I don't think Nikkei would risk stating rumors if they did not have a credible source, and as it has been said in the past Nintendo denied things like the DS Lite and the 3DS XL only to confirm the later. I still think this is a good step, marketing is what Nintendo needs right now, as an enhanced focus on its online capabilities.

For training you have multiple options:

-EV training: You either do it the long way (super training) or you can do it with swarms, each swarm present in the game have pokemons that give you a lot of EV in one stat, speed, attack, sp. defense, etc. You can search which swarm gives you what and to summon swarms you can use any pokemon with sweet scent to fight one everytime you use the move.
If you like you can use any of you high level pokemon to battle the swarm and have active the Exp. Share so your desired pokemon gets exp. points and the EVs.

-For leveling you can either try Battle Chateu or my favorite (of course if you want perfect EVs do this AFTER you EV train), restaurant Le Wow in Lumiose City. It has pokes leveled 63-64, and if you toss O-Power Exp. Point lvl 3 you can easily go from 1 to 45 or even 50 in just one dinner. I usually use a M-Lucario (higher level than those pokes you are fighting) with Swords Dance and Metal Claw to sweep everything in rotation battle, it may be a little bit slow but you can get two pokemon per dinner to a high level.
Also may I recommend you do each battle in the number of turns asked so that at the end of each dinner they give you between 21 to 25 Balm Mushrooms so that you recoup your money when you sell them and make like 50,000 pokebucks more.

I really hope the bank is already live next week, I want my event legendaries ready to kick donkey.

I actually liked the first game, it is not GOTY material but it is good nonetheless, also I agree we are due for an FPS on the 3DS, I think the machine has potential.

I've got the first and I love it to bits, though I suck hard at Ultimate Score and post 40ish Chaos Notes.

A Metroid Prime style game onthe 3DS would be quite welcome by me, I think it fits perfectly. Still if they did a 2D one I'll be happy, just continue the story after Fusion and try to ignore as hard as you can Other M.

Yeah pretty pissed. To the apologist: people are not annoyed by the lack of the bank, they are annoyed by that "little insignificant" piece attached to that app called transporter. For people who care about getting a full dex it is a must, for others it helps them get pokemons with special egg moves to breed that they can't access right now, there are MANY people that need the bank so no reason to be an apologist and pat Ninty in the back when they screw up.

And before someone says "it's just a game, don't you have something else to do? Just play another thing, bla bla bla", just shut up, we are disscussing videogames here, if you are going to play the "vg are not important" card I don't know why you bother to comment at all. Also to apologists this is not rocket science, it's just the release of an app and having decent online capabilities in 2014.

@Kyloctopus I don't think you can apply what you read about that woman here. It's not the fact that they cancelled one game, it's the fact that they cancelled ALL games, blamed the Legends game failure on fans and then continued to spit on the face of fandom by either ignoring or just making fun of the franchise as you can clearly see with the horror that is Xover.

I don't know if you can see this but this franchise is as big and beloved as the Mario or Zelda one, is one of the oldest vg franchises and watching Capcom poopoodoodiecacapoopledoople on it is really sad to fans.

So pokemon bank is out today? Or am I missing something?

Well at least servers held long enough to get me some old gen starters and other pokemons from older gens and breed and trade them before the Bank hits this side of the world.

Do you all even know why it looks that way? The game has tons of enemies at the same time on the screen so something has to give, remember guys this isn't a One or PS4, is a Wii U, also it looks miles better than anything the PS2 had.

As much as I love Nintendo it is naive to think the Wii U is going the same path of the 3DS. It will not pick up like it, not saying it will be a complete failure but it will not get the same fate as the 3DS.

Whatever they announce I really hope it is new games especially for the Wii U because it needs as many interesting games as it can get ASAP.

If they made a disscount for Christmas of the Shantae game for DSiware I would buy it in an instant.

Still I believe there is a mix between years and years of trolls, teens, stupid people badmouthing Nintendo and their fans and fanboys which to them their precious company is anything but flawless.

What would be a Wii U version exclusive? This games are looking better by the day.

Jesus F Christ, the 3DS is a freaking juggernaut of Nintendo franchises, really we already have Mario, Zelda, DKC, Kid Icarus, Pokemon, Starfox, SSB and soon Kirby and Yoshi, the only missing franchises would be Metroid and F-Zero and I think this console would be the first handheld to have all major franchises in it.

Much has been debated and while I think Kirk could be arrogant I agree with most of his points. Nintendo is nowhere near going belly up and if it where it would be a loviedoodle sad day for games as dudebros and F2P games would take all of the market.

BUT it is true that they are loviedoodling up big time, as much as they and fans like to think they are not competing with anyone they are, though Sony and MS offer other services apart from games it does not mean they are not in the gaming business. Yeah their offers are different but they are still gaming offers, and while being unique is part of a succesful business it does not mean you should alienate yourself from certain standards in your own industry. So what I'm telling is, no they shouldn't release another console with PS4 or One specs while this generation is still kicking, it would be suicide. But they SHOULD at least release a competent online service, they have no excuse for not having it.

That alone would improve the Wii U status right now and would keep quite healthy numbers until this gen is done. Really being a fan of Nintendo is cheering their success but at the same time criticizing their failures, not just saying they are the best all the time and all the others are stupid, that is just the worst kind of fanboyism. They could improve a lot and frankly they need to, why rely only on the 3DS when you could do it with both Wii U AND 3DS. Could you imagine if we could have some of the great 3rd party games along with the superb 1st party offers in the same console? It would be gaming bliss in the likes which have not been seen since the SNES days.

Man even though I played R/S/E I never noticed the music too much, but after reading about trumpets and listening again in this video the soundtrack I can't help but laugh at the accuracy of the meme, damn trumpets.

This game will probably boost by some millions 3DS sales to be sure. But probably not half of GTAV numbers, that series is just some special case.
