If you've been holding out for a physical release of Untitled Goose Game on the Nintendo Switch you just might be in luck. This exact listing has recently been spotted on Amazon Germany.
As you can see below, it seems to reveal it will be published by Skybound Games - best known in recent times for The Walking Dead: The Final Season. It's also listed for a 22nd September release, priced at 35,99€, and pre-orders are now live.
The House House developed game first arrived on the Switch last September and by December had sold more than one million copies. Since then, it's won multiple accolades - including GOTY at the D.I.C.E Awards. In our review, we gave it eight out of ten honks and said it was a highlight in the Switch's library.

Did someone say physical release ?? 😀
Finally, a physical release is what I'd been waiting for all this time.
And it shall come with an instruction booklet, 12 pages of just "honk."
I haven’t bought this game yet, but I want to. I can wait for this....
Unpackaged Goose Game.
@Paraka
Page 1 = Honk!
Page 2 = Honk Honk!
Page 3 = Honk Honk Honk!
etc 🤣
Absolutely loved this game but found it quite short. Completed it in one sitting then mopped up the extra challenges. If you haven't played it though it's worth a punt.
That's pretty sweet for those who want it, but I don't think I will be double dipping. It's too short (even with post-game content) to justify it in my opinion. It's a wonderful, charming experience though, so great news regardless.
Bought this game, Didn't like it...
Definitely would snag the physical.
Wasn't as good as I felt was getting praised for. Still a good game though.
It was also issued a classification by the Australian Classification Board last week.
Looking forward to grabbing a copy real soon.
That's cool, but I'm just waiting for a sequel or dlc for this game; love it, but I feel like it's too short.
Good for those who wanted it, but €36 is just way too much considering you can finish the game in understand 3 hours
How much?!?!?!
Pass.
Tempting since I don't have the game yet, but that price does seem a bit steep. Time will tell on pricing for all regions.
This is perfect for my recent string of “games I passed on originally because I wasn’t ready for them, but OOH physical edition?”
That’s how I got Sexy Brutale, Sayonara Wild Hearts and Kentucky Route Zero.
This would be grand
@Anti-Matter Keep the fire alive!
@Beermonkey This game was made by Australians, yes? The next one should be set in the northern hemisphere, with the hero bird, the Canada goose, as protagonist. Maligned by the USA and suburbanites everywhere, this proud avian spreads justice everywhere she goes. (... And a bit of "grease".)

I want this game, it's pretty hing on my wishlist, but to me the price is too high. Physical would justify the standard price, but it raises it quite a bit... So I'll wait for whatever version gets down to the acceptable price to me.
Why do these digital switch games get physical releases like a year or more later? Also, who cares?
“Be a horrible goose; Now on physical!”
@Beermonkey I agree, but it wasn’t as short as other titles. Donut County only took me an hour to get through, while Untitled Goose Game took me about 5 to 100%
@Alienfreaks04 Physical releases mean the digital did so well they had enough money to pay for the cartridge and case.
@Bmartin001 I see you are NOT a man of culture
Just kidding mate, we all have our opinions
Meh not this time, nothing against Untitled Goose Game as that's a good game that does need a physical release but Skybound Games often took forever with their pre-order and shipping process. My physical copy of Skullgirls: 2nd Encore had probably never arrive if it were not for me continuing to bother them every month about it.
Yes! Yes! Yes! I knew holding out would pay off
How about some more content? I finished it the first day in about 4 hours and pull it out once in a while to show friends but it's so freaking short.
I'd buy it if the cover art was nice (subjective, I know) and not too lacking/minimal.
I'm still waiting for hyperlight drifter and cuphead physical releases
Mess with the H O N K you get the B O N K
Ouch cartridges clearly give Switch games a price bump
I think that digital-only/first games will always be cheaper as they don't have to match the physical release price... Likewise, supposedly 'overpriced' stuff like A Hat in Time, had physical versions at launch. I wonder how much does it cost to actually produce those cartridges, maybe Nintendo is taking a hit on profits from physical releases? Still, as the platform holder it makes sense, but it doesn't that much for third parties
@mesome713 LOL so was it good or not? Make up your damn mind!
Just finished the extra challenges. I need this
I believe it. The devs seemed to hint at further content.
Skullgirls was very difficult to get hold of. Hopefully (as it's advertised on Amazon) this won't be the case here.
When it's on sale digitally - then, and only then, I'll take a gander.
It's just too short for a full physical release – especially at that fowl price. But at say £10 or so I'll flock to it.
@RPGamer sure do bud! Kentucky Route Zero is all preorder right now, I’m not sure how many they are making.
But Sayonara Wild Hearts copies are in the wild!
Nate the Hate (aka Direct Feed Games) somewhat hinted at this on last night's SpawnCast.
Will get. Been waiting for this news!
Yes! Finally! I been waiting for a physical release of this game which is the reason why i haven't bought it yet. Now I only need to patiently wait for Bug Fables to get a physical release too so that all my waiting would be worth it!
As much as I love physical releases, I probably won't be double dipping as this is a game I want absolutely everywhere with me.
I watched a stream of this game. It seems like a fun game but really the steam have me all the goose goodness I needed. I'm good. I mean unless I can find a copy of this in the bargain bin sometime which I don't think is likely to happen.
HJÖNK HJÖNK AM GOOSE
@COVIDberry UGG is already set in the Northern Hemisphere. The setting is inspired by typical English villages.
So is this news or a rumour?
I don't see the point, unless it costs as much as the digital version. Or unless it has 10 times the content.
Seems a bit pointless, just a cartidge for the sake of it.
This game deserves it!
I can never understand the fuss about physical releases.
@Markiemania95 Interesting. I'll play the game with a keener eye when I do get to it!
