Re: Miyamoto Wasn't A Fan Of The Art Style In Zelda: Wind Waker

MasterGraveheart

The original presentation was not a great presentation. That capstone wink was a little cringe and it looked rough. The refined look was an improvement, but still took time to get used to.

But in the end, we got one of the prettiest Zelda games in the series and one I can’t imagine never of having. Easy top 5 or 3 Zelda for me.

Re: Bobby Kotick Has Been Re-Elected To Activision Blizzard's Board Of Directors

MasterGraveheart

Of course the "board of directors at Activision Blizzard is satisfied with Kotick's performance and handling of the recent scandals." They were more than likely participating themselves and should be held just as accountable as Kotick! Between this and the "Activision declares Activision innocent" announcement a couple of days ago, no, "innocent until proven guilty" is not applicable here. What is applicable? "Where there's smoke, there's fire." There needs to be a federal investigation to the fullest extent of the law. Turn the entire company inside out if you have to. Drag Kotick and the entire board before a grand jury at this rate.

Re: Random: Don't Expect To See Sonic Kissing Anymore Humans, Says Sega

MasterGraveheart

That’s good. The only romance that ever worked for Sonic was Princess Sally in the Saturday Morning cartoon and in the better written days of the Archie comics. Their final kiss was perfection.

To be fair, Sonic is the type of character who probably shouldn’t have a “knight and damsel” relationship like we see so often. Whomever he ends up with, if anyone, I’m hoping it’s as different as Sonic is.

Re: Capcom Releasing "Multiple Major New Titles" By March 31, 2023

MasterGraveheart

Um, okay, but Mega Man Battle Network Collection when?

Or Mega Man 12 for that matter?

Or how about the Disney Afternoon Collection on Switch?

Or maybe work with WayForward and re-list DuckTales Remastered?

Viewtiful Joe 3, anyone?

Hey, how about Bionic Commando or ActRaiser 2 on NSO? That one wouldn't take too much effort, would it?

Or... dare I ask... Mega Man Legends 3?

Re: Random: Where's Ms. Pac-Man in Pac-Land?

MasterGraveheart

I think you mean they terminated their license in 1984 or 1994? At least I hope so, I don't think they had video games that far back. ^^;

Honestly, I'm really getting frustrated at this whole Ms. Pac-Man nonsense. We're missing out on a lot of Pac games because of it and I'm blaming AtGames entirely on this.

Re: Konami Announces Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection For Switch

MasterGraveheart

This is literally everything I have wanted from a TMNT collection, right down to the name itself. These games were such a huge part of my childhood and I can’t wait to own them all in one collection.

This is Day 1 for me. Konami, please don’t screw this up. Master the emulation, do your part to make sure the online multiplayer works well… and if you wanna throw in a coupon for pizza for old time’s sake, I won’t complain.

Re: Former Metroid Prime Engineer Admits He Was "Disappointed" With The Wii's Specs

MasterGraveheart

I get it. Perhaps more so than any other generation, the Wii was so behind the PS3 and 360 in terms of hardware power... getting to play in an HD spectrum was very interesting to young, budding developers, and Nintendo was still in the Standard Definition playground.

I don't think it turned out too badly for Nintendo, though, considering all the Wiis they sold. For as young as HD was at the time, it was probably the right call for them in the end.

But, again, I get it.

Re: Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Calls For Industry-Wide Support Of Video Game Preservation

MasterGraveheart

There needs to be a true form of historical game preservation for all games. Make something like an International Video Game Archive that also releases games available for download to customers so we can research and experience games of yore and never /ever/ lose them.

Game industry, it's time to stop being greedy with your back catalog and submit your libraries for this form of preservation. Focus your efforts forward. Let the historians who want to be historians for this medium preserve your efforts.

Re: Random: Forget Dread, It's All About Metroid: Other M On Twitter Right Now

MasterGraveheart

I personally enjoyed the gameplay, but it did feel like a strong departure from the Metroid feel. And seeing Samus so tiny compared to other human characters was kinda jarring. I appreciate the attempt to do something more character-wise was there, and I don't hate on the Ridley stuff as much as others, but it's on the lower side of middle of the road for me, I think. But definitely not a waste and I would play it again.
