I would love them to publish some of the NES games which are great but crazy expensive on ebay such as Little Samson and Mr Gimmick!

I'm not as familar with those types of games on the SNES but there must be some on that system too.

Plus, as @LinktotheFuture said, the teenage mutant ninja turtles games.

@KateGray That's an interesting question! I'd love to see those assets plus Switch Links Awakening assets. I think they should give you the choice to build a dungeon or over world level. Do they copy Mario Maker 2 and allow you to create a world with multiple dungeons?

@KateGray I wonder if Nintendo would consider giving the developer a shot at creating a Zelda Maker game? They must have learned loads from going through the process of developing this game. Or do you think that is the type of title Nintendo would want to do inhouse?

The perfect presentation for me would be Far Cry 6 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla released on the Switch + Rabbids 2!!

That's not realistic, so if we get one of those I will be happy!!

@KateGray Have you seen a game called Wonderbox: The Adventure Maker? It was released on Apple Arcade in April, from the trailer it is 80% what i'd imagine a Zelda Maker game to be.

@Mr-Fuggles777 That's a really good point and I think that's where DLSS comes in. If they can get the hardware to run at 720p (HH) and 1080p (docked) at a solid 60FPS, that is a huge improvement and with DLSS over the top for those developers who wish to make use of it Nintendo would be in a great position to be compared with the PS5 + XBOX

@tallennart yeah, and with what Nintendo want to do, you wouldn't need some crazy card going into the machine.

I can't see Nintendo putting it in the machine if they aren't going to support it. Maybe they also cover the costs of some existing 3rd party games getting a DLSS update such as Doom and The Witcher?

DLSS is Nvidia only, playstation and xbox don't use those chips.

DLSS 2.0 only launched in April last year, so it's not going to be widely adopted yet, but a company as big as Nintendo putting it into their hardware is great for game developers.

I think if it was Microsoft first party games only, Nintendo may be happy with that.

Imagine being able to play the upcoming games (Starfield + Halo Infinite etc) on the Switch. A Switch only subscription for a slightly reduced price would appeal to me.

I'd like it if some of the small games (Ori, Cuphead etc) continued to get standalone releases on the Switch - ideally physical.

New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe has out sold Splatoon 2 and Pokemon Lets Go in the past 12 months.

So, if they hit this years target, they would need to sell 22.5m in the each of the following 2 years to be the best selling console of all time.

If they hit the target this year, to be the best selling console in 4 years, they would have to sell 15m units in each of the following 3 years.

At this point, something significant will have to happen for it NOT to get past 155m.

Wow, so it will easily pass the Wii and Gameboy life time sales. It's probably already passed the PS3 (87m)...Can it reach the DS/PS2?

@pixelpatch you're right, we could get an idea based on the types of contract, if they are all fixed term contracts running out in November then it's pretty clear what they are for. Ideally it's recruitment for permanent employees who will work on say BOTW2 but then roll onto another project...BOTW3?! or Maybe it's Splatoon 3 related?

@Mackocaster7 hopefully any BOTW2 recruits are for testing rather than development, it would be good to understand how many of the roles are fixed term contracts (For a specific project) vs permanent contracts which would indicate either a high turn over of staff (bad) or a larger roadmap of multiple games (good!)...

Hopefully they can agree a deal with Aquiris to bring Wonderbox: The Adventure Maker to the Switch - they are a Brazilian development studio. This game is what Zelda Maker could be...

It's a shame Mr Gimmick! Didn't get a wide release, that would have been a top 5 game if more people knew about it.

So many good games mentioned in the comments, particularly Chip n Dale, Duck Tales and Bucky O'Hare.

I would love a copy of Super Mario Bros 3 in mint condition which I could put in a frame, purely due to the nostalgia. Apart from that, everything is to play, but I prefer boxes/cases in good condition.

I have small NES and Gamecube collections and when adding to them I always want CiB, however i've seriously been considering getting a gameboy advance with a custom screen etc, if I did i'd be happy with a loose cart collection of GB/GBA games

I was thinking about getting a GBA (with screen mod) to play the best games from the GB, GBC + GBA, but I wasn't sure if a New 3DS XL for 3DS + DS games would be a better choice. The Switch was the first (at least partial) Nintendo handheld I have owned.

Which game library is better?

@HexagonSun I beat Sunshine last weekend, playing it for the first time in at least 15 years, have fun!! I loved it! I might go back and play through it again later in the year.

I picked up the Bioshock trilogy last year but only did the first 20 minutes, so i'm going to restart it. I'll play some 2 player 3D World with my wife too!

@Crono1973 They haven't done it before, they want to incentivise people to buy the online service. Plus it would significantly devalue the 3D collection if one of the games was available on NSO.

@KateGray Super Mario 35 is disappointing, but the 3D collection no longer being available would make sense if Nintendo were to put N64 games on NSO? They wouldn't want to have a game available on NSO also for sale? If they did this Sunshine + Galaxy could become available as individual purchases?

The Zelda rumours about a Wind Waker/Twilight Prince double pack would also make sense (why no N64 games like the Mario collection?) if Majoras Mask and Ocarina of Time were also being made available via NSO...

I think the 3D all stars decision makes sense if N64 games are being added to NSO. I can't see Nintendo selling a game in a pack which is also available via their online service...

so IF N64 games were added, hopefully we'd see Sunshine + Galaxy available as individual purchases...and when they announced they could make Galaxy 2 available too!!

Steamworld Dig 2 is one of my favourite games on the Switch, if anyone hasn't played it they should get it now. It's fantastic!

If you have a NTSC game and a PAL game + Swiss, would they look the same through one of these devices or would one look better?

Do these types of devices only work with NTSC games? I ready somewhere that PAL games don't generate the correct output or something?

My copy arrived an hour ago, I didn't have a WiiU, so this will be the first time I have played it

If this is the start of a few acquisitions by Nintendo, I'd like to see them buy Konami or Sega and make use of some of their underutilised franchises.

I'm trying to "complete" Mario 35!! I have one level to complete and then I have completed every level at least once.

After that I'll be opening Assasins Creed The Rebel Collection to play my first ever Assassins Creed game, Black Flag looks great.

I'd love a unit for Super Mario Bros 3 in the same yellow as the box, I think that would look great, and it's my favourite Mario game!

@Natsura I have put quite a few hours in an I have won quite a few games by taking my time and killing everything, when playing like that I was almost always the last person to complete 1-1. So I know you can win by playing slowly and analysing each jump etc, you just need to kill as much as possible too.

I'm trying to play faster now as I only have 1 level (8-2) left to complete at least once and I'm finding I need to get at least a dozen levels in to have any chance of it appearing

I only have a switch, but I'm considering getting a PS4 after the PS5 launch if I can get a great deal, there about maybe a dozen PS4 games (Last of Us, God of War etc) which I would love to play.

wow, the top 6 games have sold a combined 134 million units, it shouldn't take too long for those titles to exceed 150 million units, that's incredible.

I'm currently distracted by mario 35 and I have a backlog of half a dozen games, so i'll be getting it at some point but not yet.

@pauliopaolo me to! But i'm playing quite a bit of Mario 35 at the moment, I haven't finished the Mario 3D collection yet and i picked up assassin's creed the rebel collection on Amazon Prime Day! So it will be Christmas before I play either of them!
