@blindsquarel the only reasons I can think to delay are out of respect or if they think it will impact coverage of the announcements.

The BBC were saying last night that they expect the funeral to be in 10 days which would be Sunday 18th, that would work for TV coverage etc too. It also means having a direct next week wouldn't clash with the day of the service.

I haven't played any of the Splatoon games, is there any reason o play Splatoon 2 now?

If there is a tie in game (hopefully a 3D Mario game) moving the release back qould make sense if Zelda is being released in March.

If there is a game I hope it's a game where Mario and Donkey Kong are pkayable characters!

@serouj2000 I know, but November is too late to announce a game for release this year...announce on the birth of the franchise for release on the anniversary of the game? Assuming it's coming this year.

With tomorrow being the anniversary, I wonder if Nintendo would use it as an excuse for an announcement? Prime remake?

I think of my collection as two separate collections, my retro collection (NES + Gamecube + modern mini consoles + modern game & watches) and my Switch collection.
The highlight of my retro collection is probably my original NES or my copy of Super Mario Bros 3.
The highlight of my Switch collection is probably a few steelbooks I have (Ape Out, Super Krush KO, ABZU, 3D world etc).

@nimnio you may be right, either way this is a game i'm really excited about and can't wait to play for the first time when it's released on the Switch!

Apart from the graphical difference I wouldn't be surprised if No Mans Sky is a better game than Starfield, far to early to say obviously, but it will be interesting to see.

The NL review was a 6/10 with the negatives being:-
1. Not varied or challenging enough and heavily reuses assets and obstacles
2. No scoring system or leaderboards outside of your own best times
3. Framerate issues when things get busy on higher difficulties

"Da Update" added leaderboards and other new content, is it a much better game now?

As someone who isn't interested in Monster Hunter, Nier Automata or Persona, it wasn't the best Direct for me personally, but I can appreciate how for many it would be great.

The best announcements for me were Super Bomberman R 2 and the Live A Live demo! Mario + Rabbids info is great, but I already knew about that game.

It must be frustrating if you're a Playstation or XBOX owner, they have the existing IP to make A and AA games, alongside their AAA games to fill out the calendar, but they don't. Microsoft could be making Banjo, Conker and Killer Instinct games...what happened to Project Gotham Racing?

@Kirgo you make a good point regarding casual gamers confusion, but EA are probably calculating that they can take an x% drop in sales and still make more money to due FIFA asking so much for the licence.

@Ventilator @gergelyv You also need to consider whoever comes in is trying to hit a moving target, whatever you think of EA and the current game, they are going to continue to improve it, so the game in 2, 3 and 4 years time should be better than what it is now...

How long will it take another developer to build a game? Lets give FIFA a huge amount of goodwill and assume they have a deal in place right now with another developer (which I doubt is realistic) then what is the turn around time to get to the same level as EA FIFA?

Pure speculation, but if EA have been planning this for a few years they could have been holding back on releasing a big update to the Switch version to give them a sales boost when they switch names...or am I giving EA too much credit?!

@SuperCharlie78 @rex_rex Nintendo's sales target for this year is 21m units, if they hit the same number next year the lifetime sales would be over 149m, so I think it is possible for the Switch to pass the DS...

If Adventures was only 20% action and 80% shooter, would it be considered a better Star Fox game? or does a Star Fox game need to be 100% a shooter to be a "proper" game?

I'm please to see Steamworld Dig 2 on this list, it is an excellent game, one of the best on Switch. If you haven't already played it...GET IT NOW!! ha ha!

@BulkSlash If both games were set within same virtual city with other games set their too, that could justify the "super game" tag?
