@Ralek85 wether they cancel it or not, the Olympics will be a major note when the time comes. I hope that despite the loses, Japan comes to their senses and cancel the event. It was bound to happen sometime, and the risk is far too much to keep em going on without a vaccine.

Played the demo and somehow the game feels a little bit worse than the GBA/DS counterparts. The art-style is amazing, but the way the control works now somehow doesn’t feel right. Plus they removed from what I saw the IA for partners, and that is bound to be a headache, specially when they feel the need to explore a dungeon full of traps and pokemon that can one shot you.

Look man I’ve read all your opinions and you are pretty much a Pokemon fanboy, the franchise can do no bad in your eyes. I’ve almost done the same before, because the games up until ORAS had some saving grace, but starting with U&S the franchise is really making it harder to like.

This gen I will be skipping unless it gives me a serious reason to buy everything so far announced for $60, not more. This is all bullshit that would be criticised to hell and back if this was any other company, and GF or Nintendo isn’t some flawless-above criticism company.

@cryptologous “needs” to release two gens each hardware gen?Sorry but no, that is a situation GF put themselves in and they can get out of that if they want to. We had two games (well three) per gen until Sinnoh, then they got greedy and bam, here we are.

Eh I’m still mad about not having available all the pokemon. I don’t care if they add it to another game later, because probably they will fumble it again in some way or another.

Hell, there is even a chance that next games will be all just a fraction of the mon each game and good luck if your favorite isn’t in one of them, wait for the next gen.

What I don’t understand is how games like Tropical Freeze can be done and look amazing and this game struggles to get fixed 30fps and has to have scalable resolution.

@redd214 this are mostly for collectors, or staunch Nintendo fans. While the 8bitdo controllers are better some people want their original and official Ninty merchandise.

I’m kinda tempted to buy a pair, but we’ll see.

@Xelha what GF need is to make a permanent Pokemon team that rotates every two gens (to avoid burnout), that is always focused on the franchise, without members getting involved in any other project during their time there.

And Nintendo needs to double down on their “upending the table” philosophy with the Pokemon Company because they are letting them off the hook way too many times. It doesn’t matter if its a cashcow, you have to enforce quality, otherwise the brand will dilute over time.

That explains why MM Zero and ZX are so great, they were former Capcom employees and had a director that worked in at least 2 previous games.

I really hope Capcom adds at least one more game to the ZX saga and hires this fine gentlemen to do it.

I’m saddened by the lack of Megaman ZX/ZXA love here. The Alien 2D game is also missing, and some FPS like Metroid, Call of Duty and Moon (yeah they are not the best FPS ever but they are good).

I agree with some of the list but I think it is too heavy on text games (RPG genre is over represented so I don’t mind having many of them here). Also Spirit Tracks is an awesome game that improves vastly over Phantom Hourglass and should be here.

The Really Nuclear option works wonders, because it seems that the problem is that there is an excess of semiconductor material there which causes the dust inside and makes the stick drift. After cleaning both of my sticks so far, after 3 months, I haven’t had any problem at all.

Lets hope it stays that way.

@Majora101 do it, getting Mew is easy peasy and getting a Red cartdrige is not that expensive. Though the Transfer Pak might prove trickier.

This was a challenge for indie developers to do something with Universal franchises for a $150,000 award. This has nothing to do with someone “tainting” the franchise, and it was given a chance to shine in Steam even though it didn’t won 1st place.

Really this site has a godawful fanbase, critical of anything that is not Nintendo while pretty complacent with things that would get blasted to pieces if it were other companies.

People seem to dismiss the Gotta Catch em All part but for many it is as important and a badge of honor. And honestly is not that difficult. Breeding helps a lot.

Very underwhelming reveal, like many said this looks like SuMo HD but without any substance. Hate that random encounters are back, and please yes men, your arguments in favor of random encounters are weak as hell. Lets Go did something right by having the pokemon be seen, so you could be more discriminating in which battles to tackle, which by the way is the only thing aside from having a pokemon follow you that people want back from Lets Go.

So stop whining yourselves that everyone is rightly critiquing a stagnant series (which is independent of popularity), GF has a tendency to introduce some awesome things and then removing them the next iteration, while improving so little that it feels like a step foward and two backwards. I’ll wait for E3 to watch what else there is too offer but right now this seems to me the most underwhelming gen ever, and I’ve been playing all gens since 1.

@MrGawain this kind of attitude is why Nintendo struggles to be the juggernaut it once was. It permeates the fans and the company, because nothing is as good as Nintendo, even though they built themselves on their games AND third party franchises.

@Yosher this is Sora and Bandai way of making new announcements and making people salivate at every tiny detail. I highly doubt skilled programmers just leave casual references there just for kicks.

Eh nobody wanted Project H.A.M.M.E.R. and Scalebound seems like really out of bounds. I still say it is more probable that MM Legend 3 happens, though knowing Nintendo the game must be something nobody expects and has thought yet.

@VHSGLITCH you need tomwatch the Direct trailer again because it looks anything but clunky. Lifeless? Perhaps though not to me, but clunky? No way.

@ThanosReXXX I don’t know, the phrasing doesn’t say anything specific to the game being a Nintendo one, just that the company is reviving A game, which could be first, second or even third party.

It looks more polished graphically (though still underwhelming) but the speed of gameplay looks more like a modern metroidvania, so they did heard the complaints. I’m willing them the benefit of doubt.

I actually like the third party characters as long as they belong in the overall theme of Nintendo gaming history. Smash right now is THE biggest gaming celebration game ever, and while having Master Chief duke it out with Samus is something people with no particular console allegiance will like, I’d still prefer if they kept it more like they had up until now.

Still any fighter is a welcome addition even if they don’t feel at first like they belong.

Hope 11 gets those numbers too. I’m kinda saddened by the way the franchise has sold over the years, I always thought Megaman was a monolith, one of the first icons of the industry, but it seems it never was the case.

Anyway I’m glad to have him in Smash and have those collections available. Now if only I could dream, I would get remakes of Legends 1 and 2, with 3 in development, as well as ZX3.

I think I have one Chansey from a 10K egg, and I’m starting to itch at the thought of investing a little more that my initial 10 bucks for some incubators and expanding more my pack and my pokemon space.

Anyway, I resisted for a while playing the game but now I’m hooked, that is until I get frustrated enough that I can’t finish my national dexes.

Yeah this game is ok at best in the technical department. Gamefreak really should up their coding game because it is pretty weak. I expect their next game be at least 60 fps always, regardless of the artstyle and graphics used.

Fortnite over GoW for game of the year will be a sore spot for many gamers. I understand that Fortnite is a global phenomenon but GoW is a piece of art in every way.

Still ROMs will be available, just in less convenient ways. Ironic that Nintendo themselves were caught using ROM sites to upload their own games back in the Wii/Wii U era.

@Kai_ I disagree, every game after that has been awesome, with perhaps Diamond and Pearl being the weakest entries, slow as hell and with only two freaking fire choices (one being a starter) for the whole game until you beat E4.

I understand people want for more characters, if they already added so much why not more? But really what we have is already a lot, the most iconic faces off gaming that started on Nintendo and made Nintendo what it is are already there (of course with some considerations, like Cloud being a standalone for the FF franchise which should have been Warrior of Light but whatever, Snake being a favor to a friend and Sonic representing a long time rivalry).

I'm more than ok with the rooster as it is.

BotW is an amazing game but I hope that the next Zelda is a scaled down game, I can’t do 200 hours games anymore.

@SpaceboyScreams your advice is condescending and misplaced. Yes the most popular channels in streaming services are from pros but Smash thrives on the party aspect, always. And why watch a party match when you can play the thing yourself at that average level?

Don’t get surprised if someone answers you with the same tone. Smash will always be the beast of a game it is because of the party aspect, not in spite of it.

Started Zelda BotW late this year so I’m playing that, I’m “near” the end, I just need to do the last divine beast and open up and find all the shrines missing in the last four regions I have without a map, before going for Ganon. So far 180 hours of playtime, this is my first (and probably last) game where I play soooo much, thing is huge.
