Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate GameCube Controller Getting Restocked (Japan)

@-wc- No, I'm not. One of the great things the SNES controller pioneered was lining up the run/shoot button with the jump button at the proper angle for your thumb to hit both comfortably at the same time. Even the awkward N64 controller kept this. The GameCube controller, which is the only console controller in 30 years to abandon this form, is horrible for platformers, 2D or 3D, for this reason.

@-wc- The only thing it works for are games built for it. Games built for it work fine on other controllers. Games built for standard controllers play terribly on it. The d-pad is garbage, the c-stick is inferior to any other second stick, it lacks a second set of REAL shoulder buttons, the z button is ATROCIOUS, and the face button layout is a joke. The oversized 'win' button makes using any other button uncomfortable. The only good thing about it is the analog shoulder buttons, which Nintendo abandoned.

@MetalKingShield How was there a dissapointed reaction to Twilight Princess? Certainly not on Nintendo's end. It was the best selling Zelda game until BotW. If anything, it was an overcorrection from the failure of Windwaker in the US, which is still the only Zelda game that sold worse in the US than Japan.
