What the heck?? How are they going to award a game that's not even out yet?
How can you possibly say whether Sparks of Hope is better or worse than any other unreleased game?
Why not throw Metroid Prime 4 and BotW2 into the mix as well while we're at it... 🤦♂️
What a con..it isnt even out yet so how can it win an award? I bet Ubisoft sponsor these awards
What is the point of an award for an upcoming game?!
The best Nintendo Switch game only has 2 games? And one is Just Dance? Why isn’t there a third game like Xbox and PlayStation?
Just Dance 2022? 🧐
@FragRed Probably because you have to pay to be an entry and Nintendo didn't want to cough up cash for this utter nonsense 🙄
(But Ubisoft did. Both games are theirs).
I hate this nonsense of awarding games that aren’t out yet. This is how we end up with Cyberpunk.
a game with Ubisoft's name on it is not worth supporting.
don't forget that 25 percent of employees have seen or experienced workplace misconduct. (source: https://www.theverge.com/2020/10/2/21499334/ubisoft-employees-workplace-misconduct-ceo-yves-guillemot-response)
@Toads-Friend knowing their corporate shenanigans, and their ploy to cover up the official investigation of Ubisoft Singapore?
yeah, probably!
Why isnt Hollow Knight : Silksong in that mix, thats not out yet, and the devs seems to have dissapeared off the face of the earth, but it's probably better than all the games that arent out yet.
Why not just put Breath of the Wild 4 in there too.
This is stupidity
Going under the radar is Best Indie Game nominee: "Lost in Random, Electronic Arts" - ah yes, that plucky indie studio EA.
This is really funny since none of these games are out yet, even funnier that the only other Switch game nominated is Just Dance 2022
A perfect no-sense awards
Stuuupid award! So pointless
Sorry to be rude, but giving awards to a product that is not finished and nobody played it yet is one of the dumbest things in the world.
If they're just going off games that don't exist, might as well list Just Dance 2051, Half Life 3, and Beyond Good and Evil 2.
What I interpret from this is Nintendo and Sony aren't doing anything at Gamescom which isn't particularly surprising. Nintendo always has their early September Direct and Sony has been Nintendo 2020 levels of silent for a lot of this year.
They forgot Half Life 3 and Beyond Good & Evil 2.
And a whole section of "best unannounced games". Mother 4 deserves some attention as well.
Probably shouldn't hold an award show for unreleased games from only a limited selection of publishers in the industry.
This is just a stupid publicity stunt. 99% of these games aren't even out yet and Gamescom is gonna give em awards?
Why on earth are you giving exposure to this rubbish NL?
Best game - Just Dance 2022 or another unreleased game? This is a joke, surely?
Have some integrity, won't you? How much are Ubisoft paying you?
Am I being a boomer, or does it make no sense to award a game that hasn’t even released?
What a waste of everyone’s time 😂
@Toads-Friend they get sent early versions of the games and review them based on that. if they win, they can print that on their game boxes and use it for advertisement
Never in the 32 years i game, i saw such a idiotic game award.
Feels almost like gaming is slowly dying.
They nominated Just Dance 2022? Just lost every ounce of credibility with me.
why Gamescom is giving awards to games that not released yet? what the heck.
Why I haven't seen Banjo-Threeie nominated in this?
This is crazy... Why not have awards for best Tweet and best "bait & switch"
Sheesh... I never did understand award shows
Wow, award shows are garbage?! Who would have guessed!
Also nominated are Pikmin 4, Bayonetta 3, and the next ten years of Madden.
Where is Super Mario Odyssey 4? Or Unnamed Goose Game with a vengance?
Can we give awards to ANY unreelased game?
Same as the E3 awards from 2 months ago: https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2021/06/the_e3_2021_awards_winners_are_in_but_nintendo_lost_out
Awards for games that haven’t even been played are insane.
