I'll never fully get my head around the logic of so many people buying FC25 last week when FC26 is right around the corner.

I get that it's probably on sale..... maybe it's just me but I always prefer to have the newest version (of anything) if and when available

I skipped last year's FC25 so quite looking forward to this one.

I normally always buy on PS5 but pending actual reviews I do intend to get it for my Switch 2 this year

After all they did to celebrate Mario's 35th anniversary I'd be very surprised if they don't do something special for the 40th.

Traditionally turning 40 is a much bigger event than turning 35.

What they could do though is anybody's guess. With the recent release of Donkey kong bananza I'd be surprised to see a new 3D Mario game any time soon.

I'd be happy with a re master of Mario Galaxy 2 to keep us going

I'm not really interested in this particular game but I read the review with genuine interest as I'm planning to get FC26 for my Switch 2 instead of PS5.

All sounds reasonably promising to be fair

I'm not in the US (UK) but I did buy one.

It was £75 which is the same price as a spare set of Joy Cons.

Never owned a Pro controller before with previous Nintendo consoles but very happy with my purchase

It definitely is a tough one, it's been a good 15 years or more since I played it properly and 100 percented it.

Memory is a little vague as it was so long ago but I seem to remember thinking id completed it only to then unlock a secret outer space area

As is the case with all the other apps, SNES, NES, N64 etc........ there's probably only a handful of titles that I'll ever realistically play.

As the games files get bigger it would be helpful to not have space taken up by a big list of games when I may never touch 70% of them

As some who kind of missed out on the Game Cube ere due to being in my early 20's and being out drinking / socialising etc...... I am enjoying being able to get a 2nd chance with these games.

The only Game Cube games I've really put any time into are Mario Sunshine and Mario double dash, I played them both via backwards compatibility on my Wii

Brilliant game, I actually bought it on PS5,

I'm by no means a trophy hunter (in fact I think people who refuse to play games that don't have trophies are seriously warped in the head) but I did feel a small tingle of excitement when I received my first ever Platinum trophy by playing this game

If this game is even half as good as Oddessy it can still consider itself a masterpiece

In fairness, as a general rule I do tend to read reviews before investing in a game but if there's ever a game franchise I feel perfectly safe to buy without a review it's definitely Mario Kart.

I already know that it will be quality and and I'll enjoy many many years of good service from it

People are obviously entitled to still read reviews and believe what they wish but I'd like to think most (sensible) people already know what they're getting from a Mario kart game

Yes I do have one (and very happy with it I am too) but I was looking at it from the perspective that 3 weeks isn't really a long time.

If in let's say, 3 months time the situation remains the same then fair enough but for now maybe just show a little bit of patience

Oooh yes please this is really good news.

I've never played this particular one, I did enjoy the Wii equivalent and from what I gather this game is actually better so will definitely be giving this one a go.

Since picking up my Switch 2 I've been toying with the idea of picking up EA Sports FC25 (it was on sale a few weeks ago for £15)..... in the end I decided to leave it and wait for the new one in September.

I'm glad I did now, hopefully this can fill the void.

Before anyone feels the need to point out the obvious to me.... I'm very much aware that FC26 and Mario Strikers are 2 very different types of Football games lol

It can be very handy in the right circumstances

Having never played the current 3 games before getting a Switch 2.... I can't say I've noticed.

Maybe it's just me but if I ever bought a 2nd hand console I'd always try to buy it from a reputable retailer that will give you a receipt and a proper returns policy.

At a push I'd consider buying one from a close friend or relative that I trust.

As for buying one off some random "trust me Bro" dude online....... absolutely no chance

I think 50 is more than enough (although I'm sure they will add more in time)

Sometimes simplicity can be better than an endless list of characters to choose from

I'm a firm believer that there's no right or wrong way to buy games, everyone's circumstances will be slightly different.

Personally I'll never completely abandon physical games, but after many many years of being completely against buying digital, I have reached a point where I can definitely appreciate the benefits of them (in certain circumstances)

As long as we get at least one New proper 3D Mario game throughout the Switch 2 life span I don't mind waiting for it.

If the prediction is correct I wouldn't be surprised if they repackaged Super Galaxy 2 or something like that to tide us over.

I'd be a relatively easy filler for them if they needed a big Christmas holiday release

I've always been a fully fledged member of the physical society myself in the past but I am slowly starting to convert and "Move with the times"

If I'm honest it's probably the likes of PS plus and Xbox Game pass that have changed my thinking.

Having a selection of games downloaded on to your console of choice and not having to get up out of your seat to change discs or cartridges is extremely convenient now that I'm getting slightly older (and lazier)

I genuinely wonder just how the hell they do it.

This is exactly why I was in no desperate rush to get an SD card.

256gb is plenty to be going on with if Nintendo keeps pumping out similar file sizes

For any UK Switch 2 owners interested in getting this it's currently on Pre order in Smyth's for £35.

It's only a code in the box I believe but still for £35 .......

Yeah similar situation for me. I played both Mario Sunshine and Mario Kart Double Dash via backwards compatibility on my Wii but other than that I don't have many many memories of playing any GC games.

As mentioned in my OG post, it wasn't anything personal against the Game Cube, it was just a time of my life when it past me by.

From the PSWii60 era onwards though I've pretty much owned every console that the big 3 have pumped out

Switch 2 owners need to have a few perks to justify the money they've spent on a new console

Unfortunately like it or not, Game cube games are one of them

The Game Cube is the one Nintendo console I never really got into.... it released at a time in my life when I was out socialising and drinking with friends and girls so wasn't massively into Video gaming in general for a couple of years.

I did have a PS2 at the time but even that didn't get too much love.

I guess I just don't have the same Nostalgic memories as I do with the SNES and N64. Then later on with the Wii

That said I am enjoying being able to sample the Games on my Switch 2

In principle I do agree and understand what you're saying.... Unfortunately though that's just the way modern consoles are.

The Switch 2 is basically just a better Switch in the same way that a PS5 is just a better PS4

I'm not defending Nintendo, just pointing out that's it's the same for all consoles.

Unfortunately it's an expensive hobby, one that probably won't get any cheaper any time soon.

The good thing is that the games won't be going anywhere, so when the time is right for you to get a Switch 2, DK Bonanza (and hopefully a whole load more Switch 2 exclusive games) will be there waiting for you

To counter your post I believe it's a good thing being Switch 2 exclusive. Sometimes people need an insensitive to upgrade to the "next gen"

I was lucky enough to get hold of a PS5 day one and it really used to infuriate me when they released the vast majority of the games on both PS5 and PS4.

Id spent all that money on a new console and it really annoyed me that I could have probably just played most of the games on my PS4 (albeit maybe not as pretty looking)

My point is that those who have paid out for a Switch 2 deserve some form of exclusivity.

I don't mean that in an Elitist way but there definitely needs to be an incentive to get people to upgrade regardless of whenever it technically could run on the old hardware

On paper it looks great but I'm going to wait for the official Nintendo Life review before making my final decision.

At this point I'm probably 95% sure I'll be getting it, also if and when I do I'll be getting it digitally.

The only slight reservation I have is the fact that I absolutely hated Donkey Kong 64 which as far as I'm aware was the last 3D DK game

Mine is mainly used for Racing games and FC25, I know some of them could be purchased on the OG Switch but I'm a bit of a graphics whore so I preferred to have the prettiest looking versions

I've no particular interest in most Sony exclusives... Although I did enjoy Astro Bot

I know what you mean, at one point I actually owned all 3 and it was kinda overwhelming, almost too much choice.

One had to go and I decided to sell the Series X

Unless you're a child that relies on gifts from parents I dare say most people will probably own both systems (you'll get the odd strange person who has an Xbox instead of a PS5 ---- joking) but for most it's probably not an either or situation.

I love both my consoles equally

I managed to pick one up. First time I've ever purchased a Pro controller of any kind.

I have to say I'm very impressed with it... it has a very premium feel to it.

Saying that so do the new Joy Cons, they make a lovely satisfying click when you magnetically attach them to the Switch or the Joy Con grip

I'm a bit of a completionist when it comes to getting 3 stars for every cup.... as usual 50cc is a little too easy and can be a little bit boring when you're in 1st place pretty much all the time.

Still thought it's a good way to learn the new tracks and I'm confident it'll be a lot more interesting and more challenging when I move up to 100cc

I haven't tried online yet as I want to get a proper feel for all the new tracks before I venture into that

This is basically the Switch Pro that everyone was expecting a few year back.

It's essentially a bigger, better, sexier Switch and that's fine with me.

They didn't need to re invent the wheel and thankfully they haven't tried too

Only reason I can think of to own one is if you're planning on going on holiday and want a convenient way to take a load of games with you

It does look a bit sharper but nothing ground breaking.

But then again we are just talking about a little performance boost, not a full on remaster of the game

I will be getting an SD card at some point but as I mainly only plan to use it for Nintendo 1st party games (not exclusively but mainly) I don't think I'll need one for a while.
