Re: Super Mario Sunshine Is Now 18 Years Old

I remember having it and didn't like it as much as Mario 64. I remember certain levels felt more frustrating than fun

I foolishly sold it along with my game cube a long long time ago. Its only now looking back that I regret selling it.

Probably due to the fact that it's just about the only Mario game you can't play unless you happen to have an old game cube knocking around (or a mk1 Wii of course but you'd still need a gamecube controller)

I really hope that I'd does get a remake as I'd definitely love to try it again

As good as burnout paradise is is refuse to pay full price for something I can get for half the price (or probably less if I take the time to look) on other consoles.

I hope it sells well and will be happy to be proved wrong but I think they've left it too late. It should have launched at the same time as it did on ps and xbox

Re: How Well Do You Know Mario?

Almost ashamed to say I only got 3 correct.

Disappointed with myself as I pride myself on being a mario fan since the late 80's

I am rather hung over from celebrating ve day yesterday with the neighbours (socially distant of course) so I'm using that as my excuse

Agh the 27th October 2017. The day this game released

I remember secretly booking the day off work simply so I could spend the whole day playing it.

My Daughter hadn't started school back then so I took her round to my mums for the day and pretended to go off to work.

I still don't feel guilty about doing that to this day.

A new main series Mario game doesn't come along that often and boy was this one worth the wait

@ancientlii

Very true.

That's my one small criticism of the Switch in that I don't really have anywhere suitable to stand it. (probably more down to my own set up in fairness)

I can't stand it in front of the TV because it's too big and obscures my view of the TV.

It wont fit on the shelf underneath along side my PS4 and Wii U because it's too tall. I've ended up having to stand it out of view just slightly behind the TV.

Having ports on the back of the dock only really adds to my problems haha

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 - 4 were some of the finest games ever made in my opinion. Still very playable today albeit looking a bit rough around the edges by todays standards. Just thinking about them give me very fond memories of my teenage years.

If a new games meets the standards of those games then I'd be all for it.

I'm not sure why but I didn't really care much for the later more open world games such as Under Ground, American Wasteland and Proving ground. I think I preferred the 2 minute time limit with a set of goals to complete style games

Remember all the uproar when we were told it wouldn't have Netflix or a Web browser?

Well It still hasnt and seems to have done just fine without them.

Would it be nice if it had them? Sure but for me the Switch was and always will be about playing games.

Thankfully Nintendo knocked it out of the the park this time with a clear message about what the console was (I'm talkin about you Wii U) and a good solid line up of must have games within the first 12 months and beyond
