Not really the best comparison. If you buy a game digitally it's still yours to play whenever you want in the same way a physical copy would be.

Streaming a film is slightly different as you don't own it, usually it'll be part of a subscription service.

Just an FYI I do buy probably 95% of my games physically. Mainly because they're cheaper and if I don't like the game (or simply when I've finished with it) I can sell it on or trade it in towards my next purchase.

@Assassin166

I don't disagree with you regarding quality. In my defense I don't really watch a lot of Movies and those that I do watch tend to be a case of 1 and I'm done. I no longer feel the need for a big collection of films I may or may not watch once in a blue Moon.

Don't get me wrong I do still have a few classics on Blu-ray from my childhood that I'd never part with, Back to the Future trilogy, Leathal weapon just to give you a few examples.

At home we have Sky Movies, Netflix, Amazon prime and Disney plus and if after all of that I'm still struggling to find something to watch I have IPTV on my Fire stick which allows me to watch virtually anything I want.

I reached a point in my life where less clutter and more space was more valuable to me than a cool collection of DVD's and Blu-rays

Re: Talking Point: So, When Will Nintendo Announce Its Next Console?

As long as they don't balls it up like they did with the Wii U and make your average Joe in the street think it's some sort of accessory and not an actual new console then I don't really mind.

They don't need to reinvent the wheel on this one, the Switch is already basically the perfect blend of Home console and handheld. Just give it more power under the hood so that developers can easily port over the games they're making for the PS5 and Xbox series everything's and possibly an improved or updated controller

Given the fact that the Super Mario Movie releases this year I'd be absolutely amazed if we don't get a new Mario game to compliment it (although probably later in the year of course)

We're definitely due a new one. I'd prefer a 3D one but would happily take a 2D one if offered

I know nothing has been announced yet but I really hope we're getting a new Mario game next year to compliment this Movie.

Mario Oddsey is 5 years old now so we're definitely due one.

I'm pretty sure there will be one in development but I've a feeling it will be saved for the Switch 2 or whatever they decide to call it ( probably Switch U knowing Nintendo)

The Wii U.........Probably my biggest gaming disappointment

In theory it seemed a cool idea but after Nintendo Land it seemed even Nintendo themselves didn't really know what to do with that gamepad.

Until they released Mario Maker of course which was perfect for the Gamepad but unfortunately by that point it was too late to save the console.

It did have it's fair share of brilliant games but the majority of them have since been ported to Switch so just my opinion but I don't feel there's any reason to go back to it in 2022

Re: Retailer Leak May Have Revealed Full List Of Games In Atari's Anniversary Collection

Member_the_game

I used to have an Atari ST (that was my first entry into video games before getting a SNES)

Watching that video I didn't see many games that I remembered. Could be that alot of the games I had were 3rd party with licensing issues.

With Nintendo Switch online I do obviously have access to all the NES, SNES and N64 games and alot of them (not all) have aged terribly.

I've a feeling it would be the same with this collection. Out of 90 games maybe 1 or 2 might be half decent but the rest will have aged badly. Unless you've real strong childhood affiliations for the listed games of course
