Re: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Is Now Set For Spring 2022

@Warioware Those rumors are pretty much all made up. The whole “Lucasfilm Civil War” narrative has just been used by clickbait youtubers for the past couple years to the point that many people believe it. There isn’t any evidence of this actually happening, and from everything Dave and Jon have said, Kennedy has been a huge help in everything related to the mandalorian. This was even reiterated today in the making of the Mando finale episode on Disney+. A lot of people paint Kennedy as the villain for the sequels, though she also was a producer on all the good stuff Disney has made as well. While I enjoy the sequels, I can admit that there was a total lack of coordination among them. They were still financial successes though, and the general public would be completely lost if they ever removed them from canon, so I guarantee it won’t happen.

Re: UK Newspaper Comes Under Fire For Hinting That Video Games Are "The Next Global Pandemic"

I’d argue that social media addiction is much worse than video games. The only game I’ve ever regretted sinking long periods of time into is fortnite, which borders the ideas of a social media platform. Social media is a rabbit hole of wasted time for the most part, in my opinion. I think it’s great in moderation, but it’s incredibly difficult (for me at least) to moderate that time. While it feels fun in the moment, I’m usually left empty afterwards. Games on the other hand are the opposite for me. It’s a long lasting form of enjoyment that many continue to dwell on for years. Games often make you think and engage with the content more than the mindless scrolling that ensues on social platforms.

And now I’m realizing that rant was hardly related to the article. So, in conclusion, there are things much worse than video games.

Re: Soapbox: A Strange Desire For Switch Sports And A Return To Wii's Wuhu Island

I'd take a remaster but I'd rather they release a brand new game that takes place on Wuhu Island and that is almost open world like Go Vacation. It would be even better if it worked online and you could see other Miis roaming around going to play different activites. You could even incorporate ideas from Tomadatchi Life and Miitomo and have a place where you own your own apartment. Basically I just want a giant mash up of all the Mii games into one ultimate package on switch.

Re: Talking Point: How Good Are You At Games?

I just want to know why banana blitz hd is so hard. I’ve never been more frustrated with a game. I beat the main campaign last night and tried to champion medal a couple of earlier worlds, and I couldn’t do it. Gosh I now despise each and every one of those little monkeys.

@Ganner I don’t think it’s just you, but I’m definitely the opposite. I love the fact that they have them for everything I enjoy, and I see them as a great way to display all of the favorite franchises. I can understand why others don’t like them though, the style is kind of an acquired taste and they take up a ton of space if you really start to get into them.

Re: Rumour: Sonic's New Game Might Be An Open-World Adventure

@TruthisRare They just announced Game Builder Garage, and E3 is two weeks away. And a some of those indie games are some of the best games of all time, so I don't know. If you really don't like the Switch and Nintendo's output, sell it and buy a console that better suites your tastes.

Re: Minecraft Receives How To Train Your Dragon DLC

@Heavyarms55 Of course Mojang is doing it for profit. They don’t make anything off the constant free updates they’ve put out over the past 10 years. I’m just saying that none of these practices are anti consumer or anti community. The marketplace and account migration are to aid consumers and give the community a place to thrive and build paid content on to bring in revenue. Here’s an article on how Noxcrew has been able to hire practically an entire indie studio thanks to the marketplace: https://venturebeat.com/2018/03/26/noxcrew-is-a-full-game-studio-making-content-for-minecraft-marketplace/
