I bought it based on the Nintendolife review and played it at hospital whilst waiting up with my newborn boy. Such good memories and such a fantastic game.
@Mountain_Man Thanks. Also a consideration as I've run out of internal memory so will finally need to get an SD card. Or maybe I'll archive Hollow Knight as I just can't be arsed with it.
Loved Top Gear, especially the soundtrack. When I read it was the same composer my interest was piqued. Once I'm done with Into The Breach I'll give this a shot.
Happy with this, thanks EA. I've played a tonne of FIFA 18 on Switch after initially not really liking it (I'm a huge PES fan). It has a good atmosphere and manager mode is great.
@BARSAMAN Thanks man, yeah getting on a bit now! I remember playing the Simpsons arcade in a Florida hotel with my brothers while my parents sat by the pool...seems so long ago!
Looks brilliant. We're long overdue a new one of these - far too many 2D "metroidvania" types clogging up the eShop. I used to spend ages playing 2 player Turtles in Time, Streets of Rage and even that Simpsons arcade game.
@KeeperBvK Ooh I love a bit of grammar pedantry. I was going to stand up for poor Jon:
"...Finnish developer 10tons has brought its second sports related..." "...there really isn't enough to differentiate it from its predecessor." "...and chaotic outcomes of its tennis-based relative." "...are virtually the same as its prequel..." "...but aside from the fact that it's portraying different sport..."
@OorWullie It is weird right - what's with all the "ROM hack" comments @YamAsereht? Almost as dull as all that 60FPS b*llocks people whinge on about. Almost.
Absolutely brilliant, especially for the low price over Chrimbo. And so many (local and online) multiplayer options. Other developers should take note! @Nincompoop, couldn't give a stuff about 60FPS or whatever when it plays this good.
@Socrfan I read that as well. I was just a little dubious - "from scratch" to me is a blank sheet of paper, when clearly this wasn't. Of course I could be wrong.
Oh good God YES. I had Burnout 2 on Cube and it was one of my favourite ever games. Also loved Need for Speed on Wii U which I think was by some of the same guys? Anyway, really hope this happens!
@Socrfan A new O/S doesn't necessarily mean a new game engine (hence when a game is "ported" to a new console or Windows etc). I have played both Switch and Wii U versions and they do seem very similar in feel so it wouldn't surprise me if there was some re-use from that code.
My career mode game gas just reported that my team (Millwall) have just won the playoffs and gained promotion even though I have a) not been promoted yet, and b) haven't started the playoffs. Also the difficulty jumps too far when you go from Amateur to the next one up (Pro). Which was a problem with the Wii U game also. Which leads me to believe that this is based on the Wii U game engine.
NINTENDO: Here, we've released a new console, the Switch.
EVERYONE: throws away Wii U
Later on...
EVERYONE: God I hope they release all the old Wii U games on Switch.
Seriously what's the big deal with buying the back catalogue of old games? If they were that good you wouldn't have thrown them away.

I was interested when I read "Metal Slug" but then I saw "Metroidvania" and my eyes glazed over.

Into The Breach awarded, well deserved - total surprise for me and one of my favourite games.
Re: Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet's First Trailer Shows Exclusive 'Soft 4D' Joy-Con Feature On Switch
God dammit it's a game with some boobs in it, get some perspective people. Movies and music videos have been sexualized for years.

@Mountain_Man how big is the download?

Re: '90s Football Stars Is Sprinting Onto Switch In All Its VHS-Filtered Glory
Please tell me that stupid VHS effect is just for the trailer? Looks good apart from that!
Re: Nintendo Has Created An Official Charging Stand For The Switch
That built-in kickstand is such crap. Why is it off-centre? I love the Switch as a console but that is such a strange design choice.
Re: FIFA 18's Free World Cup Mode Arrives On May 29th
Happy with this, thanks EA. I've played a tonne of FIFA 18 on Switch after initially not really liking it (I'm a huge PES fan). It has a good atmosphere and manager mode is great.
Re: Feature: Hands-On With Raging Justice, The Streets Of Rage Successor Your Switch Deserves
@AirElephant You may be right. Looked good from the trailer but i had my nostalgia specs on.

Damn it actually looks really good. I'm struggling for time as it is trying to finish Celeste and Mario Oddessey. First world problems huh.
Re: Review: Baseball Riot (Switch eShop)
@Eigotaku Hey no problem, always enjoy reading the articles here and none of us are perfect!

So close.
Re: D3 Publisher Primes A Salvo Of Switch eShop Titles
@Krull That's a great idea, I'd love to see a follow up to Golf Story with another sport. Tennis would be a good one, but also maybe pool or football.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE But then we wouldn't get a load of informative "nothing for me" comments below the line.

@Eddyson Is that a question?
Re: Design Your Dream Subway in Mini Metro on Switch Next Year

@BYTZ007 HAY you, that was great, you win. I suggest we LEAVE it there, it must be well PASTURE bedtime. If you think of any more puns, LETTUCE know.
Re: Review: Farming Simulator: Nintendo Switch Edition (Switch)
@Mr_Pepperami I'm glad its not a load of CROP. They could COMBINE it with a petting zoo simulator. I might PIG this one up.
FARM.
Re: Super Mario Maker Updates Are Now Live
@WiiUSwitcher Switch does have a touchscreen so you could still design levels.
