Re: Review: Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (Switch eShop)

Kmno

@SpeedRunRocks they lost the f....ing source code of that collection so the only proof of its existence is the commercial it had (which is in youtube). I’m still very, VERY mad at Capcom from screwing fans the opportunity to enjoy the colored entries of the GB, specially V.

Anyway for those saying this is the first time 8 is portable, it is not. You can actually buy the PS1 classic on your PSP or Vita and play to your heart content.

Re: Miyamoto Explains Why Illumination Was Chosen For The Upcoming Mario Movie

Kmno

While having Miyamoto on board could keep things as straight as possible I highly doubt his capabilities as a good storyteller. This is a movie, not a game, and considering how he was part of botching the plot on Paper Mario I’m a bit worried here.

Of course this movie not being a Pixar movie is the biggest worry of all, let’s see how it pans out.

Re: Famitsu Interview Hints That Masahiro Sakurai Could Step Back From Directing Games

@thesilverbrick A proper singleplayer campaign would be awesome. The concept of Subspace Emissary was cool even though the implementation was lacking, just bring someone who can tell a really cool coherent plot (even with all the shenanigans going with characters from all franchises) and something like an expanded Smash Run from the 3DS ( just make the enemies less annoying) and then you have something “new” to offer.

Hell make it metroidvania so there are some hard reaching or obscure places where you could unlock secret characters.

Re: Alas, The World's Best Smash Bros. For Wii U Player Is Retiring

Kmno

@LordGeovanni because (and get this) its not about you or the reduced Wii U audience. The Switch has already surpassed the Wii U lifetime sales, and it will continue to grow, so why not allow those people to enjoy the games they might missed? Just because you already have them? Ain’t that supremely egocentrical and petty?

Re: Alas, The World's Best Smash Bros. For Wii U Player Is Retiring

Kmno

@LordGeovanni classic petty opinion of WiiU fanboys. The system is dead, nobody should be forced to buy it to experience its games if they don’t want to. Having the choice of porting to a more desirable machine far outweights what (and I’m sorry I have to say it) butthurt fans that feel slighted for being so loyal (nobody forced you) to Nintendo during their dark days want.

Re: Feature: Killer Apps We Really Want To See On Nintendo Switch

Kmno

The shortsightedness of some fanboys here is astounding. Adding capabilities does not work against the console in any way, only on your warped mind.

The Switch being what it is is perfect for apps like Netflix, Youtube, or anything on video, because you can have that in both portable and TV form. Even if the console itself is not your only device the ability to just stream any of those services with a quick HDMI cable is awesome.

Re: Join The Hunt With Monster Hunter Stories' Latest Western Trailer

Kmno

Man and people here ask why third parties are so boneheaded in their choices for Nintendo consoles. With fans asking for this to come for another console (Switch), saying the game doesn't look that interesting until they have a costume of a Nintendo character and stupid things like that, no wonder we get the short end on the third party game (aside from Nintendo own choices and other companies bias).

Re: Nintendo Unveils Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Dual Pack and Fan Editions

Kmno

Perhaps this time they fixed that horrible experiencie experiment where you get less experience the higher your level is and the lower the other pokemon level is.

It was a nightmare leveling in this games something past lvl40, which makes breeding dragons and most of gen 6 mons a chore. I hope they also give more options to the battle restaurant so I can level up there, that thing was the most intelligent thing Gamefreak did in X/Y, it is the sole reason I have a living dex in that gen.

Re: Video: Warm Up for the SNES Mini With This 16-bit Tech Showcase

Kmno

I mean, the selection of games is to cover as much bases with the most recognizable games as possible. Who in the general public knows of Terranigma? Or Demon's Crest?

Still I wouldn't worry, this thing is going to get hacked ASAP and the more hardcore types can include their most wanted games.

Re: Reggie Fils-Aimé Defends Nintendo's Indie Support and AM2R Policy

Kmno

@GameOtaku look you may not like it but those are the rules, the laws of the game. If you go against them you lose plain and simple.

You are not entitled to their IPs, they don't owe you a thing, and fans certainly don't own the IP as much as they want it, so we could all think a thousand reason of why Nintendo is the bad guy or why they should lighten up and let everything go but reality is different and you either acknowledge it or you can moan as much as you like achieving nothing.

Re: Talking Point: EA and Bethesda Highlight Nintendo Switch as a Portable Powerhouse at E3

Kmno

Whatever brings the games, make it so. It is clear now with the Pro and the X that the Switch won't ever compete with those powerhouses and that again it will miss most of the games designed with those consoles in mind.

Yet if publishers see the Switch as a powerful mobile alternative for some titles that can be scaled down without much compromise then what the hell, let them see the Switch that way.

Re: Nintendo Download: 27th April (North America)

Kmno

@gatorboi352 you are dreaming my friend. They will botch the VC, AGAIN, because they wouldn't be Nintendo if they didn't.

I'll eat anyones hat and gift them a game if they manage to have a decent VC by the end of the Switch lifespan.

Re: The 3DS is Six Years Old in the Americas, How Time Flies

Kmno

It is a great piece of hardware and I sure as hell had fun with it, but still I think this portable is the first "incomplete" one in a long series of awesome portables from Nintendo.

And it wasn't all their fault, by incomplete I mean that at least 2 key franchises, Castlevania and Megaman (lets forget Metroid for a moment here) weren't there. Aside from that questionable Mirror of Fate game there wasn't a decent normal entry in any of those franchise which is baffling because since the GB there was at least one game representing.

Still having a portable Smash made it an easier pill to swallow.

Re: Even When Under Pressure The Nintendo Switch Isn't Too Hot To Handle

Kmno

@NEStalgia kind of but goes far beyond that, it is the system used to build everything we use, to investigate the very essence of existence, its not just something we use to think how much we will walk or hot our coffee is. So I'd say we kinda have a greater reason to use it beyond being accustomed to it.

But still you are right.

Re: Even When Under Pressure The Nintendo Switch Isn't Too Hot To Handle

Kmno

@NEStalgia actually I wouldn't mind kelvin, though I'm accustomed to it because I study engineering and I'd say it is the definitive system for measuring temperature.

And while you are right that people wouldn't want to change to a superior or more comfortable system because they are accustomed to theirs, it still is a pain in the back to manage the imperial when most of the times you are working on the metric.
