Re: NBA 2K21's Legend Edition Will Pay Tribute To The Late Kobe Bryant

I mean, I think it's a great idea to commemorate someone who passed away by putting them on the cover a of videogame that people will continue to play for years. However, the fact that this is only for a higher priced variant is practically disgusting, as they are literally cashing in on a famous person's death to make higher profit than they already do from their yearly rehashes.

Re: Pokémon Café Mix Is A Free-To-Start Game Coming To Switch And Mobile Next Week

MasterJay

At this point, with everyone complaining about the mainline games, I almost wish they would stop with so many mobile spinoffs. And I know they don't necessarily divert resources into these over the mainline ones, as other studios probably make this stuff, but the amount of them feels close to oversaturation. I wish they would spend more time on these at least, and turn them into full fledged games.

Re: Review: Minecraft Dungeons - A Simple Action RPG That Relies Too Heavily On The Minecraft Name

MasterJay

I have the game on both PC and Switch, and while the frame rate does have a few dips every once in a while, it hasn't really impacted the gameplay at all, and I've only really noticed them in handheld. My friends and I played 4 player co op docked and the performance seemed fine. Overall, I've been enjoying the game a lot, and it's entertaining both playing alone and co op, though the fact there is only 10 stages, with 2 missions each, is somewhat disappointing. But Mojang has promised free updates, the first DLC alone has 3 new stages, and as someone said, Mojang doesn't drop games, so by the end of its life, there'll be a lot to do in dungeons.

Re: Talking Point: Has Animal Crossing Finally Made The Nintendo Switch Online App Worthwhile?

MasterJay

@mesome713 Microsoft and Sony both have apps for their respective consoles. Can't speak for the Playstation one, but the Xbox one allows you to message and call friends, invite them to games, and control your console, among other features. And it's free and available to everyone with a Microsoft account, where as Nintendo's lackluster app is only available to subscribers to its online service. I like some of the features it has, and most of the game specific services are great, but it's missing a lot, and has gotten no significant updates besides complicated voice chat for additional games, and two new game services, which isn't a lot.

Re: Minecraft Dungeons Is Out Today On Switch, Here's The Launch Trailer

MasterJay

Just installed it on my PC. Know many reviews are currently stating the game is too short, and the campaign isn't that long, but they expect you to do multiple run throughs at three separate difficulty levels, with each one unlocking new secret areas and gear, so there is more gameplay than most reviews are currently stating.

Re: Video: How Nintendo Influenced My Grade School Life

I've made a bunch of stuff, though most of it has been more recent. Made this (https://www.reddit.com/r/Breath_of_the_Wild/comments/bvc638/made_this_little_guy_from_soapstone/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x)
korok last year for an art class, and I remember drawing a really awful picture of Mario riding Yoshi after playing Super Mario Galaxy 2

Re: How Well Do You Know The Legend Of Zelda?

MasterJay

9/10 Somehow I managed to forget about a link to the past. I learned about the Dragmire thing when reading about what people were naming their Ganon Horses in botw, and someone had named theirs Dragmire, after that, and I liked it so I went with it as well

Re: Nintendo Switch Is 'Barely In The Middle' Of Its Life Cycle

@SwitchForce "you don't need eye candy games to be top Dog"
Or rather, you don't need top dog hardware to have eye candy games. Some of the switch's games are absolutely gorgeous (looking at botw and luigi's mansion 3), and Nintendo constantly shows just how much can be done with weaker hardware. Even though, I'm still looking forward to a more powerful revision.
