Horizon Chase Turbo Teases A Brand New Expansion

This one was one of my lockdown games, really good. Will get back to this if we are getting new content.

Looking forward to it, I love this game. My only issue is that it seems to freeze quite often in splitscreen multiplayer. When I play with my sister about 1 in 10 races are interrupted by a freeze and we're forced to reboot through the Switch menu. Very annoying

New content? For one of my favourite racers? I'm on it like a car bonnet.

Fantastic game! Can't recommend enough for fans of old school racers like Top Gear and Outrun. Plus it has so much content with a massive world tour mode and the soundtrack is just fantastic.

I do wish they would do an update to give it online play though, that would be amazing.

Fun game, but crashes frequently in multiplayer. Spoils it a bit.

@TheWingedAvenger Personally, I love the graphics and don’t think they remind me of mobile games at all.

Nintendo should take notice. This is how you show your appreciation to gamers that spend their hard earned money on their games (MK8). We have gotten more free DLC for this game, and very inexpensive DLC as well, and it has made this game so worth it. Nintendo couldn't be bothered to throw us one free track for mk8.

@San_D I agree. I think I'll start this again! What a game. Imagine if Nintendo gave us something for free in mk8? Not even a track in all these years. Disappointing.

Great game. I still play it often. My only suggestion is to race tracks in reverse direction. I hate mirror mode. I hate it all racing games, including Mario Kart. Only Gran Turismo I know of does reverse mode. It's weird that other games don't.

@HalBailman Me too. I hate mirror mode - somehow I do worse than if I was racing on a totally new, unfamiliar track. With Kart my muscle memory of the tracks kicks in before my senses realise it's mirrored so it ends up less fun somehow.

@somebread That was my first thought, too. Not entirely sure how that would work.

Any free update to HCT is welcome, though. This is an amazing game.

I love an arcade racer and somehow managed to miss this one entirely. Just managed to pick up a physical copy for 15 quid. Looking forward to it.

Edit: Listening to the soundtrack on Spotify now. It is incredible.

@Joe-b Nintendo doesn't even release paid DLC for Mario Kart, I don't know why. And Nintendo are the last publishers I'd expect to give away stuff. I won't say more, Nintendo Ninjas may come after me.

I am still playing this game on my Vita, but I doubt they will release the DLC for it. The physical cartridge was released for the Vita a couple months ago.

Niiiice! Great racing game, I recently completed the world tour with all the super trophies! This expansion should be great! Got this game on sale for $6 and it’s been an amazing value purchase. Is the expansion free or paid DLC? Either way this is good news!!

@The_Pixel_King I think first clips are Suzuka (with the big wheel and the bridge) but yeah it’s definitely the Monaco tunnel! Nice. Maybe it will be all the classic F1 circuits?

Had no idea they had a physical release for Switch. Lucky you! Mind you I don’t reside in Europe, so not sure about any North American releases regarding physical. Hope it’s a meaty expansion!
