I was going to buy the original DSi Shantae game but I guess I'll wait for this version. Perhaps the Megaman collection and SW Heist, not bad but not super good. How I wish Capcom would release their GBA Megaman Anniversary Collection in 3DS format, if only to see V with colored sprites...
@NintendoFan64 While it is true that the NX being underpowered is a rumor, taking into account Nintendo philosophy in regards with hardware and their stubborness since the Wii that lightning can strike twice with that strategy, I don't doubt for a bit that the NX will be a failure because it will not meet the specs that are pretty much considered standard these days thus missing out again on third parties.
The only way the NX can be successful is either being at least as powerful as the PS4 or the One or have an unbelievable gimmick that catches on.
The problem I think is not that Samus is not the main character, the problem I think is that this is technically the Triforce Heroes version of Metroid which would be ok if we already had a proper Metroid game. You don't give snacks to people in a restaurant and expect they be happy when they went there for the main course.
Also while I don't have a beef with the art style I do have a beef with graphics, this looks like a DS game, Jesus we are already 3 years into the 3DS life I expect better.
There are some of us who enjoy having a timeline and all the lore it implies. The nods and watching stories unfold for long peroids of time is fun. Guess some fans here take Miyamoto words as gospel and don't even bat an eye at stories because "muh gameplay".
Still the official timeline is a mess, I liked it better when it was a fan proposal of 2 timelines, the child one and the adult one with the occasional spinoff.
@Gunnerholic I wish fans would see this as well, Nintendo consoles being first party only is not something I like, I want more variety along with the amazing games Nintendo creates.
@Project_Dolphin of course they don't have to, they have enough third party support to not have this massive droughts. It is not a game of who is better or who is not, it is about having enough games so that aside from a very reduced community of hardcore fans you also have a healthy community of normal fans. I don't want all games on a single console, but I don't want Nintendo consoles just be that, I want the comfort of having Nintendo offerings along with multiplat games without resorting to other consoles, is that so hard to understand?
And I'm not alone in this, numbers don't lie and the potential customers are dwindling.
@Project_Dolphin You are clearly a fanboy, Nintendo can do no wrong and everyone is in the wrong. Everything is excusable for them, hell you've used every defence in the book I'm amazed you don't work for them in PR.
Let's get real, you've already been explained why they are failing and it is true, they NEED third parties, full period. Not buts, no nothing, they need them, every Nintendo fan that harkens back at "good ol' days" of the NES and SNES does so because aside from the great first party offerings we had the best third party offerings too. Just compare game collections from any console post SNES and you'll see a decline in number and variety of games ending in a mostly Nintendo centric collection and it is not because only Nintendo is the best.
Nintendo alone can't sustain the console, the droughts are unbearable and it hurts the console hard. Hell imagine having the latest Zelda, Mario, Star Fox or Metroid along with the latest numbered Final Fantasy, Dark Souls, Doom, Assassin Creed, or Persona. I already feel you disregarding each game I described, and you know what I get you, you and many Nintendo enthusiasts are the product of their mistakes, as third parties abandoned them you had to conform with only their offerings and you loved them so much your minds made up excuse after excuse of how bad third parties were until you believed them, and now they are fact even if you are wrong.
Point is to get third parties there must be massive undertakings from Nintendo but the first and more important is giving them a console that they can port all their multiplats. And for that they need to compete on a hardware and software (internet, accounts, all that jazz) side. I'm really sad about Nintendo, I've supported the countless times but I can no longer turn a blind eye to their screw ups, they need to adapt or die.
Way to sound like sour grapes, can some of you be less jaded? There shouldn't be a deeper reason to have Ryu in here other than money and fanservice, enjoy it for what it is and not for what you want it to be.
After burning lots of bridges (and cities, farms, cute little babies, etc.) by even mentioning a sequel to Legends 2 and then canceling it and blaming the fans, Capcom really has an almost insurmountable obstacle in the way of reviving the franchise. Though a sequel to ZXA would be a welcomed attempt.
@HappyMaskedGuy no, you GTFO, when you are mature enough to reply like an adult come back.
@SnuggleMon perhaps it is the case but really, I'm not feeling it, aesthetic has a lot to do with it, it may be the best 3D plataformer/collectathon ever but presentation is usually important in this kind of things and people are giving them a free pass because their pedigree. Again after being burned by MN9 pedigree alone can't convince me, I'll wait and see, but I don't like it right now.
I'm not feeling it, from the stupid name to the try-hard characters (which look like something from BabyTV) even if it's being developed by exRare staff I don't like the concept. And after Mighty No. 9 I'm cautious about anything that claims to be a spiritual successor of a beloved franchise.
I don't know why people have trouble with this games, really, they are challenging at parts but overall they are easy unless you are shooting for S rank. This comes from a guy who can breeze through them but still has a hard time in many Mario levels.
Sadly it seems that that game too has low chances of being sold again due to licences problems. It's a shame though for such great games being brought down by this things.
@audiobrainiac Good luck on Marvel Vs Capcom on anything, until they solve their licence problem with Disney they can't make or sell anything related to that franchise anywhere.
Looks nice, handhelds are sorely missing FPS worth playing, though it would be naive to think this could open the floodgates I hope we see a couple more games of that genre.
I don't understand how can people like the pixelated looks of the XL, well different tastes I guess, still no regular New 3DS is silly and more silly is no AC adapter with the XL. Sometimes I wonder what the hell is going on at Nintendo businesswise.
TrueWiiMaster, you are verything wrong with a Nintendo fanboy, sorry it had to be said. Your rethoric is quite weak and nonsense, you do understand what is a rental service right? You pay for a service, in this case games and as long as you keep paying you keep using them, you don't pay you don't use them, easy right?
How in the name of all reasonable is that helding games hostage? You are still able to buy the games and sometimes at a discounted price only available to those in the service in which case if you stop paying for the service you retain those game because you PURCHASED them. Really you are trying to argue with nonsense.
This is itching me, Zero is not a spin off, is what comes after the X series, and before ZX and Legends, which are all part of the same universe. The spin offs are the Battle Network series and Starforce.
At this point fans should be aware the Wii U will be at best in the GC place this gen. It won't sell like crazy, it will have few games aside from first party and it will be the underdog this whole gen. I hope this teaches Nintendo a valuable lesson for their next console, I mean we still haven't got accounts, what the heck Nintendo (and no Miiverse accounts don't count, we can't link our purchases to that)?
Late to the party but here is what I think, Nintendo should buy some IPs, not the whole company, just some IPs. What IPs? Well Megaman is a given, that franchise is like 80% Nintendo, Phoenix Wright would be another one, as Viewtiful Joe and Ghosts n' Goblins. Those four are like a buy them out right now.
Now there is other IP I would like Nintendo to get though it would be understandable if someone else had it, and it is Okami. Aside from that all other IPs would be better suited for other companies, Street Fighter specially should be from a third party always, being a Nintendo exclusive would kill the franchise as many people outright hate Nintendo consoles and would not buy one just for the game, the game should be on as many platforms as possible.
@Funny_Moblin but thats the point, Samus wasn't this pin up girl in powersuit which just happened to kick ass, it was a motherloving bounty hunter which couldn't care less about looking pretty. That is not to say she wasn't but trying to sexualise her just to make her more waifu material because japanese men can't have strong female leads is just pathetic.
I just hope we can finally get a the "lost" (I mean who the love losses source code?) GBA Anniversary Collection, this series has a huge legacy and it should be respected. Please watch the profanity — TBD
Discovered him last year, the guy is simply on another level, his acapella vg arrangements are the best I've heard. One thing that makes me curious is how he gets away with selling his songs since they are copyrighted material, and selling them on iTunes for example should be illegal.

@SuperiorYoshi87 Agreed, I may not watch it religiously but I like the NFL quite a lot, I watch it when I can and I am as much as a bro/dude guy as I am king of the universe. The Super Bowl is an annual meeting between my father and I and we watch the whole game, which I may understand why some people not like it but it is anything but boring, lots of strategy and fast paced action everytime they try to advance/defend, it is an amazing sport.

Sacrificing it would kill completely the console, I mean without it the Wii U is just a PS3 or 360 from Nintendo, and if it is having a hard time now imagine if it hadn't the pad. At most a Pro controller should be included in the basic console along the pad just to have options.
