@Damo Metriod would be great!! I'd love a Super Mario Bros 3 one in Yellow, maybe we could get that in 2023 as it's the 35th anniversary of the games release in Japan that year.

Has anyone played this? Another article I read says it's a multiplayer game? Is there a single player campaign?

@KryptoniteKrunch I agree with that, short or long, if it's not enjoyable, it's not worth playing.

Really subjective question, as others have said, genre plays a part.

Whilst waiting for Metroid Dread to be released, I played Inside over a couple of days, it took be around 4 hours to complete, i'd consider that a short game.

My in game clock for Metroid Dread is approaching 9 hours and I haven't finished yet, currently battling the flying bug boss...I wouldn’t consider Metroid Dread a short game. I put 50 hours into Zelda Skyward Sword, I'd consider that a long game.

Aquiris, the studio behind this are doing some interesting things, theybhave a game called Wonderbox which looks almost like a Zelda Maker, if I was Nintendo i'd be talking to them about a partnership, exclusive titles or an acquisition.

I'm suddenly become aware of a lot of racing games on the Switch recently that I really want...is this one of best represented genres after platformers and metroidvanias?

@Shiryu I haven't played Horizon Chase Turbo yet, it was near the top of my list before the DLC, now it's a must buy!! It looks epic!! I'm just waiting to see if they release a new physical edition.

I played Metroid Prime on the Game Cube when it came out and I've meant to play Super Metroid on NSO, but haven't got round to it yet.

If the rumours about the Mario team developing a DK game are true, i've been speculating if it will be a tie-in game for the movie/theme park and would it be a Donkey Kong + Mario + Bowser game?

Donkey Kong is confirmed as in the movie...Donkey Kong is now in the theme park...surely that all but confirms a Donkey Kong game is coming soon?!

If it's the Mario team developing the Donkey Kong game, what if it was a Donkey Kong + Mario + Bowser game to tie in with the movie and theme park?

Including this DLC pack and the two others, is this now the best racing game on the Switch? Assuming this expansion is as good as what has come already.

There are 120 shrines in BOTW, each a mini dungeon. I wonder if there was exactly the same amount of gameplay, but they divided them all into 10 big dungeons, would the people who complain about dungeons in BOTW still complain?

@dugan I have suddenly realised there are loads of great racing games on the Switch! I really want to play; art of rally, Horizon Chase Turbo, Crusin' Blast and Gear Shifters!

I'm 10 hours into Golf Story, I want to finish that then try to start + finish Inside before Metroid Dread arrives!

This has to be why we haven't had a Direct yet. I'm convinced we won't see one now until after dread launches.

@Ristar24 Super Mario Bros U Deluxe gets a bad rap but I really enjoyed it! Yes, there are better 2D mario games, bit this one isn't a bad game.

I'm waiting for Metroid Dread, so i'm not starting anything new, bit going back through games I staryed but didn't finished. I completed Bowsers Fury and the Mario + Rabbids Donkey Kong DLC in the week, now i'm going back to finish Golf Story!

I finally finished Skyward Sword, so now i'm going finish Bowser's Fury. After watching @JonComms video about DLC, I'm going to go back and finish the Donkey Kong story in Mario + Rabbids, I got stuck at one point and moved onto something else.

I voted $500 - $1000. The only two games I would consider buying (if the price was reasonable) sealed and in great condition are Super Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros 3 as they both have sentimental value and I would frame and hang them on a wall.

@westman98 So this years (not last) Switch Q1 sales are better than ANY Q1 the PS4 had, which is really impressive too.

@westman98 That's a really good post. As you said, the numbers last year would have been skewed due to lockdown. Q1 being more than double any previous year is immense.

I'd love to see them bring them back, continue what they have done with Mario and Zelda (Metroid?) but also develop some new games, maybe mini collections or 3 or 4 games, simple graphics, simple controls and truly small enough to fit in your pocket.

@Lordplops What do you think are great numbers? can it sell 80m units? is 5m units an amazing success?

Is there a scenario where this has a negative impact on the Switch? I'm looking at it thinking that even though they are handhelds, they are aiming at different markets? This isn't the same as Sony releasing another handheld, or am I getting this wrong?

PatTheNesPunk has talked loads about this on his podcast. There seems to be a concerted effort to create an artificial market, nobody cared about print runs of NES games 18 months ago, video games aren't like books.

Three Mario games in the top ten, what an insane franchise it is for Nintendo.

@Clyde_Radcliffe a new Wave Race would be epic! Maybe they could add some locations from other Nintendo games as races such as The Seaside Kingdom in Mario Odyssey, Rico Harbour from Mario Sunshine, the coast near Eventide island in Breath of the Wild or Hylia River.

@Clyde_Radcliffe I wonder if it does well, would Nintendo ask them to make another? If they aren't going to restart the F-Zero franchise, this could be their second racing game?

If it is would this mean we won't see the "Nintendo Kart" game Nate The Hate has talked about? He thought that could be an alternative racing game pre MK9.

I've convinced myself that apart from Skyward Sword, we won't see any Zelda. I'd be VERY happy with a Metroid (2D) and Donkey Kong announcement. I'm hoping Donkey Kong is 3D, but the recent rumours say 2D.

@Iggy-Koopa I think you're 100% right, MAYBE we get a progress update, but that's it. I'd be disappointed if there wasn't something metroid related at E3 though, assuming the 2D game rumours are true.

Maybe this is the beginning of a year of metroid announcements? 2D metroid announced now for later in the year, Metroid Prime trilogy announced before christmas for 1st half of next year and MP4 at E3 next year for the holiday game or early 2023?
