into fashion lol.
@Kirby_Fan_DL3
Let her be!!
Luigi and Mario are still using their pants to defeat Fowel?
@ToneDeath I love the Ramones man
Make a Toad themed bag and/or wallet for man and I'll buy it.
ugh, sex sells...i guess. I haven't heard of moschino, personally.
Being tall, I really don't want anything that makes my body look long and rectangular. If it doesn't make some effort to hug my curves than I look pretty butch...which is one of the sucky thing about so many concert shirts.
