Is anyone able to comment on the size of the text in-game? It looks tiny and I'm worried I'm going to strain my eyes if I play it in portable mode.

@MindfulGamer There is a Steam demo if you Google it.

@BaronMunchausen it (N++) was £6.74. For the amount of levels and modes and even a stage creator that felt like a bargain. My 4 year old son likes the game too; he finds it hilarious running away from the missiles.

I bought N++ on sale and have been playing it ever since. So much content, amazed I hadn't heard of it before.

@Shadeon_Koopa likewise I've watched some YouTube plays (Northernlion, Pinstar) and it looks right up my street - like you I'm a huge Monster Train fan!

Fingers crossed that Thief Simulator will finally be on sale.

@Pirate1 if you've played USA you don't need a demo - it's like that but way better.

@ImagineerNik Same. Releasing DLC for Switch Kart would be like printing money, surely? Maybe adding stuff to the mobile version is easier - presumably they designed the core game with this in mind, unlike the console variant. Still frustrating as I don't care much for the mobile one.

@HalBailman Me too. I hate mirror mode - somehow I do worse than if I was racing on a totally new, unfamiliar track. With Kart my muscle memory of the tracks kicks in before my senses realise it's mirrored so it ends up less fun somehow.

New content? For one of my favourite racers? I'm on it like a car bonnet.

@Rypopo Great shout, I absolutely loved Heist. I'm a big fan of this genre and also really enjoyed Wargroove (also from Chucklefish) so I was looking forward to this one. Enjoying it so far, very neat and love the theme.

@Shadeon_Koopa I've put so much into Slay the Spire! Thought I'd go for Rise of Slime as it really got me into deck builders. But Spire seems to have this amazing balance and feels fresh even after 100 hours plus. No idea how they did it.

Glad I'm not the only one struggling with the tiny text - I raised it on the game's Discord channel. Still downloaded it after a decent demo but the battles feel very grindy and that text is actually a real problem for longer sessions. 6/10 is a fair score I'd say.

This has absolutely made my day. Love this series.

Panzer Paladin is a good shout. I bought it in the sale a few weeks back but got frustrated at the sparse checkpoints and having to re-do the big linear levels. Maybe worth another punt.

@beuiz I felt the same way. The battles felt really grindy and the pace very slow after playing Spire. I gave Quest a few tries as I wanted so much to like it - presentation is amazing and the characters are fun. But the deck building is too slow and limited for me.

I loved the last game from Chucklefish, Wargroove. This looks fun, dammit and appears at the same time as Rise of the Slime. No time for all of this great strategy gaming!

Just downloaded the demo; nice thus far but the text is waaaay too small for me to play it on handheld. And there doesn't seem to be an option to embiggen the font like in Spire.

@Znake Sorry that sounds hideous. These innovations are nice and all but what I want for Kart is more tracks, nice graphics, great handling, tonnes of online options. Let's not mess around with fancy gimmicks - look what happened with Star Fox.

@Daniel36 I thought the same thing! This is just that game that's always on sale for 99p. Pity the poor fool who pays full price (for the 5 minutes that it is at full price)

I'm all over this after getting hooked on Slay the Spire and Nowhere Prophet.

It looks unbelievably good. I have Mudrunner on Switch and I love it. Hopefully they can improve on some of the quality of life features like navigation and variety of missions.

Everything looks like bloody Fortnite now. I can't help seeing these kind of games with suspicion, like they're trying to rinse me of cash for costume upgrades and so on.

Nice one, it's a brilliant game that deserves to do well. I had it on Wii U and havent convinced myself to part with 50 large to do it again, but I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point as I'm a chump.

Online matches may be empty but the time trials (online leaderboards) are competitive and will keep you coming back for more. It's a terrific throwback to Daytona and Ridge Racer. Agree that the AI is a sod though.

@johnvboy You're right, I forgot about those. Didn't buy either, that's why they must have slipped my mind! This year the indy releases really kept me going.

@Vsaxo27 plus one vote for Dicey Dungeons, absolutely loving it, and I'm someone with very little patience. From this list I got Good Job which was great for co-op with the missus!! Fantastic fun.

I couldn't resist. Thought Slay the Spire would get me through the Chrimbo break but this just looked like too much fun. Spire + Yahtzee = Perfect

That "Secret Commands" star on the European one is awful. And whats "secret" about it? They've declared it on the front and in the manual!

Left off Nowhere Prophet. Just downloaded it in the sale and it's a fascinating game. A deck builder with an interesting Mad Max style narrative. Tough as nails and seemingly underrated (not even a review on this site).

@HalBailman F Zero Ultimate is the best idea I've heard in a while, especially if it's based on F Zero X. Nintendo don't pay this franchise enough attention, presumably because it never made enough money. I still dig out X every now and then on my old N64 - what a fantastic game, still holds up today.

There are almost as many 2D metroidvanias on Switch as Nintendo have ways of selling us the original Mario Bros.

@PuddleStink "...instead of another rock hard Metroidvania or platformer." This game is neither (although I too am sick of Metroidvanias). It actually reminds me of FTL combined with Overcooked. I think it looks interesting, and I love a strategy game. I'm still finishing Steamworld Heist and Mini Metro.

I'd kill for some Kart 8 DLC. Cant be bothered with the phone one.

I'm smashing Steamworld Heist after I picked it up for a criminally low price in the eShop sale. It's unbelievably good! Might have to try Quest after I'm done.

1. Fix Bowling's controls because I HATE THEM.
2. Make Tanks like the Wii Play one, with more levels.
3. More 4 player games

@rockodoodle Me too. "Open World" gets a bit aimless for me but still a tonne of fun.

Please let it happen. FIFA has never been the same, particularly the lesser versions we get on Switch. The old Pro Evos on Wii were fantastic and going back even further I loved ISS on SNES and N64. Surely it's worth the investment given the huge user base of the Switch now.

@Krambo42 I learnt to play Backgammon for the first time using this game! Have been meaning to learn it for a long time. Also learnt Shogi which is like chess but subtly different. That's been my favourite aspect of 51 Worldwide Games, learning the new games.

@San_D Was considering Dead Cells as a lot of people rave about it. That might just tempt me.

@San_D Me too on Hollow Knight. My last attempt at a metroidvania and unfortunately I found it dull. Glad I'm not the only one!
@SoManyHaveDied I tried the Invisigun demo on a whim and absolutely loved it. Good example of demos working to get you to try games you'd otherwise not go for. Bought the full version (and joined the Discord) - it's so underrated, and full of content.
