If Splatoon's Heavy Splatling and Heavy Splatling Deco aren't quite heavy enough for you, the latest addition to the arsenal could well be right up your street.
This new Splatling boasts incredible range & firepower at the cost of gulping away at your ink reserves in the blink of an eye. You'll have to manage your ink properly if you're to take advantage of this gun's awesome power in conjunction with the Splat Bombs and Echolocator that come bundled with it. Check it out in our video below!

Watching that video makes me think my blood pressure has gone down and I've been yelling and cursing a lot less since I've stopped playing ranked mode in Splatoon. Maybe I'll just stick to turf war and Spkatfests.
I've taking a liking to the Splatling guns recently, and this seems like my kind of weapon, though it would be perfect to me if it had a suction bomb instead.
OP af
@rjejr I've really only started trying ranked battles... very stressful!
The Splattling's not for me,doesn't suit my style at all.Does anyone actually find the Echolocater to be that useful? Rarely do I get splatted when an opponent uses it.
@S-Miyahon I never thought of it like that.It does make me hold back that's why I'm not getting splatted but you're right it can allow the enemy to gain back advantage if used right.I suppose it will be at its most useful in squads.
@rjejr - I'm the same. I gave myself a goal of reaching the A ranks, which I've done and it's now just the Splatfests and ranked battles once a fortnight. Too much stress is not good.
Still GOTY for me though.
Dear Nintendo! Please can we have some new In-Game Music to accompany Battling in Splatoon? ..
I play so many hours. . . . It would be nice for more variety ! Thank you!
Nice TF2 reference there mate.
@MarvinTheMartian SMM is obviously doing well, but that being nominated over Spalton for GOTY annoyed me. I'm not sure if Splatoon is GOTY, I don't know much about Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 and Batman besides their popularity, but Spaltoon over SMM is an easy choice for me. XCX will almost assuredly be my GOTY for 2016 though. Even if I don't start playing until Christmas night after my kids go to bed.
What else did Wii U have this year? Lego games and toys-to-life I know, Splatoon was May and SMM Sept, Yoshi was a different month in every region, probably not helping it's appeal, was there a Feb/March game I'm forgetting? OK checked, Kirby and Mario Party 10. Not a stellar year for Wii U, not by a long shot.
Heres the Nintendo Life list for US Wii U games in 2015.

Spaltoon should win game of year just for making the 2015 Wii U line-up palpable. Zelda U and Starfox, had they both come out as advertised in 2015, would have helped quite a bit at the end.
@OorWullie Actually, the Echolocator is one of the reasons i've been sticking with my trusted N-Zapper for all this time. It is really very useful whether you're defending or attacking. I feel blind without it now
I prefer the other Splatlings over this one, but it's always nice to have more weapon variety!
More heavy artillery! YESSSS.
Splatlings are my favorite! My raking is: Deco, Hydra, mini, regular.
Looking forward to trying this one out
