Re: Gurumin 3D Price Revealed, Free 3DS Theme To Be Included With Purchase

Llamageton

That's a very nice price for a port of an old game.
Of course the PC version on Steam and the PSP version can be had for less ($8-10), but $15 is still pretty great for a new port. I don't give a flip about 3D though, so if I ever become interested enough in this game I'll either just get the cheaper PSP version, or Steam version to play on my GPD Win.

Actually, I wouldn't have minded it on 3DS if:
A) They had stylus control for non-New systems; the Gyro controls are awful and makes me want to beat the cheese out of random strangers with my 2DS.
B) Let Capcom make the game. Capcom makes THE best visuals on 3DS, whether or be realistic-style (Resident Evil and Monster Hunter) or toon-style (EX Troopers and Monster Hunter Stories). NO ONE can even come anywhere close to being as talented to them when it comes to 3DS, not even Nintendo nor Shin'en (okay maybe Sakurai). Not only that, Capcom has far more experience making co-op multiplayer games and shooting games, so they could've easily made a game about the space marines AND DO IT JUSTICE.

Re: Metroid Prime: Federation Force Power Bombs in Japan

Not at all a surprise to be honest.
However Feddy FoFo's failure will do little to change Nintendo's attitude about the series. They'll either do another cringe-worthy looking game like Feddy FoFo or stop making them entirely, or at least put the series in the same "development" category as Star Fax and Fzero.

@RoomB31
Well I'm one of the ones who likely won't be buying an NX, unless a dedicated handheld version comes out for a very cheap price later on(no expensive docking, screening, whatever gimmicks please), so I'll just grab the Wii U version. At this point my siblings and I aren't bothered at all about not getting the newest Mario Kart or the newest Smash Bros., so we have no need for the NX :/

Re: Dragon Quest XI Confirmed For Nintendo NX, For Real This Time

Llamageton

Good for whoever is buying that NX thing. I'll be getting PS4 version as that is likely the definitive version, then might pick up the 3DS version if I enjoy the story enough as the 3DS version is extremely unique.
As I don't see any reason to waste hundreds upon hundreds of dollars yet again on underpowered, overpriced (assuming NX is as overpriced as Wii U and 3DS are) Nintendo hardware, I'll be skipping out on this generation of Nintendo hardware (I honestly never thought I would actually say this..........)

Re: Hardware Review: PocketCHIP

@ejamer
The GPU driver still isn't working? I haven't been on the CHIP boards in a while so I didn't follow the progress on that. Guess the CHIP software is still very much in progress.
Well anyway, another wish of mine is for someone to make a Pandora/Pyra-style case+adapter board with built in keyboard and game controls. It would make the "Pocket" CHIP actually pocketable and perhaps make it much more attractive to general consumers (EDIT: though now that I think about it, such a thing might be expensive unless produced in high quantities). I'm planning to do a bunch of things to my PocketCHIP including the speaker mod, micro SD mod, and printing out a good keyboard/dpad overlay-case-thing to make the PocketCHIP a bit more usable, but a full overhaul of the PocketCHIP would be really welcome.

Re: Hardware Review: PocketCHIP

Still waiting on an app to switch between the current UI and the CHIP's XFCE desktop UI. The Open Pandora had this feature, so I'm hoping someone will do the same for PocketCHIP.

This came out 4 years ago Nintendo.
You could've saved yourself soooooooooooooooooooo much trouble by asking Capcom to make this game instead. I don't mind a game about the troopers. In fact I welcome it.
Thing is, I don't quite enjoy the idea of wasting a whole $40 on something that would make my eyes bleed while I play it.
Now if you were releasing a N64 Mini and including this as a cool selling point, then sure.

P.S. Why the heck are there no stylus controls? Even with how uncomfortable it'd be, I'd prefer that to the awful gyro aiming and clunky button mapping of the blastball demo.

Anyway I can't get enough of the purple theme on some of NintyLife's pages. Looks so gorgeous.

Re: Review: Metroid Prime: Hunters (Wii U eShop / DS)

Llamageton

Controls definitely didn't age well, especially a massive slab like the Wii U. Graphics didn't either, but they were and still are insanely impressive for the hardware.
Still, controls and graphics for this game are still far superior to those of FeddyFo (when using...eugh...gyro controls).
