I'd be all over this on Virtual Console. I loved Super NES Mystical Ninja and would love a new entry in the series. Come on Konami give us this (and Pro Evo Switch while you're at it).

@BionicDodo You're right it's looking a little more encouraging than Wii U. I was thinking its tough being both a sports fan and a Nintendo fan. First world problems right?

I would like to buy this game.

I like 2D side scrollers as much as the next man (and can't resist a bit of Kirby) but you have to admit you can't move for them on Nintendo consoles. Especially on Wii U when, toward the end, there was bugger all else on the console (I might have to do a pie chart or something to back this up). I'm not just talking platformers, but side scrolling "adventures" like Trine and bloody "Metroidvania" games. What Nintendo consoles "need" (to continue from @gaterboi352) I think is some diversity. Some sports games. Some driving games.

Give us PES for crying out loud.

It's not the straps that bother me, it's getting the damned plastic strip unattached. Really fiddly, so much so that I rarely bother with them.

@Pahvi Yeah I count golf. But that's one game. Current count is 9 Neo Geo beat 'em ups. NINE. But my beef is with the Switch line up in general. Wii U ended up having no diversity and I hope we see a bit more variety on Switch. Indications thus far aren't great though.

No diversity in these releases. I agree with a previous poster - where is Super Sidekicks? Or any sports game for that matter? All these beat 'em ups and clever 2d platformers... This console is going to end up like the Wii U.

I keep seeing Soul Axiom and thinking it's Axiom Verge, so I was excited at first at seeing the discount. How come there are suddenly two titles with "Axiom" in the title?

Actually looks pretty good. Would love this on Wii U, but that would mean an actual sports game on that console.

@norwichred I agree. No new tracks is a bit of a rip off considering a lot of people getting a Switch will be Wii U owners. So far the software for Switch is a tad underwhelming.

For the record I'd choose Cosmic Spacehead. Brilliant Codemasters game.

First year in a long time where I've had nothing Nintendo for Christmas. Couldn't get a NES Classic, nothing on Wii U, just bloody Pokemon on 3DS. I actually considered getting an XBox to play the new Pro Evo or anything other than a clever platform/adventure/metroidvania game. Can't wait for Switch but it's been a TERRIBLE year for Nintendo.

Damn, I clicked because I thought this might be that rare thing - a driving game on a Nintendo console! But no, it's some frogger clone. Great.

Huge fan of the series, had World on N64. Hope this makes it to a console.

Top question on any Wii U game on Amazon is "will this game work on my Wii?" People are idiots, they need it spelling out for them IN CRAYON. This is a different console. I don't think Nintendo ever really smashed that concept home to the mainstream. Still, some fantastic games for the rest of us.

No motion controls was a huge plus for me. Unless they're 100% intuitive, like Wii Bowling or Tennis, motion controls are no less abstract than a button press and, in my opinion, utterly pointless.

I hope there's a decent, mechanical 'off' button. I don't know about anyone else but sometimes it's like I have to beg the Wii U to switch off. You have to catch it at the right time.

@jariw Well damn me all to hell. It does look good. But what I'd give for a new footy game, or realistic driving game, or anything in that genre to supplement this dearth of interesting 2 (or 2.5!) D platformer puzzler type games on Wii U.

Love the game though.

Loved every minute of the main game - my favourite digital title since "And Yet It Moves" - and now working through the additional content. The new levels are very hard. Is it worth replaying the remastered main game if you've already finished it?

@AurumonadoIl I totally agree with that. You've reminded me of Mario Baseball on Cube, what a great game that was. And I was never really into baseball.

Why with the wealth of games still yet to be unreleased on VC do we get a version of a game already available? Inexplicable.

@TTGlider I'm still playing PES 2013 today, it's the best football/soccer game I've ever played (and I've played them all). A Wii U version could attain perfection with touch-screen tactics, share-able replays on Miiverse, updatable (DLC) team rosters and a deeper, statistic-filled Master League. I can only dream...

Agreed @rastamadeus, Death Race was amazing. I loved that they realised that nudging other drivers was fun enough to get its own mode. GX was great but it got too hard; F-Zero X had the right balance. A remake would be most welcome.
