what needs to happen for a game to get a rating? For a movie someone has to watch the finished product don't they?

@Gamecuber If they want him as Bond, they'll have to get a move on. It looks like we could be 1-2 years away from production starting, another year at least from release, so he'll potentially be 42 when the first one comes out. If he's bond for as long as Craig was, he'll be 57 when the last film comes out.

I'm known for staying current with my games, so it was no surprise that my top 3 were:-
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Alien: Isolation
Luigi's Mansion 3

All started for the first time this year and played to completion.

@nhSnork Sony and XBOX do that all the time, wasn't the recent COD game a tiny file size on the disk? it's rare on the switch though...

No matter if you're buying it or not, I think most would agree the footage looks great and seems to be what you'd want in a harry potter game?

Does anyone know what the first comment from Nintendo Life is about?

I'm assuming any Mainline new releases will come after the launch of a new Switch, so I doubt we'll see any games on current hardware. I haven't played COD since the Gamecube, I'll pick up one of these titles if it reviews well.

As games like TMNT: Shredders Revenge were in previous indie releases, I'm hoping for an update on the two Lara Croft games which were announced last year.

I'm still playing Dying Light, which I haven't had much time to play this week.

I'll be playing a bit of Cruisin Blast with my son over the weekend too.

There are enough Simpsons games for a collection along the lines of the TMNT Cowabunga Collection - would it be worth doing? I have only played one of the NES games and none of the other early ones.

@Guitar_bard as @Rainz said, they are very different games. I have been out in the city at night once so far and there was a fairly intense chase, but the atmosphere and game play are very different.

If I was to right up a list of my favourite games, Alien Isolation might make my top 10 of any genre, I think it is incredibly good.

I'm still playing Dying Light, with work and kids I'll be on it for a few weeks. I'm only a few hours in, it's good so far.

@MischiefMaker What do you think of Luigi's Mansion 3? I completed it a few months back and loved it!

@MythTgr @Anti-Matter I don't agree with all your points, but a new playable character would be great, the obvious choice though is Donkey Kong.

The Donkey Kong IP has the potential to be on the same level as Mario and Zelda. There are rumours about a stand alone movie and new games...was there something about a Donkey Kong section to the theme park too?

@Inc A 2D game based on the movie art style would be great! I agree regarding the "new" style.

Spawnwave has been talking about this for a while, I can't remember which video it was, it might have been a Spawncast podcast, he was talking about the rumoured 2D Mario coming next year, he thought it would be 2D and would come around the movie, his reasoning was a 2D game is more accessible to a movie audience who aren't existing Nintendo Switch owners or maybe even gamers. I think that makes complete sense.

So, i'd be very happy with a 2D game next year and assuming the new Switch is coming in 2024 or later, a 3D game as a launch title, I don't care if it's a Bowser's Fury style or Odyssey 2.

I was playing in bed in handheld mode one night when I almost jumped out of my skin, my wife wondered what the hell was going on!!

I finished Alien Isolation this week, a truely epic horror game which I highly recommend to anyone who hasn't played it.

I'm going back to Dying Light now, I got it in spring but only played around 90 minutes so i'm starting fresh.

Alien Isolation! I love it, I think I'm around half way though, hoping to put a few hors in this weekend.

I haven't played any of those, but Foregone, Destropolis and Polyroll all look great!

I've been wanting to play this game for years! As long as the review is good, I can see myself putting 100+ hours into it.

@RupeeClock yeah I was only thinking I hope it's not another situation like the Ori double pack where one release is complete on cart (in this case the iam8bit one) whilst others are not.

I watched the trailer on mute so couldn't appreciate the sound track, but the graphics looked great. I recently bought The Hong Kong Massacre and this looks like another great top down shooter!

@BadPlayerOne I think you're right, but I don't think Hello Games can assume everyone who buys the game now will get a "Switch Pro" or that it will have backwards compatibility...either way, I can't wait to play this game!

@FaroreAbhorsen No, I know exactly what you mean, there were a dew things I liked (it takes two, Tunic, Factorio, NSO, Mario Kart DLC) which is great but it didn't feel like a great direct. I was particularly disappointed about Wind Waker and Twilight Princess as it would now appear they will not be released until 2024 - if ever.

I still haven't heard a single use case for NFTs/Blockchain which will improve gaming...I'm not saying there aren't any, but no one seems to be able to articulate how this technology will make things better for gamers.

I stopped watching after 2 minutes....too many spoilers!!! I can't wait to play this game! As @1UP_MARIO @tabris95 said, the first game is excellent, probably in my switch top 10.

They should release the Saturday Afternoon Collectonnon the Nintendo Switch first! It would be great to play Rescue Rangers on the Switch!!
