Re: More Switch Rumours Emerge Online

Llamageton

These rumors makes sense considering this is Nintendo we're talking about. Voice chat could just mean what it always means with Nintendo; as in technically there, but no one being "allowed" to use it.
Even the trash storage size makes sense because Nintendo wouldn't be Nintendo if they didn't cheap out (and proceed to overprice the console, though at least this time there MIGHT be a chance that the Switch might not be considered overpriced of they can release it for $200).

Re: Super Mario Run Will Require a Constant Online Connection

Llamageton

When Gameloft pulled this BS starting with Modern Combat 5, I said nope not doing that.
The only games worth buying that have an always online connection are MMORPGs; games that have actual content to back up the price (though what every individual person gets out of an MMO varies) and have the biggest potential out of any genre in existence to continue growing.

Re: Feature: Xenoblade Chronicles X - One Year Later

Llamageton

Was an alright game. Could've been better if they had a better sound design and if it had an action RPG battle system rather than the drab auto-battle system inspired by old, tired MMORPGs. Also if it didn't have unnecessary censorship and a text scaling option; way too hard to read anything.
I would've much preferred an open world The Last Story 2 though. Really hope Sakaguchi will be getting back into console development soon.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Will Be Showing Off Super Mario Run At NY Apple Store Next Week

@Anti-Matter
All storage mediums fail/die eventually. Nintendo hardware is not spared from that.
And if you wanted cartoonish games, PC is chock full of that. The modern fool believes that PC gaming only equates to the console ports it receives when in fact PC gaming so, so much more. Windows has the biggest library of games. Ever. Nothing else comes close or will ever come close. So you're not limited to just dark, gritty, "hyper realistic" games.

Re: Koji Igarashi Would Be "Incredibly Honored" To Make A Metroid Game

@CrazyMetroid
Of course, it'd be insane for Nintendo to just simply give away their IPs. But they seriously do need to allow other devs freedom to develop games using their IP with minimal interference aside from image and quality control. Give tips to keep the game good and to keep the game in line with what makes the IP feel like a Nintendo IP, but don't be too controlling.

Re: Deals: Black Friday - New 3DS Super Mario Black & White Edition

@J-Manix98
Yeah I have nothing from Walmart either. No cancellation or shipping (to store) confirmation.
Well, I would actually want to stop the cancellation now, since my friend actually does want to buy the black one off me since he missed the deals. Unfortunately Walmart doesn't have an option to stop a cancellation...oh well.

@Graeme
2018 would probably be the last year it sees any significant releases. Unlike Sony, Nintendo doesn't build their consoles to be viable for devs for longer than 6 years nor do they have a good enough relationship with 3rd parties to keep getting games made after a platform has "died" like Sony does.

Re: Feature: 10 Essential 3DS RPGs

@CrazedCavalier
Glad to hear you enjoyed something about it then.
Both Fates' story AND gameplay has, in the end, stopped me from gleaming ANY enjoyment and fun from the game(s) so I'm unable to complete them. It's truly a struggle, however I spent close to $100 on this so I need to finish it eventually, no matter how agonizing.
At least with Awakening, the Avatar gimmick was still pretty fresh. By the time Fates came out it became to stale and the manakete lord idea, which should've been cool, couldn't save it for me either :/

Re: Feature: 10 Essential 3DS RPGs

@CrazedCavalier
Be to be honest, none of the FE games really have a totally strong and solid story (though I still haven't gotten around to playing 5, so I don't know about that), but it's clear some are definitely better than others or at least feel like they are. And for me, Awakening and Fates are rock bottom.

Re: A Monster Hunter Movie Series is On the Cards

Llamageton

Reading closely through his concept....I REALLY DO NOT WANT HIM DEFILING MONSTER HUNTER.
He obviously DOES NOT understand anything about Monster Hunter. Monsters in the MH series are NOT all-powerful mythical beings that only a "chosen" hero can slay, they are ANIMALS.
Aside from maybe the Elder Dragons, which are said to be NATURAL DISASTERS GIVEN A LIVING FORM.
Please Capcom Japan, revoke this man's privileges for crappifying your game series through film.

Re: Check Out This Fan Concept of an SNES Mini's Packaging

Llamageton

There's really nothing stopping them from making an SNES Mini. From what we supposedly know of the specs, they could just take the same boards they used for the NES Mini and shove them into a new casing shaped like an SNES/SFC.
Well actually they'd likely have to make new boards to move the controller ports so they would fit well with an SNES shaped board, but they could still just use all the exact same components they used with the NES Mini and it'll still emulate SNES games full speed.

Re: Project CARS Isn't Planned to Appear on the Nintendo Switch

Llamageton

Why? It's simple. Same reason why they didn't port to Wii U and why barely anyone supported Wii U:
Their publishers don't want to risk wasting more time and money allowing the development a version on a weaker platform that isn't selling well or that they think may not have the potential to sell well. Especially if the platform is TOO weak (I don't think this affects the Switch nearly as much as it affected the Wii U at least) or whose system architecture requires an entirely separate development pipeline (again, doesn't affect Switch QUITE as much as Wii U, as now they're sharing system architecture commonly used in smart devices....though the state of console game ports to ARM is still pretty much in its infancy; fortunately Android, NVIDIA, and the PS Vita have all already started paving the way for Nintendo to entice more devs to port modern games to modern ARM architecture).
